    Absolutely terrible game, respawning, and the use of multiplayer inserts, how cheap is that. Poor save points, no adjustment during play to other difficulty levels, gliches, annoying characters, need l say more, shame on electronic arts, it's the last game l ever play by that company. Wasted my money! ...ps dont play it, it totally sucks.

    This game makes my PC loud despite me having an i5 9th gen and an rtx 2070 with 16gb of ram. If I run it at low my pc is still loud. The graphics is probably the thing making my pc loud. Its like this game wants you to get the worlds fastest pc to play it.

    EA did it again, This is not finish product.
    Lot of glitches are still present, some are annoying.
    Women scream so much in battle which is not good thing for WW2 game.
    BF mechanics are changed and force player to do quest to unlock their progressions.
    Microtransactions may come soon for unlocks.

    Крюкорукие фемки, нет СССР, микротранзакции, сломанный насмерть геймплей и всё удовольствие за полновесный прайс. Это точно не игра про войну и точно не стоит того, чтобы её купили.

    Where do I start? EA has reached its peak of being terrible to its customers. This game is boring and looks awful all around. Not to mention all the political bull crap that you get pushed on you throughout the campaign.

    Its woefully broken and incomplete, you ask yourself how can I say that? I AAA game developer with the pedigree of Star War Battlefront / and ALL other BFs - how could they do that? Well its true. there are only 3/4 maps worth playing the rest are **** COD fests - BORING linear gameplay where you just run around shooting the same ppl with the same guns and then for 4 minutes at the end of the match everyone gets V1 rockets --- woo hoo> not!

    Its such a poorly executed **** show it almost seems impossible. Its soo broken in sooo many ways
    reddit / battlefield tracking all the rediculous flaws. I couldn't believe that they couldn't actually get a working tank gunner before release! The gun dosent' move with the player! WTF!

    The graphics are improved from BF1 but ONLY MARGINALLY with some nice snow / rain effects, but its RUINED by massively overdone BLOOM where most of the game - ESPECIALLY ARRAS looks **** Retarded. - IMMERSION BREAKER!

    time to kill is exactly like a COD turd game, where you die in like half a second, lending to a gameplay style where there is NO CHANCE to utilise half the gameplay elements like medic packs and ammo. whats the point if you just respawn with all that stuff every 30 seconds! COD is **** for good reason . the ppl playing and buying CODS are . usually brain dead morons - no BF is trying to replicate that! WTF WTF!

    Also the server browser is a PIECE OF **** FFS why can't you get that right???? its the simplest **** part of playing a multiplayer game ... see which servers are avaliable / how many are playing then choose the best ping... But NO they managed to **** that up royally but breaking the filter mechanic and not letting you see what servers are actually avaliable. .. gone are the days of joining an empty server to test stuff out... NO now its all HOLD YOUR HAND lets put you in a waiting lobby while the game does its MATCHMAKING magic by putting you on a **** JAPANESE server ......... **** **** **** !!! this turd game is ****ed. .... lucky for me I only paid 20 for premium access for one month... now thats expiring the game compnay can go **** itself because I'm NEVER paying for BF V full price after this INSULT of a game.    … Expand

    Objectively no but if you havent played previous BF titles probably you will be impressed about destruction, vehicles, classes and other many many things BF is known for.
    BF:V compared to previous BF has less content at launch, less weapons (weapons copied from BF1 arent counting in overall) and majority of things that DICE was advertising (Battle Royale for example) will come in March (almost 5 months after release!).
    In this "best Battlefield" game vehicles are trash. If you were dreaming about destroying enemy team with mighty Tiger tank you will be dissapointed. Tanks are paper made and the only way to survive in them is camping because assault soldier equiped with panzerfaust will destroy you pretty fast before you will escape.
    Medic class is now useless because now every squadmate (not teammate - keep that in mind) can revive you and its killing the whole idea of this class. The worse thing is that now you can keep small medkit for bad moments and you dont need medic for this because you can pick up it from supply station or just spawn with it.
    Big ammo and medic boxes are useless, Its not filled with limited count of ammo pouches but with only one. When somebody will take ammo from this everybody else need to wait in line for new ammo to spawn..... no words. Faster way to refill ammo is just asking someone to drop you ammo pouch. Boxes are waste of time.

    No, no, no, no. No matter how people who dont know how BF looked before 2010 will be repeating this heresies it still wont be tactical as BF2 or 2142. BF:V hasnt commander mode, hasnt enchanced order system, has only 4 player squads (its too little, BF2 haD 6 and even BF1 which is named as casual had 5 person squads!).
    Remember good old times when you were under heavy fire and your squad leader asked commander for artillery support or doing the sabotage in enemy base by destroying his artillery or UAV as special ops? That was tactical and teambased game. "V" is not even close to this with only "attack" or "defend" order and V1 rocket falling from the sky. If for you teamplay is just sprinting with some random people from flag to flag which we had in BF3, BF4 and BF1 you probably believed in game marketing.
    Ah, I forgot about some stupid mechanic in game that breaks balancing. When some team is losing its getting capture flag time buff and its tickets will be bleeding slower.... no words. Once I had game when we were losing 100-400 and we won 0-70! *another game praising opinion*

    Hardcore? I can say only "maybe". We are living in times where when game has things like weapon recoil or faster TTK than Overwatch is instantly called hardcore xD
    I like weapon recoil in this game but we have problem - with red dot sights (in WW2 lulz) recoil is smaller and even handless person can control it. With iron sights weapon is harder to control.
    The second thing wrong with this are red dot sights in World War 2 game. I know that this technology was used during this war in planes but facts are facts and these sights were introduced for infantry in late 80s. The only reason they are in BF:V is making the aiming easier and *profanity* casual.
    Faster TTK was good idea but in BFV its very bad cause broken TTD, You die too fast. When you start to taking hits its impossible to do anything because you die in a second. No possibility to find out from where enemy is shooting. Game feels like CoD now....
    Here is no 3D spotting which is the greatest thing in this game. But wait. Spotting now is completely gone! Only sniper can now spot with his periscope or flare gun. You cannot spot enemy tank as regular soldier to warn you teammates because spot will not appear on minimap. Teamplay focused as hell...

    Now some cries about WW2 and overall war athmosphere feeling.
    Do you remember epic operations in BF1? Do you remember when DICE said about GREAT OPERATIONS in BFV? Yeah? Now imagine BF1 without epic charges after taking sector, without epic music, epic miracle wins with armored train or blimp. These are grand operations in BFV. No feeling of "great" in this.
    Game hasnt athmosphere of WW2. Its soulless and sometimes they are almost putting political correctness in your mouth.... it even not feels like war anymore. The militaristic feel that we can remember from previous BF titles flies away... now its something similiar to Fortnite (cause of battle royale mechanics and neuter customisation without authentic uniforms and insignias). Im not even writing about things like women in airborne troops because other people wrote enough about this

    Overall I can say that Battlefield V is not Battlefield anymore.... EA and DICE killed it completely.    … Expand

    I loved battlefield 1 but this game is just horrible compared to it:

    * Netcode sucks. I need 3-4 shots to kill an enemy but I die very often with one shot because of whatever problems they have with their netcode. * Maps are horrible and congested. You have to rush to very narrow corridors just to die on the other side. There are no flanking paths. Tactical thinking is not possible. *    I loved battlefield 1 but this game is just horrible compared to it:

    * Explosives feel like throwing popcorn. In BF 1 the rocket launcher was great for assault so you could fight longer range targets or campers even if you had an SMG or shotgun equipped. With BF V the rockets are very inaccurate. Also, grenades feel very weak.
    * You run very slow in this game making moving around tedious.
    * I can only play as waman (and you play by default as waman for some classes) but not as a black transgender single mom waman with an abusive husband? I guess EA is racist and sexist against this minority? ;)
    * Again this early battlefield feel of randomly dying from all directions is back which they fixed in BF 1 which at least for me takes the fun out of it.    … Expand

    I've got about 20 hours into this game (PC) and I've come to the conclusion that it is TERRIBLE. I cannot even describe how many crap decisions DICE made with this game.

    From maps being boring and linear; to hearing women screaming all the time (nothing says WWII like shrieking women on the front lines!); to HAND GRENADES damaging PATHETIC worthless paper Tanks; to INVINCIBLE bombers    I've got about 20 hours into this game (PC) and I've come to the conclusion that it is TERRIBLE. I cannot even describe how many crap decisions DICE made with this game.

    From maps being boring and linear; to hearing women screaming all the time (nothing says WWII like shrieking women on the front lines!); to HAND GRENADES damaging PATHETIC worthless paper Tanks; to INVINCIBLE bombers that have thousands of hit points and who's tail gunner has about twice as powerful of a gun than the CANNON on FIGHTER planes.

    The bugs; the de-sync; the ridiculous balance of weapons; ground vehicles being worthless and there just for background scenery.

    This is NOT a BF game. This is a large map CoD. It's a shame we've gone from games like BFBC2, to BF3, to trash like this.    … Expand

The vehicles are slow and clunky and I don't even spend time in them because of it. Where you can customize your player and weapon skins, there is a major lack of actual weapon customization for actual parts that effect gun play. Each class only gets a tiny handful of weapons and there's almost no variety to what you can use per class. Though I don't really care that women are about 75% of the battlefield, it's just that there are times when a lot of people are dying and it basically sounds like a bunch of seagulls are being viciously strangled to death, that kind of takes away from the immersion.

    All in all this game feels empty and it is in no way worth a $60 price tag. The best thing I can recommend is to wait a few months before buying. They have promised to add more content in the coming months for free, so we'll see how that goes, until then, I have refunded the game. Do not forget Origin will let you buy the game and play it for 23 hours from the time you launch it. If you don't go past the full 24 hours you are eligible for a full refund. This 23 hour trial took all of 7 hours for me and I was done with it.    … Expand

You pay all the money for the so-called Triple A game but get a fragment of a full game, that is actually not so good at all. The map design is poor, the user Interface IS AWFULL (!!!!). they managed to make aBasically nothing new from EA and Dice. The map design is poor, the user Interface IS AWFULL (!!!!). they managed to make a decent interface of BF1 completely not logical and not handy to manipulate. The game is not stable, tons of bugs. The gameplay went to a poorly handled hardcore mode coz of the new spotting mechanics, but THIS hardcore implements the same old crappy TTK system, not a real Hardcore TTK. So everybody tend to camp in the dark areas and behind corners. This game is more about selling the skins to the players but not about well crafted maps and nice gunplay. Nothing is good in here. I strongly do not recommend this game to any one. There is a nicely crafted (after endless months of tweaking) BF1 out there, there is perfect to play (compared to BF5) BF4 there, so why pay more? **** Dice, **** EA.     There are good things about the game in comparison con previous versions. For example, destruction and bullet penetration is fine. I'm also OK with attrition even though I have no friends and I would much rather play as lone wolf. But I would be able to stand that if it weren't for the complete lack of spotting and insta kills.

This is not the fifth part of the Battlefield series - this is DLC to Battlefield 1. What disappointed me the most were the guns in the game. There are very few of them to begin with (one of my favorite bf game was bf4 that had almost 80 guns at launch, this game had like 30), and missing some of the most iconic WWII weapons. There's also very little customization---not for the benefit of realism, because in the game you can slap a nydar shotgun sight on almost every rifle or smg, like that was a normal thing back in the day. How about porting the barrel, tuning the recoil spring and bolt for faster or slower cyclic rate, trading rpm for recoil etc. People have been chopping barrels and stocks, attaching diy wooden foregrips, extended magazines or making semiauto handguns fully automatic since the great depression days, just look at John Dillenger's full auto 1911 in 38 super, it was criminally awesome. but none of these cool stuff was in a game that should have them for the sake of gameplay while maintaining realism. Instead they were just too busy putting micro transaction and cosmetics in the game like that could count towards having content.… Expand

    A really great game, gameplay wise, however it's a full price AAA game and it still has fully overpriced micro-transactions. I really miss the times where you unlocked cosmetics with skill and dedication. It's sad to see all those great games failing in delivering a nice and "rewarding" user experience.

    This game feels cumbersome and heavy even on a decent middle of the road gaming laptop. All games perform well but not this one. I attribute this to the top heavy interface loaded down with marketing hype and cheesy over the top cinematic's that could and probably should have been left out.

    Single player missions feel like gaming "sushi" and not in a good way. Missions don't build on    This game feels cumbersome and heavy even on a decent middle of the road gaming laptop. All games perform well but not this one. I attribute this to the top heavy interface loaded down with marketing hype and cheesy over the top cinematic's that could and probably should have been left out.

    Single player missions feel like gaming "sushi" and not in a good way. Missions don't build on each other and the result is a game that feels like a multiplayer game with an incomplete single player as an afterthought.

    Game itself play is alright but quickly becomes repetitive and linear with boxed in objectives that feel forced and unrealistic. As do some of the characters who are historically inaccurate and feel out of place in a WWII context.

    In short a graphically pretty lemon I uninstalled and decided not to play as it felt like a waste of my time. Just as well I got it cheap. 2/10 from me.    … Expand

    game is terrible hackers/cheaters playfield. don't support this **** game it's worst bf game and if you wan't best skins for you character / weapon you need buy it for REAL money. this game have nothing, no maps, no guns (half them from BF1)... NOTHING but hackers/cheaters. EA/Dice... good job

    Ok, so this is my 2nd review on metacritic. I played every battlefield game except vietnam, bad company 1 and hardline. Lack of balance, ttk is a joke, lack of "battlefield moments", maps are **** (it is important to notice that low ttk + **** maps = **** experience), classes are so boring. This game is boring. At some point I thought that BF1 is boring, but BF5 is whole new level that I couldn't imagine before- It is really sad.

    Do not buy this game - really you will waste your money

    The game is devoid of content and starving for more big maps. Suppression effect is gone which negates the whole machine gunner/support class except for being a moving bullet dispenser.

    The only positives are 3D-spotting is kept to a minimum, graphics and sound are great and fortifications are awesome.

    A proper single-player campaign is extremely important to me. Battlefield has never had a genuinely amazing one. The stupid war stories of BF1 and BFV are dreadful stealth missions that follow a pattern for each segment. It's repetitive and half-assed. I found 2D sprites for trees on one level, and I assume those kinds of cheap shortcuts were used in all the levels. The singleplayer is pointless, but it shouldn't be! They could have made it robust and unique. The cinematic capabilities of their engine are obvious, but wasted here. It's all about pushing that yearly title and getting those pre-orders. EA, you suck real bad.

    The multiplayer is still at 64-players. Squad is at 80 players, and may be pushing to 100-player servers. The maps feel empty a lot of the time to me. Just a big cat and mouse mess. They did put in some game-modes that establish a front line. That is essential to promote objective-based teamplay. Good job there. I had fun in the Grand Operations! The good news is there are no DLCs. The bad news is by the time they release enough content to have a full game, it'll be time for the next release and everyone will abandon BFV!

    We have to get out of this yearly release schedule. The fans will be excited to play a game as good as BF3 for a few years while DICE develops a complete product for 3 years or so.

    Very bad stuttering on my 3900x and 1080ti with 64gb ram running at 3066mhz. Ridiculous that it's running at 75fps and yet there is stuttering and freezing during the game for no reason.

    Single story mode is woke garbage, replacing the men who did these heroic things with women and diversity rather than let me play and learn actual history.

    If you're thinking of getting it, imagine playing Battlefront 2 mixed with Call Of Duty. I say this for two reasons: 1. The guns are all laser accurate (which is fine) but they also have little to no recoil so expect unbelievably fast rate of play and 2. You're a ninja in this installment of BF and you can slide and ninja and parkour all around so expect even more extremely fast paced gameplay. Not only that, but the low plane ceiling and maps with sometimes 8 planes flying around expect basically constant bombing everywhere not in a WW2 air raid way, I mean in a randomized Nuke kinda way. It just makes no sense and it's not how any battles were fought.

    This is compounded by DICE's pretentious marketing about the game calling it authentic and immersive when really it's just a Transformers movie in clothing from the 40s.

    If you're looking for a game that is true to the WW2 era, has rewarding gun play, has any form of valuable combat tactics, has good plane combat or support, does not have COD-like combat, does justice to the BF franchise, DO NOT GET THIS GAME.

    I'm really do feel betrayed by DICE and will never be a true supporter of their company again. Feels like a breakup but it's gotta be done :(    … Expand

    cheaters since alpha (no joke, go search "cheat for battlefield v" and even on youtube there will be a video since day 1 (why ? because dice was lazy as **** and they literal copy pasted everytyhing from battlefield 1, meaning bf1 cheat work as fine or better on this game)

    performance that you would compare to crysis when it firstly launched even to the graphical changes on the game from battlefield 1 to battlefield v are minimal or not even noticeable.

    getting half bake maps or maps that only work on 1 or 2 game modes.

    badly balanced gun play across the board.
    for example: they introduced a good game play feature on bf1 were if you spam sidestep you would get a speed penalty making the sniping game play feel not frustrating (on a game that was filled to the brim with self loading rifles), but bfv came around and threw that to the garbage bin and made even more annoying self loading rifles, designated rifles, carbine snipers for medics, mmgs anti material rifles.
    basically ****ing the sniper game play (not counting that literally ever class has a faster bullet speed than every sniper rifle.

    the planes are still wanky and don't work or sometimes even don die after taking 1 shell/ 2 rockets on the chassis.

    i tried to "like" this game, since the closed alpha (i pre ordered this piece of **** even brought the ****ing deluxe edition. 120 dollars for literally 2 ugly unmotivated ****y gun skin parts.

    1 year and 1 month.
    still the same garbage.

    and they had the balls to add paid cosmetics to this mess of a game anyways, like "i don't give a **** about this game, it is just a cash grab"

    man, i feel bad about the amount off **** that hard line had. at least that game was someway playable and enjoyable, it wasn't "battlefieldish" per say but it was a entertaining game non the less

    if you are planning on buying this and being like : "every battlefield was bad in launch"

    Battlefield 1 was a masterpiece. You could feel the spirit of a war. Great destruction and great choose of weapons/vehicles.

    But Battlefield V is.... just really really bad. It doesn't feel like war, it doesn't feel like Battlefield. I thought that after WW1 we will receive a historical masterpiece based on previous BF, but we did not.

    Historical background made me sad.

    I'm a Battlefield veteran from Battlefield 1942, and Battlefield V is one of my favorite episodes, thanks so much EA for this great job, i love the Multiplayer system, this is a real FPS, bugs can be fixed with patch and more, but really, nice work! Solid game.

    This game sucks. It took all of the good mechanics of a game like Battlefield 4 and stripped them down to make this a casual game. Team play is completely destroyed and progression has been removed even more so than it was in Battlefield 1 which was already too casual and lacking in progression. You never really see more than one tank or plane ever. This game has increasingly become call of duty with more players. It's a s***show of pew-pew-ing. This game is a crappy excuse for a shell of a Battlefield game and you should just get BF4 or some other game instead.… Expand

I need a stylized, completely made up ‘minimalist’ Union Jack inspired logo painted on all my guns when I play as the British? For what? So I don't forget which team I'm on? My character constantly 'looks at' "ammo" magazines in game that have yellow bullet silhouette graphics painted on them so I don't forget 'this is ammo'? This doesn't feel like Battlefield nor a game for gamers. This feels and looks almost like an oversaturated and condescending mobile phone game or Fortnight.

    The fortifications building ability is a neat idea but again it doesn't feel like Battlefield, it feels like I'm playing Minecraft.
    Also the spawn menu map is too 'messy' and 'busy' and I dislike the new color and design choices. BF1 pretty much nailed how a spawn menu should look, crisp and easy to make quick decisions.

    While I can understand them wanting to avoid the arguably overused classic battle scenarios of WWII such as Omaha Beach, they should have realized that the last time some of us played these was perhaps over a decade ago with some of the original COD, MOH, and Battlefield games. I would have very gladly welcomed the chance to experience these classic battles once again in Battlefield style with a kickass modern day game engine. A huge opportunity was wasted here.

    The shoehorning of 'politically correct' elements of the game was pushed way too far as evidenced by the over the top reveal trailer, and the developer's subsequent comments and disrespect for the core audience of the game. In addition to this they didn't even stand their ground and instead backpedaled somewhat on their aggressive PC agenda. This shows they listened to some of the criticism they received and made some adjustments, but not enough.

    EA/Dice also haven’t done enough to address cheating in their games. BF1 after being out for well over 2 years now, still suffers from rampant cheating (especially on servers in Asia). I don’t recall encountering and cheating while playing BFV, but I’ve read reports that the exact same sort of cheating that still goes on in BF1 is already happening in BFV. I don’t understand exactly how it all works, but there has to be a better way of dealing with it. Fairfight seems to help somewhat but it isn’t enough.
    Aside from the fact that EA/Dice’s could do more, I’m shocked at the stats I see on some servers, with messages sometimes stating something like 30 people have been banned in the last 24 hours, and that’s only the ones that are caught by Fairfight. This seems to be the biggest problem in Asia (where I play).

    I will give EA/Dice big kudos for the player and weapon customization they implemented into the game, it's along the lines of what I had always thought they were going to do in BF1 but never did. That's about the most positive thing I can say for the game. It's still not enough to save it though...

    It is with great sorrow that I sadly won't be purchasing this game after trying it out on Origin Premium Access. The game looks and feels like COD crossed with Fortnight with a little Minecraft mixed in, a far cry from what I expect a Battlefield game to be. I'll stick with Battlefield 1 for now.     The game-play itself is miserable - I'm strongly of the belief that the Battle Series has been going downhill hard since BF3, and this is no different. Much like BF One, and Star Wars Battlefront - these game as the most beautiful highly polished HD garbage I have ever seen. From trailers to still images the games look phenomenal, but once you get put behind the controls you realize it is at best the same old same old, but realistically two steps back for every step forward.

    EA is continuing on with is practice of charging $60 for a retail game, with $60 of additional DLC that you will essentially have to buy if you don't want to get left behind by your friends or favorite servers - coming only 1 year after it's predicessor (Battle Front 2) and only 1 year before the previous (BF One). $120 for less than a year's worth of low quality gaming? No thanks.

    But clearly EA and Dice are happy to be swimming in foolish gamers money with former boss of Dice Patrick Soderlund going so far as to respond to complaints by saying calling consumers "uneducated" and following by saying "either accept it or don't by the game. I'm fine with either."

    BF fans need to seriously vote with their wallets or you can expect another $120 hot pile of garbage in BF6 coming right on schedule next fall .    … Expand

This thing absolutely deserves every negative rating it has received. If you are on the fence, DO NOT PURCHASE!

    So, I started the game, and realized my CPU (Ryzen 7 1700X OC'ed to 3.825ghz) severely bottlenecks this game; I can't maintain 60FPS on Ultra + high Raytracing. No other game has an issue except maybe X Plane, but that's a flight sim! Oh, and I'm only running 2560*1080! Anyways, I turned down raytracing and one other setting and got 50FPS sustained, so I just left it at that. Not ideal, but ok. Oh, and when changing settings, the developers stupidly have the game apply entire presets on the fly as you click them, no apply, nothing, so as I'm trying to change from the default max fidelity setting, it's trying to apply every setting, and freezes for a good 30 seconds while it does that, and I'm sitting there hoping it doesn't crash for the 3rd time until I finally got to the custom toggle and could change individual settings.

    Now, let's start with the loading screens; they're HORRIBLE. In the name of minimalism, they decided to not have a loading bar or really much of anything. All you get is a black screen with a little loading icon; I'd normally be fine with that, but this game is incredibly buggy. It launches about 50% of the time, so watching that little icon with no other indicator or anything else on screen is extremely frustrating. Oh, and if you alt+tab or hit the windows key, the game will either crash, stop loading, or continue to load and then say "server disconnected" as soon as the map loads.

    Next is combat; I used to love BF big open maps and even the smaller ones, but these suck! They feel very littered and busy with small corridors where players are forced to move through. I couldn't figure out how to get into any vehicles, I don't know if they made that DLC or something, but I couldn't get into any vehicles, which I really hope is just something I messed up and not some DLC bs, because then I'd hate this game even more.

    Combat sucks because the map is crowded, guns feel horrible, you don't really feel in control. You either get lucky or you don't, it doesn't feel skillful.

    Finally, the SJW bs. Why is this game full of sjw stuff? do you really need to add wmn and other races in there (I'm not white btw, I'm a minority myself)?? If they recreated some other battle in Asia and replaced the game characters with white characters, people would be up in arms, so wtf is up with the distortion of history? Absolutely disgusting and disrespectful to the people who gave their lives in that war.

Of course they also managed to mess up uniforms. They added ridiculous uniforms as payed content along the way. This also managed to ruin immersion a lot. Battlefield used to be realistic and immersive. Now I feel it is pretty much the same game as the competition. There were also lots of bugs and there is a very small difference between BF1 and BFV. I feel they redid the menus, player skins, added a few maps and a couple of single player missions (which are total garbage compared to BF1) and sell it as a new game. They did the same thing they do every year with FIFA. All of the above would have been fine if they would have kept their promises to build this game as a platform. The Soviet Union (I'm not a fan of Soviets, quite the opposite, but I'm being objective here) had the most casualties (both military and civilians) and they were and integral part in winning the European war but they aren't even part of this game. They gave us a shell of a game, not historically accurate, a lot of unfulfilled promises and a big bag of bugs to endure. For all of the above this gets a 3/10 in my book.… Expand

    Support do nothing about this problem. I play BF since BF3, have on account BF1942, BF BC2, BF3 Premium, BF 4 Premium, BF1 Premium, BF5. Never used hack/cheat programs.

    In conclusion even getting this game half price ( £27 ) i feel a bit ripped off, and have the distinct feeling that i would've got a fair bit more for my money elsewhere.    … Expand

    Хваленная постройка тупо ограничена и строится можно только в определенных местах.

    Постоянные баги: привет неработающие мины,провалы под текстуры или же НЕВИДИМЫЕ СОЛДАТЫ(а я вначале думал что это такой чит). Постоянные издевательства над игроками: то ТТК постоянно меняют,то пинг скачет и падает,то на сервера не заходит из за блокировки РКН,то ФПС после обновы падает,то каждый раз новые баги после нового патча и даже старые баги из прошлых частей БФ типа плохой реги. Это просто самая худшая часть Батлы,вообще не понимаю почему у неё онлайн приемлемый,толи людям играть уже не во что. Как у фаната данной серии у меня просто бомбит от этой игры,уже некого желания нету играть в это. Еще эти гниды не хотят добавлять СССР.
    Удаляю данную игру так как больше нет желания в ней страдать,в ней плохо абсолютно все.
    Особенно ужасная оптимизация которая дает 30-60 кадров на не слабом ПК( Intel Core i7 3770,16 гигов ОЗУ,1060 на 6 гигов). В том же Батлфронте 2 у меня на средних 100-150 фпс,хотя движок у игры тот же самый.

    They promised this was going to be a king of Battlefield 1942 remake and the ultimate WWII experience. Guess what? They left us with half the game and moved on to make the next BF. No Normandy, no nothing, just half the **** with constant **** of the gameplay in horrid updates. They abandoned and robbed us. I'll never buy anything from DICE again.

As a kid I loved playing World War Two games and with Call of Duty: World at War I have been permanently spoiled when it comes to the historical authenticity of a game. Battlefield V does not quiteI've been playing Battlefield games for around 10 years now and I was incredibly skeptical of this entry in the franchise, however with my low expectations I was rather pleasantly surprised. As a kid I loved playing World War Two games and with Call of Duty: World at War I have been permanently spoiled when it comes to the historical authenticity of a game. Battlefield V does not quite deliver on the gritty apocalyptic World War Two feel, however there are times where I find myself immersed in the game and the environment of it. The atmosphere of this game is definitely lacking but it is not completely lost as Tides of War could (and should) bring more iconic weapons and content.

    Aesthetics and historical accuracy aside the gameplay of this title at its core is absolutely stellar, the gunplay feels fantastic and grand operations is a fantastic gamemode and I quite enjoy playing it and find myself getting lost in it.

    The sound and graphics of this game are stunning causing moments of dread when the Jericho Trumpet of a Stuka starts screaming when it begins to dive bomb you, there are many bugs with sound but I'll get to that in a moment. The graphic quality of this game is also quite a step up from Battlefield 1 despite what many may say, for example scratches and scuffs on boots, Stahlhelms, guns, leaves blowing in the wind, and numerous other examples.

    Now for the negatives, this game is absolutely riddled with bugs. I wouldn't say the bugs are as bad as Battlefield 4, however there are quite a few gamebreaking bugs. The sound bugs are absolutely atrocious, I hear a distant firefight and turn around to find that gunfight was my squad getting slaughtered right behind me by an enemy. There have also been several times where I get stuck on nothing, can't spawn at all, squad mates not able to spawn in bombers, crashes, random disconnects, and so on and so forth.

    Oh I forgot about the war stories, that should give you an idea of how they are. Battlefield 1's war stories were quite enjoyable and mostly memorable while these war stories at launch are quite bad.

    The distinct lack of content in the game is another reason this game is just eh, there are a lot of weapons from Battlefield 1 that don't operate the same but I expected more guns, maps, and customization options.

    This game at its core is actually very good, it has potential for greatness and can possibly be the best Battlefield game to date given another year or so, but in saying that it should not be that way. I have been enjoying the gameplay but this game could be so much more.
    EDIT/UPDATE: This game has had very minimal content be added to it and I would not recommend it unless heavily discounted. The game is just not fun and is severely lacking in content compared to what Battlefield 1 had at this point. Unless you like ripoffs stay away from this game.

So I just played through BFV operation Nordlys, and it is a steaming pile of **** Firstly I fell down what looked like 50-75 meters and landed on solid ice, but that's okay because I'm wearing skis, which means that I can't take damage from falling. Then i try to stealthily complete the mission which went well until the game decided that this was not a stealth mission by announcing my presence through a cut scene.
    Then the game tells me to follow my mother which it forces me to do since i cant run, crouch or anything else to make it more immersive.
    I also have to destroy some power transformers or whatever, and these come with a self destruct lever, how user friendly. No TNT, no grenades nothing, just a lever.
    Then I get casually thrown of a bridge and it bruises my chin a little bit, what is this pile of garbage.

    The hypothermia system is also garbage. The devs have not put in the effort to make her clothes look wet after falling in the river, what is this?

    I do like the game but this mission has completely destroyed all immersion I might hope to have.

    It’s far from being ideal but all the glitches and shortcomings don’t ruin the overall fun of Battlefield V’s multiplayer experience. Although the single player portion of the game is not bad at all, I would have been disappointed if I bought the game just for it. [13/2018, p.56]

    In Battlefield V we got back to WW2, but with refined gunplay and death system which works great. There are also little problems such as low number of maps and stability issues, that are taking the fun away, but nothing that can't be fixed.

    A great World War II shooter that will grow and improve. Do not buy the game because of its singleplayer, but if you consider the campaign a bonus to the multiplayer, you will be satisfied. [Issue#291]
