    I played Cities Xl (last game) previously and i was sort of satisfied. Yesterday i got my anticipated Cities XXL and played for around 10hours before writing this. Believe it or not, i am planning to uninstall it cs it a total wastage of my disk space. It nothing but a small add-on or DLC which should not cost more than 4USD(my personal opinion), but they are charging a whole 39.99USD atI played Cities Xl (last game) previously and i was sort of satisfied.     There are one or two updates to the game. First, you can place individual ordinary buildings rather than zoning and waiting to see what pops up, which I don't remember before. Plus it does run smoother than the previous version. But can anybody justify spending £15 on something that most other games release as a free update? No, absolutely not.     The only difference in this game compared to the last one is the X in its name. It has the same horrible graphics, the same crappy character design, same cheesy music, same maps. Literally nothing has changed.     Absolute zero. This should be a free update or 2$ DLC at least. There is only one difference to Cities XL - performance, rest is the same, and they added one "X" to the title.

    This game is not good. The performance is terrible. The UI is bad. The sound is bad. The graphics are bad.

    The fact that a developer can get away with this and actually have people defending them It is testament to level of crazy you find on the internet. These clowns have been repackaging the same broken game for 5 years now, claiming to have fixed it when in reality each repackaging does extremely little to improve the seriously broken engine.     I wanted to try a game that seemed to have a lot of effort put into it, but that many people considered "terrible" and, well, yeah, there was a reason everyone thought this game just wasn't worth the time. My biggest issue is that the presentation of the game is misleading. I approached the game with an open mind but then, immediately, I felt cheated.     Practically DLC and adds little functionality besides Steam Workshop support and multi-core support. Yet the game still lags like bloody hell on my i7. Focus, ya done goofed. Wave bye bye to your fans.

    This game should not be sold since nothing has changed. The only thing that has changed is the UI. They advertised that it would contain over 1000+ buildings, the game does not contain half of that. The company behind this game should be ashamed of what they release. It just another trick to earn simple and fast money.

    As I suspected, the only thing new about this game is the X in the title.
    They think it is very clever to fix the original game's bugs and then release the update as a new game and charge everyone good money for it.

    Why would the devs charge us for only UI difference with Cities XL Platinum..? they should give us a gameplay screenshot next time to make their customers trust on them..

But no. I've got a Intel Core i7 4790K with 4 cores. Conspiracy theory! 4790:4 is 1197,5. Take away the 7,5. You've got 119. Switch 119. 911. 9 / 11.    Game Wars: The Clone Wars.

    I was really looking forward to this game. It's such a big disappointment. Even Simcity 2013 is better.
    This game may have bigger maps but I find it impossible to enjoy. The game turns out to be very boring. I couldn't play it more than an hour. Besides it is the same game I bought more than two years ago.
    Simcity is way better than this in every other aspect.

    In short, this is not a new game. It's a patched thing. Cities XXL 'Frankenstein' is grotesque and has no soul. It's a creation of parts of their ancestors. If you are kind, will say this is a patch or DLC to heal the crap that came before.

    Focus Home Interactive should be banned after presenting this unfortunate contribution to the world of games.

    Terrible game. The graphics are horrific. Still blocked traffic at certain draw distances, until you zoom in and can see actual models. Upgrading road networks still a horror show. There is very little progression as you can just splat down a lot of housing and even more industry and just keep topping up until they are happy.     This game is a shame for city-builder. Graphics horrible, a horrible menu, is all without soul, mat colors, no train (201555555555!!!!!) zero optimization, engine schedules zero, zero management. For resume this CITIES (xxl) : Price zéro don't buy that bull.... NOT RECOMMANDED !!!!

I was expecting them to actually do something about that, but they never fixed any of their bugs. Same engine, Same buildings, Same everything.     This is the same game, the exact same thing! Same graphics, same maps, same textures, same menus, zero difference. It even has the same bugs, nothing is fixed. You can load your buggy dry saved games from the previous series, and play them in the same exact buggy dry way. Essentially I still believe this is better than that turd called the False Sim City reboot due to the BS we had toe deal with.

    Wow,this game.... I have no words. Ive got an I7 5960X (8 cores unlocked) And it still lags.....Who optimised this game Just WOW... Crysis 3 is optimised better than this game.

    Just the same game republished once again. No matter the price tag, don't reward them with your money. Buy Cities Skylines instead if you feel like city building.

    I agree with all of the negative reviews for this game, is is ridiculous how much it costs for so little, there is almost no difference between Xl XXL at most is should maybe $5-10 for this, and it should be a expansion pack instead of a standalone.

    The new engine does fix some lagging issues that are existent in XL and the interface is easier to use. An example bridges have there own section now and is easier and not as time consuming. The view options they have added a nice feature which allows you to change the look of the sky (Sunny, Cloudy) etc.

    But overall not worth buying your better off just keeping with XL    … Expand

    The graphics on this game is awful and it is completely identical to it's predecessors. The game controls are in no way smooth, and for this game it deserves a 0.

    Cities XL is quite nice but in Cities XXL, I can't play this game even for 15 minutes. Improve graphics, gameplay? No, the graphics is nice but the gameplay is terrible, worse than Cities XL. I can't even choose where to the house locate. After I played Cities XXL for 5 minutes, I changed to Cities Skylines and it's the good one. Cities XL is 80% better than this garbage.

    This is a steam game, which means that you do not even own it after you pay for it. Don't waste your money.

    I am a New Comer in the Cities Xl series and from what i've seen in my 5 hrs of gameplay the game has so much potential to be so much more but fails. It features an incredible host of options and game play mechanics when it comes to the whole City Building/Sim genre. However, no matter the number of updates, it still remains a mess plagued by technical issues. It has not been optimizedI am a New Comer in the Cities Xl series and from what i've seen in my 5 hrs of gameplay the game has so much potential to be so much more but fails. It features an incredible host of options and game play mechanics when it comes to the whole City Building/Sim genre. However, no matter the number of updates, it still remains a mess plagued by technical issues. It has not been optimized well and Lags upon reaching a big enough city size. The Traffic system cars use is insane and there aren't enough terrain editing options. There were fun moments of course , but eventually it found itself in my recycling bin.… Expand

    Cities XXL is almost identical to its predecessors, but despite the slight technical improvement, other parts remain the same or even worse. Hands off. [Issue#251]

    Do you remember Cities XL from 2009? Or Cities XL 2011? Or Cities XL 2012? Or Cities XL Platinum? Cities XXL is the same game, just with a new price tag. [04/2015, p.65]

    Cities XXL is itself a solid strategy. The city, that you can build, is really XXL. Bugs are annoying, but you can live with it. Worse is, that the game is the same as its predecessor. Without exaggeration. Almost exactly the same.
