    Came here to dump on Diablo the way the publisher has dumped on me.

    Diablo games are my all-time favorites and I’ve been playing them since 1998. This game is a straight-up betrayal. EVERY single gameplay mechanic that made Diablo, Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 fun are now tied to an in-game cash shop. If you heard about the Diablo 3 Auction House drama, this is it x1000 .     If you heard about the Diablo 3 Auction House drama, this is it x1000 .

    Some people are saying “Oh no, you can play this game for free without spending any money. Just stand next to the shiny predatory cash shop; don’t go in and buy anything.”

    Except you MUST go into the in-game cash shop when you play this game. It is the equivalent of exiting the zoo or museum through the gift shop; some will able to walk straight through without parting from their cash, but unfortunate others will be tempted by ALL THE COOL STUFF.

    A mobile game that has a particularly foul odor. Think of the worst kind of body odor. That describes Diablo Immoral. Though at least it is better than Warcrap Refunded. But that ain't no high bar to beat.

    This game gave me back the feeling of D2 never stopped playing since the launch. Don't listen to cheap media bashing, the game is only P2W if you decide to make it, else just play for fun and trust me it is. Don't be a sheep and follow the crowd, just give it a go.

    I like the game, it's well made. But the insane monitesations and gem paywall is disgusting and I'm saddened that blizz didn't learn from their former mistakes.. RIP one of the best gaming company's that ever existed.

    Einfach nur noch schade was aus Blizzard geworden ist, genauso eine Seelenlose Firma wie EA geworden, da kann man langsam echt nur hoffen das sie bald von M$ geschluckt werden, die kreativen Köpfe die einst Meisterwerke wie D2 geschaffen haben scheinen schon lange das sinkende schiff verlassen zu haben.

    Spielt lieber Path of exile, die Jungs von ggg zeigen wie ein ordentliches freegame mit shop funktioniert, da bezahle ich gerne den ein oder anderen Euro, das ist alles aber kein pay to win.

    Ich überlege wirklich genau ob ich mir D4 holen werde, ich werde zumindest die ersten kritiken abwarten und nicht blind kaufen, ich hoffe viele werden so handeln. Das sie den gleichen scheiss wie in immortal abziehen haben sie ja schon anfangs in D3 gezeigt.

    The abusive Asian monetization model destroyed the future of this game. It's playable till the moment you encounter other players who technically purchases any grind you'll make. Sad, let's hope PoE will be released on mobile.

Every act you finish, there’s a $4.99 chest waiting for you to unlock instead of you being rewarded for finishing such act. Microtransactions are not mainly for cosmetics as previously stated.     The game claims to be free and that's technically true. However, if you want to play multiplayer as a free player you will be a hindrance for the payed players. The difference between paying players and free players is massive and cannot be caught up without investing significant amounts of money.     Having much fun for zero bucks (currently Paragon 15). Diverse gameplay. Even after reaching Paragon, where I though the grind begins, there is a lot to do (random encounters on all maps, dungeons, shadow-/immortal-war and more). Not rating PVP because I‘m not into it.

    Great for casual as well as sinking some hours into the game.

This is the usual degenerate slasher to pass the time for most players this is a great game. For those who love hardcore and spend over 1000 hours in a game, this is of course a bad game because in the game's donate kills everything.     However, the real reason I'm giving this game a "0" instead of a 9 or a 10 is the extreme monetization.
    After the first clear of every dungeon, you're presented with a one-time "discounted" bundle that you can buy. Every ingame store purchase is per character, and not account. If you get the premium battlepass on one char,    The game is actually really good. Good game mechanics and story.
    However, the real reason I'm giving this game a "0" instead of a 9 or a 10 is the extreme monetization.
    After the first clear of every dungeon, you're presented with a one-time "discounted" bundle that you can buy.
    Every ingame store purchase is per character, and not account. If you get the premium battlepass on one char, and roll an alt, you don't have the premium battlepass on that new char.
    Cosmetics are the same, PER CHARACTER.
    However, the biggest issue is the whole ordeal with Legendary Crests, that is used to "guarantee" a legendary drop from Elder Rifts. You can use up to 10 of these crests per run. Every Legendary Crest costs 160 Eternal Orbs (one of many currencies in the game, though this is the "premium" one).
    Legendary Crests boost the loot, so that you have a CHANCE of getting a ?/5 star legendary gem.
    Even if you spend thousand of dollars, you're never guaranteed a 5/5 star gem.
    And for a "free to play" player, you're most likely never able to get one 5/5 star gem.
    Wyatt Cheng don't see the legendary gems as "gear", but they are the main power-boost of the gear.
    A free player will have to spend years to get to the same level as a paying player is today.
    I don't mind cosmetics being bought for money, but when you can get a direct power-increase by opening your wallet? That makes the game Pay2Win.
    Another thing that's bad about the game, is that you're not allowed to level too fast. If you're over the server paragon level, you get reduced XP gains, 80% or even lower, depending on how much over the server paragon you are.
    Unless Blizzard change the monetization, I don't see this game being around for long.    … Expand

    A pay-to-win game with nothing to "win." Enemies scale with you. So you can pay to become stronger but it just makes the enemies stronger also. What's the point? Also the reward for playing to the end game is... more stuff you can spend real money on! Did you buy the $5 battle pass at the start of the game? When you make it to level 50 you'll unlock an entirely separate 2nd battlepass for $20!

    So for the first 5 days or so, I thought it was really great. Didn’t feel the need to spend money, felt like a PC Diablo game, constant drip of upgrades.

    Then you hit 60 and all of that stops. Horadrim upgrades? Gated. Rift crests? Gated. Burning ember drops? Gated. Helliquary upgrades? Gated. I’ve been running hell dungeons constantly for the last 2 days and have not gotten one upgrade    So for the first 5 days or so, I thought it was really great. Didn’t feel the need to spend money, felt like a PC Diablo game, constant drip of upgrades.

    Then you hit 60 and all of that stops. Horadrim upgrades? Gated. Rift crests? Gated. Burning ember drops? Gated. Helliquary upgrades? Gated. I’ve been running hell dungeons constantly for the last 2 days and have not gotten one upgrade to any slot.

    In the end, it's just a reskin of another mobile game with microtransactions. It's really not worth the time to download it.

    If you play through the storyline and just stop, this game and gameplay is pretty fun, especially on a Necromancer. There are still 3-4 level gaps and other gaps in the game. if you want to play endgame and PVP, you will have to give up your wallet...and you still have stop gaps. After you play through story, I would run as fast as you can from this game. It'll just shovel gear upgrades at you, with sockets, which is where the power growth really comes in: filling the sockets. When I got hooked on the series in 2000, it was the excitement of just randomly finding a unique item that really set it apart. Most RPGS at that time you just farmed money, and bought gear in a shop, or just found predictable gear in a chest. Diablo was the game to shake that up and show how fun it could be to never know where or when an amazing game-changing item might be found. Now we have Diablo Immortal where we just have to pay to get better stuff. Open your wallet, and do your daily login grinds in a dumbed-down copy-paste of a game. EDIT: Lowered my review from 3 to 0 after playing more and understanding just how bad the P2W is. I thought it was bad, but holy moly. That $100k thing going around is just for one single character.     Current peak of the deep fall of Blizzard. Unbelievably greedy manipulation and pay2win mechanics integrated to financially exploit players. In which the playfun is pushed to a minimum level and at every point the shop pops up promising improvement in exchange for vast amounts of money. Justifiably currently the worst game of all time on metacritic.

    The thing is "Diablo" has a great name and memories for most of players. Those new games are just using this fact and brave enough to make people disappointed and angry by destroying original Diablo brand. We never needed to buy some in-game currency to do upgrades in Diablo 2. Any way, good game but definitely not a pure Diablo. I think they should have name it something like "Pay-ablo"...

    Pretty good for a mobile game, resembles the original (D2; maybe a bit too vivid colours). I like the voice acting and story, but I dislike the aggressive manipulative monetization. A Diablo game being Pay2Win? I don't like that at all, I was, probably naively, expecting a bit more from Blizzard. I guess it's true the Blizzard has lost its soul...

    I'm bothered by the bland story of the world's destruction, which was vehemently influenced by the online nature and spirit of the game or the inability to change the camera. The game looks and runs very well, and you can also adjust the graphics settings on more powerful devices. I'd leave the disdain for the online elements of Diablo Immortal to the eternally doubting and overlooking, because just as you can recognize a good poem, you can recognize a fundamentally good game.     It is undeniable that Diablo Immortal's monetization system has problems and makes the more advanced stages of the adventure unpleasant, but the fact remains that the Blizzard title has brought one of the best experiences in the action RPG field to the mobile market, and it really is difficult to find on the App Store and Google Play Store another free to play with such high production values. Diablo Immortal is an excellent pastime for those who want to complete the long cooperative campaign and, above all, could represent the perfect entry point for those who have never approached the series: even without putting their wallet in, in fact, it remains a pleasant adventure to live while waiting for the fourth chapter to make its debut on the shelves.
