    Very bad game. On servers play one sniper. Changed the story. No USSR.
    Why it was impossible to remove the class sniper? Or remove such damage from rifles? But developers don't care. And, unfortunately, I can not get a refund for the game. = (

    My biggest gripe is that map and spawn design always makes you go into these congested firefights. I hate that. Makes big maps feel small and actually no tactical thinking, just constant brainless shootouts. As someone said, this is a Call of Duty with Conquest mode. NO THANK YOU.

    Absolutely dog **** of a game, Save your money.

    First 10hrs might feel fine given you're high off Dopamine from all those new weapons to experience but once you delve deep into the core game you start to reminisce the good old day sof BF3-BF4.

Game has barely any content, the fact that it's supposed to be a "live service" model doesn't excuse such a lack of content at launch when you take a full $60 price tag into a consideration. Tanks are absolute garbage, a hand grenade does more player damage than the cannon does. An insane amount of invulnerable objects on maps, giving it a distinct CoD feel.     Game feels like paintball. Horrible map design, seems like only sniper campers can benefit.
    And worst part is: it's SO BUGGY!!! The release was delayed and still so many bugs. You can't be serious DICE!

With the marketing campaign and forced diversity and the taunt of dont like it dont buy it, probably couldn't have said it better myself. It also doesn't even look like a WW2 game, most reviews i've seen it's all automatics not bolt action rifles which is not consistent with the war.     Worst video game purchase Ive had. Most idiotic revival system ive seen, you cannot shoot people on the ground when they are injudered and they can ONLY get injured not dead. Nazis do not exist its , USSR isnt even in the game.

    Auido is much worse than previous BF games.

    Never buy this.

    Жаль потраченных денег.
    1) Одиночная компания- просто мрак и ужас, коридорная, безынтересная и совершенно не масштабная. Так делали игры в середине нулевых, и то только самые проходниковые проекты.
    2) Графика- смотрится приятно, да и только. Постоянные пересветы, куча мелких частиц. При игре на снежных картах к концу боя начинает болеть голова. 3) Ранний доступ- игра откровенно не    Жаль потраченных денег.

    4) Огромное количество багов и технических ошибок их конечно поправят патчами со временем. Это приемлемо для инди игр или первой -второй игре начинающего разработчика, но не за полную цену ААА игры.
    5) новы режим стрельбы - ориентирован на лютую пристрелку к одному стволу, какой ствол ближе к лазерной штурмовой винтовке с тем народ и бегает. В бете это стг 44 сейчас ке-7.
    6) музыка- по осушению рескин музыки батлы один, и там мне она нравилась тут тоже пойдет. А вот звуки оружия судя по всему записывался на Страйк больном оружии(может это моя субъективщина)
    7) контент- его пока очень мало, и в ближайшие время не предвидеться крупных заливов. следующие что зальют это огрызок компании, и стрельбище.
    8) Кастомизация - её нет. Шкурки на танки еще не ввели. Кастомизация оружия чисто внешние, единственное что можно поменять это прицел. Кастомайз батлы 1 очень ругали, но даже 3 варианта оружия более разнообразны чем местный кастомайз.
    9) нет ни чего нового. Система укреплений не стоит почти ни чего в стандартном режиме захвата точек. Ни крушения крупных объектов, ни элитных классов, ни джагернаутов.
    10) Ужасный мап дизайн, при котором люди размазываются по точкам, и весь гемплей сводиться к перестрелке с 1-2 бойцами. Конечно есть и эпические моменты с массовыми перестрелками, но они случаются гораздо реже чем в предыдущих частях.    … Expand

I enjoy the new fortification mechanic for the support class building, though it largely seems unnecessary and at times can be a hindrance to your team.     What's annoying:
    Going prone seems to have changed somehow. Now instead of your character simply resting on the ground wherever you plop down, your character model interacts with the environment. This means that in times of frenetic action, flinging yourself to the ground can place you in greater danger as your body might slide unexpectedly or the environment may push your prone body for several seconds requiring you to wait that additional time before you can open fire. This same collision mechanic can affect you while moving around on uneven surfaces while prone and you can find yourself being 'shoved' about by unseen forces at the most inopportune times. Best case scenario the shoving restricts your ability to deploy a bipod or even return fire and worst case you can be shoved off edges of surfaces entirely resulting more exposure to danger.

    The shared weapon pool between all factions also rubs me the wrong way. I can appreciate the argument that it is 'no fun' to not be able to work on unlocking and progressing your desired weapon, and that in the actual events it wasn't unheard of for enemy weapons to be 'captured' and used. Unfortunately it's just another small ding to the immersion that the franchise once offered. Personally I would much rather face off against foes wielding the weapons they would have been issued for the era.

    Another issue that I have with the weapons is the lack of interesting weapons and weapon specializations. Each class sports a single iconic WW2 weapon a the end of the class progression chain, however the amount of time needed to unlock that single weapon is quite long. I've been playing nightly since the Origin Premium access launch and have yet to unlock the MG42 even after spending all of my time playing as support.

    Single Player:
    Oh boy, what happened here? I was surprised to discover that the Wehrmacht possessed cloaking devices during WW2. How on earth did they lose the war with this kind of technology? On every map enemy infantry appear and vanish repeatedly, bounce up and down as though they are sporting some kind of rocket equipped footwear and operate vehicles while in stealth mode. I burst into uncontrollable laughter the first time a troop transport blew by me with no driver, then stopped abruptly and dumped out a dozen german soldiers who milled about the back of the truck while my AI compatriots and I mowed them down like cattle.

    Overall:
    It just feels, off. Battlefield 1, while not my favorite entry in the franchise at least felt cohesive and appropriate for the time it attempted to represent, the abundance of automatic weapons notwithstanding. This time around however, I don't really feel like I'm anywhere in particular. There is no obvious anchor to WW2 here based on what we have come to expect from a WW2 game and that is what I think bothers me most. All of the dings to cohesiveness, from the random and sometimes inappropriate uniforms, the shared weapon access between factions, to the lack of emotional connection to the settings depicted amount to something that feels more like a game with WW1-WW2 weaponry rather than a game set in WW2.

    good graphics, nearly "okaish" gunplay, totally trashy gamemodes. your "running" like on streroids all the time, youre dead after 2-3 hits (weapons hit mostly all the time, its not zero realism, its in the negative), and FAR too many people on too little space on the maps, taking all tactical elements out of it. you can get shoot from just everywhere, and nearly all players dont even havegood graphics, nearly "okaish" gunplay, totally trashy gamemodes. your "running" like on streroids all the time, youre dead after 2-3 hits (weapons hit mostly all the time, its not zero realism, its in the negative), and FAR too many people on too little space on the maps, taking all tactical elements out of it. you can get shoot from just everywhere, and nearly all players dont even have any team-sense, since its 100% run and gun. feels more like a tech-show, where everything is thrown togehter without any quality in the gameplay itself, how it feels, and how it plays in the environment.

    this game feels more like making a joke about war, instead of war.

And I'm not even talking about this whole "robotic females" fiasco. I'm talking about "Norwegian heavy water facility sabotage" - the operation which literally prevented Nazi Germany from developing a nuclear weapon . In REAL history Allies lost ~40 brave men in sequence of operations and only succeed to destroy the facility during Operation Gunnerside, where 5 actual commandos (none of which were females) destroyed the entire inventory of "heavy water" . Instead , in this game, a single independent, brave , EDUCATED girl does this in one go... Pathetic.
    The multiplayer is buggy chaos and not enjoyable at all with this "squad" mechanics.
    The only good thing in this game is graphics - its still same BF1 , but hey BF1 still looks good.

    This game is aweful, it's bland and boring! It is also unfinished.... How are the graphics worse than Battlefield 1 ??! The game looks terrible. Glad I only went for the trial on origin access, feel sorry for the people who paid full price for this pile of manure

Get ready to be trapped in the clipping and see bits of destroyed building floating.     So far the worst Battlefield I've ever played. Unnecessarily huge maps, very fast TTK, no spotting, annoying munitions, inaccurate shooting, no suppressive effect for snipers, only 64 players in conquest, dying behind walls, bugs and so on. It's no longer Battlefield, but corrupt COD. No more Battlefields. The best Battlefield was Bf3.

    Just got around to playing this after finally "completing" the playstation version.
    Suffice to say, its significantly better, but still a terrible battlefield game. It plays more like COD and the story is made up garbage and is as much a true story as the Blair witch project.
    I've lost my chance to get a refund, I hope you don't as well.

    If you listed 10 "Iconic WW2 things" about 3 of those would be in this multi-million dollar WW2 game. They wanted to "focus on the untold stories of ww2" and put a girl with a robot arm on the box cover. I've put about 80 hours into BF5 and I lost count of the hackers, and I mean legitimate hackers, people with 80+ kills and 0-2 deaths. EA doesn't care about PC at all.

    There's a setting that changes the foliage setting, which affects the render distance of said foliage. In a competitive game. In a shooter. With some maps that have up to 50% of nothing but corn fields. What are they thinking, truly?

    Some updates will reset your weapon loadouts. Some updates will introduce new bugs. But either way, enjoy the 40GB+ download. But hey, at least they managed to set up their in-game store correctly.

    Please, please take my advice. If you wish to waste your money, please spend it anywhere else than here. Anywhere else. Take someone out for a date. Throw the money into a toilet. I don't care. But even that will give you more satisfaction than playing this grindfest, sorry excuse of a product. Even buying Souljaboy's gaming console would be a better investment.    … Expand

    The game had a semi-stable release (compared to BF4 PC) and was actually very fun despite the game-breaking bugs that plague the experience. Patch after patch DICE releases "new content" and "bug fixes" (which essentially re-break the game to a state worse than before) through their live service, Tides of War. This is where I see the main issue is. On paper, I can see how Tides of War can be a very immersive experience; DICE wants to bring the players along a narrative journey throughout World War II as they release new maps and content to encapsulate the attention of players through the life cycle of the game. However, the execution of this live service system has been THE WORST I have ever seen from a Triple A Developer/Publisher (Not a surprise, its EA).

    At launch, there were eight maps with SIX game modes (3 of which are unpopular with the PC community) which resulted in a severe content drought and a loss of interest from many players. The game being in an almost pre-Alpha state did not help with its publicity either. Game-breaking bugs, rampant hacking, and the Deluxe Edition SCAM has tarnished the once highly acclaimed Battlefield franchise. There is a dire lack of communication and clarity from DICE to the community which becomes extremely frustrating when players want to know what they are promised in the Tides of War service after being extorted 60 dollars for a far-from-finished product. The most recent patch, as of the writing of this review, is Chapter 2: Lightning Strike which introduces many of the game-breaking bug fixes and "new content" (no new maps until March???). Once again, the bug fixes, while some did work to improve the experience, actually broke the game even more than before. This is absolutely ridiculous and SHAMEFUL that a Triple A company such as DICE, with some of the most prestigious developers of the industry, would dare release a product in such a dismal state. The content that players expected at the release of a new Chapter have either been pushed back or have a big fat SOON slapped onto it. ie Rush, Greece Campaign, Tank-Busting Vehicles, Combined Arms, Firestorm. Everything is just SOON and when the products come out they are either broken or completely below expectations.

    I genuinely wanted to like this game and support it in its entirety, but seeing the toxic practices of EA and the downward slope of the Battlefield franchise is extremely disheartening. The Battlefield V memes making fun of this game have been more well made and thought out than this dumpster fire. The hopeful optimism I had from the first time I have heard of Battlefield V is long gone and now I just dread where the rest of this game's life cycle as well as the future of Battlefield games are going. Aside from the amazing sound design and the slightly improved graphics compared to Battlefield 1, Battlefield V ultimately is a husk of what previous games in the franchise were. The game is simply unfinished, rushed, and obviously marketed to be a money-grab for those foolish enough to fall for their ploy. I completely regret my decision to purchase and support this game and I am ashamed to call myself a Battlefield fan. There is a lot of potential in this game that is overshadowed by greed and an effortless production for one of their main franchises.I don't know if EA will change their vile practices or better, if DICE will escape their grasp, but I really hope that the same mistakes they made in Battlefield V will not be reflected in future Battlefield games.    … Expand

Despite having purchased the game at launch, i'm increasingly uninterested in playing it, and find that the "updates" offer nothing exciting. DICE, do everyone a favour , stop making single player games. Some companies are great at it, you are not.

    As far as the changes to multiplayer go, the attrition system is just an awul design decision and completely ruins the ability of someone to play alone in a squad of random players. Don't have any real life friends who play battlefield? Tough tiddies then, the game will hang you out to dry.

    The fortification system is like a building simulator for 5 year olds. The most boring part of a battlefield game in 16 years of the series. AIn't no one gonna be doing that DICE who has even the slightest interest in an actual "first person shooter" hint; the clue is in the name "shooter".

    The enemy players are almost completely invisible unless you have bionic eyes, and especially once you start shooting at then or they start shooting at you. There are no "feels" in the gameplay whatsoever when you can't make out a target and as such the core gameplay feels completely soulless. It's a complete camp-fest with no one able to move anywhere and the person who just snaps first due to lack of patience (or boredom) and dares to walk somewhere into the open gets inst-killed by someone laid prone 5 miles away. What great gameplay. /s Gone are the tactical map layouts with interesting lanes and cover. Let me guess..... I'm supposed to be fortifying, right? Yeah, you can keep that boring crap.

    The audio, which is normally a trademark of DICE quality, is absolutely garbage and sounds like it has been done by an indie dev team on extremely low budget. Especially the weapon sounds and the environmental sounds of footsteps and bullets landing near you. There is ZERO atmosphere in the game.

    I don't know why everyone praises the graphics, DICE like to tank your framerate alright, as they load more and more graphical processes into each new game in the series, but they forget that good graphics also need good art, good visibility and good aesthetic design that is CAREFULLY CONSIDERED FOR THE TYPE OF GAME IT IS, and this game just looks like a big ugly mess that you can't see sweet FA in with a forced crappy Anti-Aliasing method blurring everything further. In a first person shooter! There's a reason why CS:GO, Fortnite and other games with technically "low quality" graphics are the most played shooters - tip, it helps to bloody see what you are doing!

    I played for a month on EA access, but I cancelled it now and have not bought the game, first one in 16 years. RIP Battlefield, RIP the DICE that I once knew.    … Expand

I can't remember last time I DIDN'T preorder a game from you but this game made me almost throw up in my mouth. SJW **** doesn't belong in a WWII game and you know it. I loved Battlefield 2,3,4 and Bad Company 1 and 2.

    Battlefield is no longer battlefield. Full of bugs that render your game useless until you restart, server issues in almost every gaming session (I have extremely fast internet, so it's not me), I get shot around barricades and corners even though I already ran through them, etc. Battlefield 3 seemed to be last real one.

    So many fundamental FPS features are missing or butchered, things that used to be in older Battlefield games. The remaining experience is warped to chase after COD and CS playerbases (and later, Battle Royale I'm sure). Battlefield has lost its identity, leaving it a broken and awkward mess.

    The game was bought on the 15th (deluxe version). After 6 days instead of a patch with bug fixes (Unable to connect to EA servers 2000) and many other bugs that do not even allow to play, they launch another sale in origin... They threw the owners of bf1 with premium purchased at the game release, now they just ignore. DICE did not live up to trust... Twice

    Before i talk about the game itself, i just want to say this game is a blatant insult to history, to those who sacrificed their lives during WW2 and also is an attempt to demonize white people.

    So played the game with my 10 hour trial and overall the game is nothing special. Honestly just feel like this game is a reskinned version of BF1, but with more machine games. Everything about this game feels like BF1, but maybe a bit better. Also this game attempts to implement features other games did vastly better. SO no innovation what so ever.

    Also the game is missing basic features and modes that were promised. GG, a multi-billion dollar company with 1,000s of workers cant even release a finished game. Its like EA and Bethesda are competing on who can make a less finished game.

    I would never buy this game, not even as a present to someone else. Stay away if you have any self respect.

    This is coming from someone who has played Battlefield since BF2, i played this **** game since i was a kid, i loved this franchise, i **** loved it. I do not even recognize it now, and to add insult to injury i get insulted by its Devs, being called sexists and an idiot for not believing their fake version of history.

    You soyboys from Dice can change battlefield series much as you want but don't try to change the history, WW 2 was almost 6 year war with many real, exciting characters and stories. Instead choose to go down Wolfenstein route but unlike them you call fanstasy a history.

Unfortunately this game has been destroyed by cancerous political feminism. 2 of the mini campaigns are completely wrong, one showing white men are bad, and the other with some women, who in real life was a medic. Broken promises of "The most immersive Battlefield ever" and "Authentic WW2 experience". Hard to be immersed in a WW2 game, where you can see countless women running across battlefield from both sides of the conflict.     A remake of BF1, are no type of control over the classes, where in open spaces all choose to be snipers, where vehicles like airplanes seem toy arcade style. There is no team game, the type of classes per squad is not limited, which makes everything unbalanced.

    The game went on 50% discount a month after release which says a lot. They published BF1 with different skin and different ttk and gun play in smaller maps and contents missing out.

But you should come up with a full game if you want to price it 60 dollars. sales and user count is low so it will be abandoned by EA just like battlefront had been.     It’s far from being ideal but all the glitches and shortcomings don’t ruin the overall fun of Battlefield V’s multiplayer experience. Although the single player portion of the game is not bad at all, I would have been disappointed if I bought the game just for it. [13/2018, p.56]

    In Battlefield V we got back to WW2, but with refined gunplay and death system which works great. There are also little problems such as low number of maps and stability issues, that are taking the fun away, but nothing that can't be fixed.

    A great World War II shooter that will grow and improve. Do not buy the game because of its singleplayer, but if you consider the campaign a bonus to the multiplayer, you will be satisfied. [Issue#291]
