    Greed and Iron Galaxy are to blame for this abortion. Iron Galaxy screwed up the port of Origins, and they screwed up this one too. As for Warner Bros. Discrimination against PC gamers has to end with terrible, rushed, buggy, broken console ports to PC. WB is now on my boycott list along with EA.

    Worst PC port in a while, unplayable as it is now even on lowest settings and the 30fps cap is unforgivable on a PC game... i know that you can tweak the frame cap if you edit the ini file of the game.

    First up when I installed the 5 discs it then decided that through steam it needed to download a further 20 GIGS worth of god knows what. It did this and upon loading - it crashed. I restarted and it crashed again. It continued to do this before finally loading.

    The gameplay is solid and feels like a normal batman game that we all love however it is horifically optimised. Cut scenes run at 60fps then in engine cutscenes at 31fps and gameplay locked at 31fps. It drops consistently for no apparent reason, though admitedly the lowest I have experienced so far is 27fps (despite the inbuilt PC benchmarking giving me a solid 60fps)

    For some reason the textures are only set at 'normal' and no option to go higher... Where are the 'ultimate' settings we were promised? And WHY am I forced to play at 30fps? If I wanted to play with muddy looking textures, low framerate and bad optimisation then I would have bought a console version. I am finding the fact that is is locked at 30fps and then dropping frames seriously disapointing considering my hardward. The rain effects are great but my gosh does it make the overall look of the game feel weird. Finally in one bright spot - the character models and animations are fantastic and some of the best I have ever seen.

    To put it simply - this is a complete and utter mess and I cannot for the life of me understand how this was released for PC in such a state.

There's also some optimization issues. A gaming PC is supposed to be the titan of gaming, not a PS4 for god's sake.     I wanted to add my disappointed voice to the others. There is not much to say that hasn't already been said. At least this can't beat Witcher 3 for any awards for sure now! I am rooting for that game for GOTY. As a PC gamer this kind of stuff scares me. I really want to play the console type AAA games on my PC without having to worry about crap like this.

The core story & voice acting is poor compared to previous versions, the Batmobile sequences are clunky and boring and should have been a rare inclusion / bonus feature , not a routine rinse / repeat system that the game forces on us in nearly every mission. The combat is the same as before, and doesn't take on board any of the improvements to this system we saw in Monolith's Shadow Of Mordor. (Also a WB game) which felt much more satisfying. Overall, if the game had run flawlessley on PC, it would have probably gotten a 5 from me....but...

    Combine this mediocre game, with terrible technical issues that not only affect frame rate and graphics but also sound problems and stabiltiy / crashing issues and this is well and truly in the flop of the year category as far as the PC version is concerned. They may well fix the major issues once the game goes back on sale, but even then I 'd suggest you simply play Arkham Asylum or City instead.     Buggy, non playable piece of crap that I paid for and couldn't refund on third party store. Score of 1 is too high since I cannot even play it, but since someone made a game and released it, I thought I should reward that.

    Company does not show any sign of regret and does not recognize the problem as it should, treating it as "some people" issue. Don't bother about the 30 fps cap.     I think Batman Arkham knight has to stand for the worst pc port ever. I thought mass effect 1 was bad in terms of PC optimization but this is a straight up joke. 30 fps cap on my friend's beast computer and my computer which is a r9 280x w/ fx8320 and it cannot run 30 fps. And plus not like the story and gameplay is any better... I would rather go with arkham asylum.

    This is by far the worst port I have ever attempted to play. There are serious framerate issues (dropping as low as 12 frames per second occasionally, and into the low 20's frequently, and by the way, this is after removing the 30fps cap that it comes with out of the box), crashes, and just all around horrible performance and optimization. As of now, this port puts "Assassin's Creed:This is by far the worst port I have ever attempted to play. There are serious framerate issues (dropping as low as 12 frames per second occasionally, and into the low 20's frequently, and by the way, this is after removing the 30fps cap that it comes with out of the box), crashes, and just all around horrible performance and optimization. As of now, this port puts "Assassin's Creed: Unity" to shame. These issues are most likely stemming from the fact that "vram" usage is reportedly going as high 5gb's and above on "Ultra" settings. What's worse, even Ultra doesn't look great by any means. I have no idea how the vram is getting taxed so hard when the textures look dated at best. In contrast, The Witcher 3 on Ultra settings would barely go over 2.5 gb's of vram even at 1440p, and it's graphics are incredible. My PC's specs perfectly match the "Ultra" requirements, except instead of one GTX 980, I have two, which believe it or not, seems to performance even worse. I had high hopes for this game as Rocksteady's take on the Batman series has been incredible and one of my favorite franchises of all time. I didn't just think, but knew it would be up to par with previous outings in the series...Boy was I wrong. Apparently Rocksteady outsourced the port to Iron Galaxy Studios, a 12 man team known primarily for console work. Makes sense now. But this flub isn't on Iron Galaxy Studios, no this is Warner Bros. and Rocksteady's fault all the way. These are both huge names in the industry and can easily afford to hire the best of the best when it comes to a pc port. But that is not what happened here, not by a long shot. WB and Rocksteady cut some corners looking to make a quick cash grab, and judging by the amount of pre-orders, it's already worked. Nvidia should be also ashamed to have their name on this piece of crap. This port is a disgrace to Rocksteady's all but untouchable namesake, and unless this game is fixed and fixed fast, you can be sure that many a pc gamer will have lost faith in Rocksteady and Warner Bros. indefinitely. Yet another bad port to add to the recent tarnishing of pc gaming. Here's to hoping this recent trend comes to a grinding halt. Unfortunately, signs don't seem to point in the direction of this happening anytime soon.… Expand

I guess it never dawned on them until the night before release to actually test their requirements before selling it.

    According to polygon this game is the reason why steam refunds are necessary and I am in 100% agreement; with steam as it was previously, it was easy for companies from the little indies up to the AAA titans to take advantage of PC gamers. We purchase our games and if they aren't what they were stated to be we are usually forced to eat the cost because even getting "store credit" could take months if we even get credit at all. So they churn out whatever garbage they want and as long as the promo videos look good people will pre-order and buy games to find them either unplayable, or playable if you jump through flaming circus hoops. I know a lot of people have already requested refunds and I believe this game may be the shining example to other companies doing the same thing. We now have a right to return your defective product and if you want our money try making something that runs.    … Expand

It's not as if it was their first failure at porting one of their games on PC when you look at how bad were the couple of first months following their Mortal Kombat X PC release... But no, let's do it again and deliver a PC version that ll suffer from huge frame-rate issues (don't even try to use your batmobile).     I want my money back. Forget about giving Rocksteady a chance. The negative reviews are deserved. I didn't spend my not so hard earned money for a beyond buggy game. The game is unplayable and it's not excusable.

    Horrible optimization. It's a shame because I bet the game is great, too bad I can't stand how poorly it runs enough to make it through even a percent or two of the story. I have a no-joke system - 5960X OC'd to 4.5Ghz and TWO 980 Ti's on an LG 3440x1440p Ultrawide and it still runs like crap.     The PC version is unplayable currently and I am very disappointed with WB and Rocksteady who could not see this was going to happen. I would would wait a month or two if you plan to buy on PC

    I created an account just so that I could write this review. That alone should indicate the level of disappointment I have in this game. As soon as I saw the announcement from Rocksteady that they were adjusting the system requirements a day before the launch, I anticipated problems, but I did not expect such a shoddy product. I now have my question answered about why no reviewers were provided with the PC version: it simply wasn't ready! Please give this game a wide berth, and if you've already bought it, get a refund. The only consolation is that the Steam refund system was recently introduced, so Warner Bros. are going to get hit where it hurts: in the pockets. We can only hope that the company in charge of the port will sort this mess out.… Expand

    the first time in my life I put a negative to a game analysis, gives the impression that rocksteady not give importance to the public have returned pc steam game and want nothing more than any game WB, less danuvo and more make better optimizations so sure there would be less piracy

    Tengo una 980 un i7 y cuento con 32gb DDR4 a 2600...
    Stuttering por todos lados, caidas de 60 a 35-40fps constantemente, a veces con parones y pérdida de frames por el camino...
    El juego viene capado a 30fps, y prácticamente no hay opciones. Hay miles de problemas con texturas que no se cargan y se ven como un juego de Ps1...

    I'll give it a 1 because they did manage to release a broken game for sale and lie that it would work under recommended PC specs.

    I'd give it a 2 if the boss fights in the tank weren't so infuriating, whoever passed this as game worthy should quit the business so we don't get any more games like this in future.

    QA team should rethink their careers.

    This is post the October end patch, the game still runs pretty bad. No optimization at all, deserves a zero , but since the story is decent, i give it a 1. Total disrespect to PC users

    This is not batman but a bugged crap! Worst PC game i've ever seen. The game is unplayable on my PC (R9 280X, 16 GB RAM, i5 4460). Im really disappointed. Buyers beware!

Get as far away from the pc port of this game as possible if u got a hard copy I recomend bbq the game rock steady shame on u leaveing this games pc port to 12 people u made me get a headache when I watched Angry joes stream on the game on pc when he went on an angry rant and u still have not fixed it over all this time gta online had these problems at lanch and it got fixed in like 1week rocksteady your worse then komami for doing this to my best friends favourite franchise… Expand

    I don't understand how they could possibly port it this horribly. I have a 980 and I get 35-60 fps on lowest settings. Very disappointed, worse than unity.

    WB doesn't give out test copies to reviewers, cancels an expensive collectors edition (possibly because of probable refunds), changes minimum system requirements just before the launch, charges a ridiculous amount of money for season pass that you know nothing about, while also baiting you with a bazillion pre-purchase exclusives.

    Do you need an example of why you game on a PC instead of a console? This is it. This thing is an abomination. It is utterly pathetic. I can only thank god I didn't buy it any my half wit brother in law did. Ironically, trying to demonstrate that there are console games which are not terrible! I did warn him this would be a console abomination but oh my, they really outdid any other game I can think of. So, thanks for giving me endless ammunition and proving my point and finally shutting my brother in law up. (I might actually convert him to PC finally if he can actually manage to type in a password to login).

    Firstly, its locked at a very pathetic 30 fps to try an give some equivalency between a piece of budget crap and something made since the Roman empire collapsed. Secondly somehow, to my amazement, it cant even manage that on a rig with 2 water cooled Titan X's on it running at 1550mhz and above. I am not joking! It really cant. A priceless moment given the scenario. Even baby bro in law isn't that dumb that he hasn't seen the difference in most games. But not this.

    Don't even start me on the field of view. Normally I start with this but in this case, the fundamental game is not a product fit for launch nor purchase. Demand a refund!

    Seriously, its mindboggling. This company could probably develop a program for running basic calculus(Other wise known as a calculator) and have it fail to run on the same machine).

    I cant remember a scam of this scale since the Ponzi Scheme and colonial marines.

    Positive scores for this game are HIGHLY suspect! The PC port of this game is simply broken - period - and is currently not for sale on Steam. REPEAT! It is NOT FOR SALE on Steam! Multiple online articles are discussing the motivations and intentions of those in charge of this debacle. Just google all of this for yourself.

    What a garbage port. I got this for free for buying an Nvidia GTX 970 and very much looked forward to playing it as I greatly enjoyed the first two games. However, it is unplayable on my pc. 30fps is not acceptable for games anymore, and it won't work on anything higher. I wish I could get a refund on part of my GTX 970 purchase due to the game being awful.

I pre-ordered this game on the good name and reputation of RockSteady and they decided to take a dump on their PC fanbase. Right then - I am taking a dump on scoring this crappy PC port.

    Once again we are shown why we shouldn't pre-order (especially on PC), and how little some companies care about their PC audience. If we were smart we would learn to avoid ports altogether, but I know what a tough pill that is to swallow. I hope this gets a fix, but I'm not holding my breath.

    Another broken AAA game. When Ports were starting to get better you have this undo all the good will towards ports. Locked frame rates. Huge FPS dips to the point of unplayable, and sometimes an unresponsive bat mobile. The PC version of this game is broken to the point of unplayable. Do not waste your money.

    If you are planning to purchase this game for the pc, then you should wait a bit longer for them to fix the game's problems. At the moment, the pc version is broken. Even with the best high end components, you will get low fps and graphical issues. It is best to wait for them to fix the game.

    Ports like this are not acceptable any longer on pc, pc gaming has grown large enough that developers having QC on games is mandatory. WB apparently gave the pc port job to an external source, a 12 man team who never worked on a pc game(only console and ios).

    Was cutting this small cost worth it? Thanks to steam refunds, I expect a massive people refunded this atrocity. There is no excuse WB and rocksteady, you delayed the game multiple times for this?    … Expand

I have a PC that exceeds the requirements and because of the horrible f*cking motion blur, my framerate is so awful that the game is pretty much unplayable! And if you try turning off the motion blur in the .ini files? The game crashes.

    I built a brand new PC for the Witcher 3, just this year! I had that game    So basically Rocksteady has said that they aren't going to fix this game. I have a PC that exceeds the requirements and because of the horrible f*cking motion blur, my framerate is so awful that the game is pretty much unplayable! And if you try turning off the motion blur in the .ini files? The game crashes.

    I built a brand new PC for the Witcher 3, just this year! I had that game running maxed out with hairworks, and with added .ini tweaks that made the graphics and details even better! And yet... I can't play Batman: Arkham Knight....

    Quite possibly the worst PC port of all time. Tweaking the ini file did nothing to remove the frequent stuttering (Any settings with gtx 770 4gb, 16GB Ram, AMD FX 9370). Completely unplayable in its current state. Don't be a fool like I was and stay far away from this pile of trash.

    luckily, steam refunds now. all is good.

    save your money, and go get the witcher 3 instead.

Fights itself are fun, the story seemed quite good, but after the first batmobile challenge i quite and i don't think i'll start it up again. Maybe i'm too stupid to finish the challenge. Well it's the first probably not that hard and i have to be extremly stupid, or maybe the controls are incredibly bad, i don't know, or the setup doesn't work out. Don't know and can't complain too much with the price i paid but if you are also at the summer sale thinking i would like to buy something but what could i buy which is fun to play. The answer is not Arkham Knight for PC.… Expand

    Dieses Spiel ist einfach eine Frechheit... es ruckelt bei ohne Ende und im Batmobil ist es gar nicht spielbar.
    Alle anderen Batman Teile und GTA 5 laufen super und auf maximum.
    Es gab auch bis jetzt auch kein Patch...und bei dem Entwickler rührt sich nichts.     You can't even disable the excessive motion blur because there is no real graphic options menu.
    It's capped at 30 fps and the only way to fix this is to change the INI file manually. For me it runs acceptable though but that doesn't change that it is still a mess. DO NOT BUY IT ...unless you know exactly    This console port is a mess and needs to be fixed. Until then, zero points.

    I bought a brand-new GPU for this game, a gtx 960 have a good pc, i7 4770, 8 gb RAM etc and Its unplayable. I can´t believe myself even while writing this but so Its is, apparently like all pc users are getting an unacceptable experience. So, total disappointment, I hope whoever is responsible for this abomination gets fired and banished from all gaming industry for all time.     This is worse than Assassin's Creed Unity when it comes to the PC port, if you want to play this get it on a console. There is of course hope that they'll fix the game but in its launch version it's just unplayable for most people.     The game runs abysmally throughout with regular stutters in regards to framerate and audio on rigs that surpass even the recommended settings. The 30fps cap is a travesty for 2015 and even with framerate unlocked after modding the config file; the game still persistently wobbles. Visually, the game looks worse than the PS4 version which is beyond belief and the optimisation settings are virtually non-existent just to improve what is seemingly an old-gen title. The game even suggests to turn off many aspects to 'improve the performance' in the graphics menu which is ridiculous.

    Rocksteady's credibility has extinguished. It feels they couldn't even be bothered to make the PC version so they passed the buck onto a small and very weak company to do their dirty work. The fact people have bought the game with the season pass at a cost of £60 should demand the utmost care and attention but the 'developers' have given PC gamers the middle finger which is disgraceful behaviour and a complete disregard for an important market. Thank god Steam have the refund facility in place and Rocksteady will get their just-deserts in the end. Another AAA atrocity that isn't even worth holding onto for the patch. Despicable.    … Expand

    I have 2 980tis in SLI and a 3770k @ 4.5 ghz and cant even manage to stay above 30 fps(even with the fps unlocked via config). Go ahead and save your money, this game is trash designed for consoles. Not an ounce of effort was put into the PC version.

    Porting issues aside, Batman: Arkham Knight is a decent enough game. It's not the spectacular swansong we hoped for from Rocksteady, but it's another solid - if predictable - slice of Arkham gameplay, with a couple of great sections along the way.
