Feb 5, 2015Absolute zero. This should be a free update or 2$ DLC at least. There is only one difference to Cities XL - performance, rest is the same, and they added one "X" to the title.
-
Feb 5, 2015Srsly focus? this is a new game? facepalm for you guys... This game should not be sold since nothing has changed. This "NEW" game run AGAIN in one core, srsly guys wtf?

Mar 16, 2015Practically DLC and adds little functionality besides Steam Workshop support and multi-core support. Yet the game still lags like bloody hell on my i7. Focus, ya done goofed. Wave bye bye to your fans.
-
Feb 6, 2015I thought that this can't be true, but... Every release... same **** Don`t give them your hard earned money. It's not worth a thing.
Just cant believe that .... its so sad. -
Feb 6, 2015what the hell they have in their minds... it exactly the same **** as Cities xl it look like more a mod than a new game, can belive that they do it again and agai anda again since cities xl 2011
-
Feb 5, 2015This game should not be sold since nothing has changed. The only thing that has changed is the UI. They advertised that it would contain over 1000+ buildings, the game does not contain half of that. The company behind this game should be ashamed of what they release. It just another trick to earn simple and fast money.

Feb 5, 2015Why would the devs charge us for only UI difference with Cities XL Platinum..? they should give us a gameplay screenshot next time to make their customers trust on them..
Zero point *thumbs down -

Feb 10, 2015I was really looking forward to this game. It's such a big disappointment. Even Simcity 2013 is better.
This game may have bigger maps but I find it impossible to enjoy. The game turns out to be very boring. I couldn't play it more than an hour. Besides it is the same game I bought more than two years ago.
Simcity is way better than this in every other aspect. -

Feb 9, 2015In short, this is not a new game. It's a patched thing. Cities XXL 'Frankenstein' is grotesque and has no soul. It's a creation of parts of their ancestors. If you are kind, will say this is a patch or DLC to heal the crap that came before.
Focus Home Interactive should be banned after presenting this unfortunate contribution to the world of games. -

Feb 18, 2015I only say:
Hard to play
No changes of the game. Only the size
Expensive.
Much bugs.
My steam crashes really much.
I played 10 minutes and then, uninstall
I don't recommend. -
Feb 24, 2015This game is a shame for city-builder. Graphics horrible, a horrible menu, is all without soul, mat colors, no train (201555555555!!!!!) zero optimization, engine schedules zero, zero management. For resume this CITIES (xxl) : Price zéro don't buy that bull.... NOT RECOMMANDED !!!!

May 17, 2015Wow,this game.... I have no words. Ive got an I7 5960X (8 cores unlocked) And it still lags.....Who optimised this game Just WOW... Crysis 3 is optimised better than this game.
-
Feb 11, 2015Una autentica basura como los 2 anteriores.La idea del juego en general es buena......pero esta muy mal hecho y funciona de pena, con muchisimos fallos, errores, no vale la pena pagar por este juego.
-
Feb 5, 2015Focus Home has finally gotten around to fixing the engine! Only took 4 years but the game now has multi-core support. If you have been staying away from the series since the first ones horrible performance this is the first one that is worth another look.
-
Feb 11, 2015boycott those idiots who made this **** **** game. and don't buy their products. this game suppose to be free to play and i just hope this awful series will be killed because of this abomination. my winner as the worst game of 2015 for now.

Apr 19, 2015Cities XXL is PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S PAIN AS WE KNOW IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Apr 10, 2015sure its a bit dated and in need of some polishing, but in spite of all the negative reviews this is one of the best city builder out there, just check out xlnation.net and see what you can do with it that you cannot do with any other game of this type. gave it 10/10 to offset all the 0/10 reviews. its easily 7/10
-
May 24, 2015Just the same game republished once again. No matter the price tag, don't reward them with your money. Buy Cities Skylines instead if you feel like city building.
-
Dec 8, 2016IF you do not own any of the previous versions of Cities this game is good! But, as the others say should have been sold as just an add-on, when it first came out. It is stand alone and i think the current version includes content from all the other cities releases.
-
Dec 3, 2015Steps to making Cities XXL:
1. Open Cities XL Platinum source file
2. Copy
3. Open Cities XXL source file
4. Paste
5. Put on Steam for $40.000!!!!!!!!?!??!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!?
I don't get it. How can you screw up a CITY-BUILDER?!?!?!?!??!
Like everyone said: Buy Cities: Skylines. -
Mar 31, 2015Hands down the best city building game ever on the market. Makes all the rest look like children's games. Yes, it's familiar and I wish there was more new content. That doesn't change the fact that it towers over it's competition.

May 27, 2015The graphics on this game is awful and it is completely identical to it's predecessors. The game controls are in no way smooth, and for this game it deserves a 0.
-
Jul 3, 2015Cities XL is quite nice but in Cities XXL, I can't play this game even for 15 minutes. Improve graphics, gameplay? No, the graphics is nice but the gameplay is terrible, worse than Cities XL. I can't even choose where to the house locate. After I played Cities XXL for 5 minutes, I changed to Cities Skylines and it's the good one. Cities XL is 80% better than this garbage.
-
Jul 19, 2016Very good gameplay, with lost of things to keep me interested and with generaly ok graphics. This game however does lag when my cities become to large but apart from that there is no other negative points to be made.

Dec 4, 2016Sorry but I liked it, I gmae this game more and less 50/80 hours and I have 4 cities with 4 millions persons and I have a good experience. Is true that when you have 2 or 3 hours gaming the game is unplayed.... but is a good game :)
-
Mar 23, 2018I paid €40 for this game but it doesn’t work and it is a copy from all the other cities xl games...
-
Aug 19, 2018This is a steam game, which means that you do not even own it after you pay for it. Don't waste your money.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Apr 10, 2015Cities XXL is almost identical to its predecessors, but despite the slight technical improvement, other parts remain the same or even worse. Hands off. [Issue#251]
-
CD-ActionApr 1, 2015Do you remember Cities XL from 2009? Or Cities XL 2011? Or Cities XL 2012? Or Cities XL Platinum? Cities XXL is the same game, just with a new price tag. [04/2015, p.65]
-
Mar 19, 2015Cities XXL is itself a solid strategy. The city, that you can build, is really XXL. Bugs are annoying, but you can live with it. Worse is, that the game is the same as its predecessor. Without exaggeration. Almost exactly the same.
