Nov 12, 2025Ultimately, the Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy Deluxe series is a treat for fans, and a brilliant new way for possible newcomers to jump into the best the Atelier series currently has to offer. It’s a perfect way to try Atelier for the first time, especially since you don’t even have to buy the whole trilogy upfront if you don’t want to. But it’s an excellent deal between the new content and upgrades, and even if the Switch 2 version isn’t the perfect edition I had in my head, it’s still a great chunk of RPG goodness for the new console. Regardless of the platform, Ryza’s three-part adventure was a big deal the first time around for real reasons, and the DX version only serves as a reinforcement.

Nov 12, 2025There’s no debating that the Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy Deluxe Edition is a great bundle of stellar games. But are there enough improvements and new content here to justify a full purchase so soon after the original releases? That’ll mostly depend upon how much you got out of them the first time (or on how antsy you are for the next Yumia adventure).

Nov 12, 2025I feel like the nature of the Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy DX Pack makes it easier to appreciate the story that’s told. The first Atelier Ryza game debuted back in Fall 2019. The second showed up in late 2020/early 2021, depending on where you lived, so it didn’t feel like too large of a gap between continuing things. But the third was a March 2023 release. A lot can be forgotten in the span between 2019 and 2023. Since we’re getting them as a whole now, I found it easier to appreciate the nuances and development of all the characters and notice all the connections and influences in the story.

Nov 12, 2025We’re seeing Gust push the Atelier series in some exciting new directions these days, and that makes Atelier Ryza feel like something of a final word on many of the original ideas that served as a foundation for so long. The Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy Deluxe Pack is an excellent way to play these games, and I think the included games serve equally well as an entry point to Atelier or a full stand-alone saga. We’re certainly not starving for good RPGs even in these early Nintendo Switch 2 days, but if you’ve somehow not played these great games before, I strongly recommend the Atelier Ryza games.

Nov 12, 2025This package of the Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy is undoubtedly the best way to experience each of these brilliant JRPGS, with the additional content proving welcome if not quite essential. If you’ve never played through Ryza’s adventures prior to this repackaging, then this is undoubtedly the definitive way to do so.

Nov 18, 2025A delightful trilogy of JRPGs focused on alchemy, both in narrative and gameplay, whose combat system has evolved very positively from game to game. There are no significant new features for those who have already played them, but for those who haven't, here are the definitive versions.

Nov 12, 2025At the end of the day, however, this is the definitive way in 2025 to buy a trilogy of some fantastic games along with its DLC, new content, and other upgrades. If you’ve been thinking about getting into the Atelier series and don’t know where to start, this is a great place to begin your Atelier journey. If you’re already a seasoned alchemist, it might be OK to wait to see what else Gust is cooking up - or hey, pick up one or both of the other Atelier games released this year.
