    It would be a pretty good game, but unfortunately at later levels the pressure to spend real money becomes greater. For a game that is centered around equipment, being able to pay for the best equipment breaks the game, especially for pvp, but also for comparing your skills to other players. It’s a pretty depressing experience.

    It is official. I am no longer a fan of Blizzard and i can no longer support this garbage they are putting out. I took a blind eye to the last few years but its quite apparent, the days as a great gaming developer are far behind this company. Its a dam shame.

    As I write this, I see who large the disconnect between Critic and User. There is more to a game then just the play. We don't just experience how it feels to move the character or execute an attack or how well the narrative is written. These critics need review the release version and hold all aspects in question.

    Metacritic needs to change is standard for review and grow with gaming culture. You are not review a game from 2005 or Diablo 2 for instance- standards have changed. Why haven't yours.    … Expand

    The decent story and graphics make it worth more than a zero score. I initially gave it a 1. But the more I think about how predatory the pay-to-win aspects of this game are, the less it deserves anything except a zero. It's pay to win by the most scammy, corrupt, confusing and predatory means possible. Blizzard should be ashamed.

    There is no way to play and not pay.
    To be honest, this game should of been called "Steal my wallet" game. Look forward to spending huge amounts of real money to progress if you want to be good.

    All I can say is: Do Not play this game. Do not support Activision/Blizz any further.

    I've been a fan since Diablo II. I had to VPN to install and play Diablo Immortal and I fully understand why my country banned it. It's an absolute travesty what Blizzard has become. A great game that is completely corrupted by psychological mind-games to take your money.

    Could see the MTX creeping in but managed to avoid for the most part. Once you get to endgame (where Diablo shines), you have no choice but to spend to keep up. Avoid

    I’d say around level 25 I had already had to purchase a couple of things to help me out in the game.
    It’s VERY unrewarding when doing dungeons etc. I feel like EVERY SINGLE ITEM I obtain I end up just going to the blacksmith and getting rid of them!

    I’m somewhere in the mid level 40’s now and seem to not be getting ANYTHING worth while!
    The game is beyond grinding!
    I don’t believe I’ve EVER seen a game actually NEEDING so much money to make it through and I’m not even max level yet.
    At this rate I doubt I will ever be.
    I’ve since uninstalled the game and no longer want to play it because it’s a waste of time and the pointless dribble of item received in the game doesn’t give me anything to work towards knowing that the game is just begging for money every few minutes.

    It’s actually made me afraid of what they have in store and planned for “Diablo IV”. I am so disappointed in all the garbage that’s coming out and calling them “video games” when these aren’t legit “games” that’s being put out.
    They’re just money makers to squeeze every little cent out of their fans that I don’t even want to consider myself as such anymore.

    One day video games are ONLY going to be made for rich people and all we will get is youtube, twitch, twitter, instagram and facebook gameplay to watch because that’s all we’ll be able to do because we won’t be able to afford to even play the games.

    It’s a real shame of what the gaming industry has become and makes me not even want to play video games anymore due to just being a dollar sign to them instead of a fan that loves the art and storytelling.    … Expand

Unfortunately, the predatory micro transactions that are thrown at the player in every opportunity just ruins the game in big way. Once you get to around level 50+ you quickly realize there is no way to even remotely compete or enjoy the end game withoutGreat franchise to start with, and more than a decent application of the Diablo. Surprisingly it has such potential to be a great game. Unfortunately, the predatory micro transactions that are thrown at the player in every opportunity just ruins the game in big way. Once you get to around level 50+ you quickly realize there is no way to even remotely compete or enjoy the end game without spending a small fortune.     I created this account especially for this review. This game is money heist. I never thought blizzard will allow to put their name on such crap. I deleted diablo immortal from my device after 2 hours of gameplay. For good. Now I am rethinking my whole sentiment to this franchise and company…

    ps. more I watch more I read about diablo immortal more I hate this game.

    The game is ugly. Really. On mobile it's already not looking very good, but on PC it's downright shameful how ugly as hell it is. The worst part of it is the interface which has been ported as is from the mobile version and is totally not adapted for PC.

    Fun and fine for a few hours, but then you'll hit an impossible paywall unless you want to sink £100-1000's into. 'Genshin Impact' has shown you can make even aggressive monetization work. This is so much worse, sickenly predatory on those who have gambling addictions. Everyone involved should be ashamed.

The game is a spot in the face to Diablo fans and purely made as a money making machine with a disregard to the experience and finances of their players.
    Lowering to a 0 with the current system capping free players basically turning free playing useless unless you don't care about progressing or don't mind Shelling out your liver for a mobile game.     What can I say, it is a Blizzard Diablo game, it is actually good, great graphics, awesome playability even on medium spec phones, fast-paced gameplay. BUT, god, the monetization in this game is far beyond predatory, it's just horrible, if you thought Lost Ark was pay to win, stay away from Diablo Immortal, lets pray so Blizz keeps NetEase's hands out of Diablo 4.

    I gave it an honest, open minded chance and the game is now uninstalled. If any of this crap beyond a battle pass makes it into Diablo 4 the internet is going to nuclear.

    I'm bothered by the bland story of the world's destruction, which was vehemently influenced by the online nature and spirit of the game or the inability to change the camera. The game looks and runs very well, and you can also adjust the graphics settings on more powerful devices. I'd leave the disdain for the online elements of Diablo Immortal to the eternally doubting and overlooking, because just as you can recognize a good poem, you can recognize a fundamentally good game.     It is undeniable that Diablo Immortal's monetization system has problems and makes the more advanced stages of the adventure unpleasant, but the fact remains that the Blizzard title has brought one of the best experiences in the action RPG field to the mobile market, and it really is difficult to find on the App Store and Google Play Store another free to play with such high production values. Diablo Immortal is an excellent pastime for those who want to complete the long cooperative campaign and, above all, could represent the perfect entry point for those who have never approached the series: even without putting their wallet in, in fact, it remains a pleasant adventure to live while waiting for the fourth chapter to make its debut on the shelves.
