It is truly a Diablo but… The grinding begins with lvl 35, the feature to open a clan is behind a Paywall, Jewels that normaly everyone has to farm are purchaseable in the Ingame Shop for a currency that u can purchase for real Money. Info Pop Ups that tell u, that u can purchase this chest for 4.99€ and so on. Gamepass for the Season and one orFrom beginning to the end only cash grab.     More like Diablo IMMORAL. Diablo 1 and 2 are among my favorite games of all time and since D3 this franchise is unrecognizable, it's a sacrilege what they are doing to this beloved IP.

    wow. amazing. i was playing and fell asleep it was so cool. when i beat a dungeon and it told me to pay for my reward i was so excited. absolutely insane. this games almost as good as Morbius, and I didn't think something that cool would happen again.

And the worst part is that the game itself is fun, but there is no reason to ever install or waste your time playing this. This is the most disgusting "product" that blizzard has ever shat out.

    WHEN you reach max level and start gaining paragons, you will notice... "Holy **** these monsters are harder..." Yeah the monsters scale to your level. So you never feel powerful... You CAN NOT PROGRESS OR COMPETE without spending THOUSANDS.

    It's a huge boring grind... It's a game for fun for a few days, until you hit the pay wall. You have two options, PAY to progress or make another character rinse repeat.

    Some other bad things about the game:

    Cosmetics are not account bound, they're character bound. One cosmetic PER character. Also they have a subscription fee, 5.00... Cheap right? DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, its a GATCHA scheme. You will be like I already spent five bucks what's another ten dollars going to hurt. It's going to hurt after you realize in 24hrs to spent 100 bucks.

    I barely got 30 minutes into the game and it already started to advertise battlepass crap to me in the middle of my quest. Litterally calls it an "unlock", imagine telling me I have the privlage to pay money so I don't gimp myself. I'd gladly pay for a mobile diablo game, but im not going to spend $150 just for my characters to be functional.

    Also the end game isn't based on killing    I barely got 30 minutes into the game and it already started to advertise battlepass crap to me in the middle of my quest. Like take the absolute trash that was Diablo 3's greater rifts end game, now add on a $1 to get the rewards. Disgusting.

    This game uses a ton of recycled diablo 3 content. It is insanely aggressively pay to win, packed with mtx and is a massive scam. Do not play this, do not buy anything.     TIME being the main factor. The thing is, an ARPG is about killing monsters / grinding for rare drops NOT about daily/weekly/monthly timers to unlock power for our characters. In Diablo Immortal, if you grind 24 hours per day, it doesn’t matter, most of your power is literal time based (daily/weekly/monthly) OR you can pay tons of money to unlock it.

    *The only reason Diablo:Immortal has a decent critic review is because admins at Metacritic have not approved reviews from Ars Technica, IGN, and others which would bring down its score.    … Expand

    If people are curious as to why the official reviews are higher, it's because the cash shop is turned OFF for their playthrough in the version they are given. The MAJOR red flag in this game! It's just another one of Blizzard's MANY manipulative practices! Blizzard needs to be boycotted for MANY reasons, sadly this is small compared to what that company has done as a whole.

The rest of Diablo Immortal is so heavily monetised it makes cheap Chinese money sinks blush.

    The core gameplay centres around gems. Specifically "legendary" gems. While Diablo has four tiers of equipment, the bulk of their power comes from gems. With legendary gems providing the most power and utility. Legendary gems can not only be upgraded to increase their base stats, but they can also be socketed to allow for further upgrades, deepening not only the need to grind but also the temptation to use your credit cards as a shortcut.

    To obtain these legendary gems (or the materials required to create them from scratch) requires money. A legendary gem can be obtained via "free" options, but the chances of obtaining a five star gem without spending any money are so rare they may as well be non-existent.

    As gems are the backbone of endgame/competitive gameplay the means of acquiring them are heavily monetised. As disgusting as this practice is, its made even more abhorrent by the way it is pushed. Every single accomplishment in this game is punctuated by an alert to the store to purchase some pack with an arbitrary value attached to it, ie this pack has "400%" extra.

    The core game is solid enough from a gameplay perspective. It is a Diablo game at heart. Though its essential a remix of Diablo 3 with many assets cribbed from it. The extra layer of complexity added to it via the gems mechanic would be welcome, if it didn't have such a heavy price tag associated with it.

    Bugs are heavily prevalent with it. With items being lost, primary attacks not registering due to latency issues, HDR/gamma settings on PC making the game hideous to look at, the map overlay bleeding out of the map window onto the entire screen making things hard to read, controllers not being registered at certain points of the game etc. This kind of thing could be forgiven during a beta, but added into a very unsavoury mess of microtransactions that take advantage of addictive personality behaviour, the whole package leaves a very sour taste in the mouth.

    Games like Diablo Immortal should be banned outright. At this point it isn't a point of a game being paid to win, its a question of a game outright preying on people's weaknesses. Just because there are no blatant lootboxes in the game doesn't mean that gambling mechanics aren't present. This philosophy of game design isn't just cynical, its a blatant disregard for it's players', sorry, customers' well being.

    To be honest I had to give the game a chance. I never really trust Meta scores anyways, but user reviews are usually spot on. Anyways, this game was such a huge let down. I had high hopes, but the story is trash. Definitely not good at all, dialogue is terrible. Gameplay is okay-ish. But it feels like a joke. As you progress past level 10 the enemies become laughable.     Diablo Immortal is a great ARPG game but it is has one major problem. Gear, and character overall progression is P2W. This is a big problem is mobile gaming alone but Blizzard took this situation and made it worse! I was really looking forward to this game but I will no longer support this game or any company that monetize player progression with in app purchases.

    So i played this game for a total of 2 hours, before I fell asleep. The gameplay is boring, I didn't have to think at all, skills are basic, with absolutely no modifiers to them. No passive skill trees, no talents, no nothing.     There's a dungeon filled with treasure chests, but you can't open any without paying.

    Game is clearly targeted towards Asian audience where such monetization is culturally acceptable. DI presence in the west is simply a byproduct.
    Game itself is too easy, there is no need to dodge anything to kill even boss enemies. Ofc all that is correct until the point where everything is too hard without spending.

    I'm bothered by the bland story of the world's destruction, which was vehemently influenced by the online nature and spirit of the game or the inability to change the camera. The game looks and runs very well, and you can also adjust the graphics settings on more powerful devices. I'd leave the disdain for the online elements of Diablo Immortal to the eternally doubting and overlooking, because just as you can recognize a good poem, you can recognize a fundamentally good game.     It is undeniable that Diablo Immortal's monetization system has problems and makes the more advanced stages of the adventure unpleasant, but the fact remains that the Blizzard title has brought one of the best experiences in the action RPG field to the mobile market, and it really is difficult to find on the App Store and Google Play Store another free to play with such high production values. Diablo Immortal is an excellent pastime for those who want to complete the long cooperative campaign and, above all, could represent the perfect entry point for those who have never approached the series: even without putting their wallet in, in fact, it remains a pleasant adventure to live while waiting for the fourth chapter to make its debut on the shelves.
