I found the experience more entertaining than frustrating, and, with a price of about $25, the game is fun enough for those who have twitchy trigger fingers.
-
All action as the gameplay is fast and intense. The controls are great; the gameplay fluidly switches from land-based mech combat to airborne fighting without a single hiccup to the flow. However, the mission structure can get a little repetitive before too long.
-
If you're an action game fan and you want something that you can pretty much jump into and play without having to pore over a manual -- and you need something to occupy your time while you're waiting for those other, bigger games to come out -- BEA is a good candidate for your time.

The controls from this port are done relatively well, but the overall gameplay prevents this game from standing out as anything more than an average game at best.
