I just created this profile to show my disdain of this game. I cannot belobe what Blizzard is doing. This game went to hell and hopefully will come back. This must be some sort of psychological test - otherwise I can’t explain this piece of trash

You have to have Elon Musk as your dad to complete the game. Blizzard Entertainment is only greedy for money and will surely ruin many people who are prone to gambling addiction. The old Blizzard Entertainment is dead, the new Blizzard Entertainment is only out for money, the players don't matter.

The tutorial is friendly to me as a new game player, and I really like the graphics. The tutorial is not that hard at all, I basically get how it works as I finished the guide haha. Even if you haven't got a chance to get to know the background, you can still enjoy the game and have some fun playing the game.

Although Immortal was accused of a 'cost too much' 'money-grabbed game', this game is absolutely worth a try. I just played it for a whole day and I am truly addictive into it. I hope there will be more gameplays in the future. I can play it FOREVER!!!

Let's be very clear - Blizzard has intentionally designed Diablo Immortal to generate revenue using psychological manipulation and abusive tactics. This game should be illegal. The executives who green lit this game should be fired and the developers and team members who worked on this game should be ashamed of themselves. There is no moral justification to design a game in this way. The game has horrendous abusive microtransactions which psychologically coerce the player into spending more money consciously and subconsciously.

It's really a shame because the game is really fun, but nearly all of that potential is completely wasted when you have no hope to compete or enjoy yourself being bullied by the game to spend more money.

I downloaded the game and gave a try after reading an article that comments it is just a RNG game. Well, that article couldn't be more wroing. I'd have to admit that the graphics are so nice! I can play it fluently. Every detail is great in game and the graphics are in high resolution which is insanely amazing!

The game it’s self isn’t bad. It feels like Diablo 3 and I like that I can play it on both my phone and my computer. But it’s missing a lot of key things, like cross server play and an option to hide your helm. Why is the character creation so expansive when you never get to see your character’s face?
Then we get to the nitty gritty of the P2W aspect. I’m only level 20 and it’s already

Then we get to the nitty gritty of the P2W aspect. I’m only level 20 and it’s already getting too complicated with all the store stuff it’s throwing at me. Elder Rift face things, login rewards, multilayered “battle passes” and “bonus loot” costs, cosmetic items being suggested from your inventory, countless different currencies for everything… it’s just ridiculous. Either adopt a purchase base/expansion model to unlock everything like Diablo 1/2/3, or a small monthly fee to unlock everything. Not all this predatory bombardment crap it’s beating us over the head with. I get that it needs to make money to keep going, but this is just absurd. I’m willing to pay, but not hundreds to thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars for a mobile game.

And these are usually only PvE gacha games, Blizzard for some crazy reason decided to take it a step further and do this in a game with heavy PvP. It doesn't even give a player the option to catch up with x number of months/years, you literally will never be anywhere near competitive without shelling out absurd amounts of $$$.

I know each Blizzard release has been gradually getting worse since Hearthstone released, but holy crap Blizzard, just dissolve your company already, there is practically no brand name value left.

Hot Garbage. Gameplay is actually good but monetization is way too aggressive, turning the game into flat-out p2w. Definitely made for the Asian market and it will probably die soon in the West.

Pretty good for a mobile game, resembles the original (D2; maybe a bit too vivid colours). I like the voice acting and story, but I dislike the aggressive manipulative monetization. After the first clear of every dungeon, you're presented with a one-time "discounted" bundle that you can buy.
Every ingame store purchase is per character, and not account. If you get the premium battlepass on one char, and roll an alt, you don't have the premium battlepass on that new char.
Cosmetics are the same, PER CHARACTER.
However, the biggest issue is the whole ordeal with Legendary Crests, that is used to "guarantee" a legendary drop from Elder Rifts. You can use up to 10 of these crests per run. Every Legendary Crest costs 160 Eternal Orbs (one of many currencies in the game, though this is the "premium" one).
Legendary Crests boost the loot, so that you have a CHANCE of getting a ?/5 star legendary gem.
Even if you spend thousand of dollars, you're never guaranteed a 5/5 star gem.
And for a "free to play" player, you're most likely never able to get one 5/5 star gem.
Wyatt Cheng don't see the legendary gems as "gear", but they are the main power-boost of the gear.
A free player will have to spend years to get to the same level as a paying player is today.
I don't mind cosmetics being bought for money, but when you can get a direct power-increase by opening your wallet? That makes the game Pay2Win.
Another thing that's bad about the game, is that you're not allowed to level too fast. If you're over the server paragon level, you get reduced XP gains, 80% or even lower, depending on how much over the server paragon you are.
Unless Blizzard change the monetization, I don't see this game being around for long.

This game is worth doing some proper maths over in order to calculate:
    - The cost to get a break-even chance of maxing gear out with money (looks like high five or low six figures)

    - The time to get a break-even chance of maxing gear out as F2P (counted in years, and knowing you can't actually max out because Resonance is behind a paywall)

And the psychology behind the construction of this game is geared towards maximizing the player's expenditure of money. Think organized racket, but legal in most countries and on a larger scale. If it's legal to sell content you may not even end up being able to claim after all because you missed a login.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don't care that its P2W, but does a well established IP from a AAA studio need to make ingame purchases so damn expensive. Not a single amount of money I have spent on battle pass, bundles and services has been worth it. There is zero value here. #DiabloImmoral punishes you for F2P and keeps the rest of its players in continual dissatisfaction. I didn't expect Blizzard to go full scum on this one. Just play D3 or D2R. Hell, your money is better spent on Lost Ark. Why couldn't Blizzard just make a normal diablo game that has a paid battle pass system or subscription, and cosmetics? Instead we got a microtransaction nightmare with the most exploitative monetization I have ever seen. I better go and login so I don't loose my paid for login reward. Maybe later I will use a loot box, I mean crest, and get 1 rare item that I can break down for 1 enchanted dust, which atm I need 75 per item to get a +2 attribute bonus. Or maybe I get really lucky and the crest gives me a one-star gem, that I can use to upgrade my current **** one star gems which I currently need 15 for each one (there are 6). Or I can use 10 legendary crests to get 7 one star gems and maybe some two and three star gems that I wouldn't use with my build. And if the Netease slot machine grants it, I might get a coveted five star gem which I have to upgrade with higher and effectively rarer material costs and then later spend money on doing an awakening. Every bit of progression in this trash heap is met with more expensive **** to buy. The best part: I cant share my loot, currency, paragon level or purchases with my other characters. Expand

I've played the game for about 40 hours before quitting. The first few hours were enjoyable, but it gets grindy really fast. It doesn't help that literally everything is time-gated, including the drop chance for legendary items. The Pay-to-win aspect is starting to become more apparent in PvP. I have to login every single day otherwise I'm missing out on rewards. It' frustrating that you're forcing people to play it because they have to, not because they want to.
An empowered battle pass and limited time offers, really!?
Manipulating people with the fear of missing out is genuinely grim. Let's say I'm on vacation and I don't want to engage with my phone or lap top. No you can't, otherwise you're falling behind and you can't catch up, because everything has an expiration date.
Progression is painfully slow and repetitive unless you have legendary crests which no one does unless you're a whale. You can add 10 legendary crests into a single rift, but you only obtain 1 legendary crest every now and then! This is insane! I'm at the point where I'm grinding 10 hours a day and get the same gear over and over again and I get nothing valuable. In raids and dungeons only the one who kills the boss gets a drop. If you're going to make it like that, at least implement an assist system, so everyone gets rewarded. Gem drops are extremely poor and 5 star legendary gems are impossible to obtain unless you're willing to pay huge amounts of money, which most people don't have. I understand that free to play games are monetised one way or another, but this is infuriating. You blatantly lied that only cosmetics will be acquired through the shop with real money, but that wasn't enough for you, was it?
I hope Diablo 4 will be a classic diablo game, because this P2W micro transaction s**t killed it for me. I played 1, 2 and still playing Diablo 3, but not this. You tried to kill Diablo 3 with the auction house and thank God that didn't work out. It's so sad that you killed a game I grew up with and so eagerly anticipated. You're business model is disgusting and I can only imagine how you're going to ruin Diablo 4 as well with your never ending greed. I feel sorry for the actual people who worked on the game itself, because you destroyed their brilliant job and you're killing gaming for everyone. I pre-ordered Diablo 4 an year ago, because I wanted to support the company in tough times. I also pre-registered for Immortal an year ago and bought a new phone just to play your mobile version of the game! That's how much faith I had in your company and you literally spat in my face. Not only mine, but all your fans and supporters.

There's a misconception floating around in my view that the game would be great if it weren't for the disgusting microtransaction sham. I have read from game journalists that the two aspects of the game are separated, explaining why 'professional' critics are praising the game overall.

The truth is that this is fundamentally incorrect. The microtransaction implementation and game design are deeply interconnected and critics are fooling themselves by not catching up to this.

The whole gambling business is built on this principle, to create an addicting sensorial experience for the player to get her to stick with the game (be it a jackpot machine or a pachinko or whatever) and eventually extract the most money from her.

Do you think the designers of these machines have at heart the entertainment element of these experiences or rather they are merely interested in shearing people off to the bone of their money?

Therein lies the issue at hand. Diablo "Immoral" is designed to visually and mechanically entice the senses, and create a psychological addiction to the repetitive game loop but ultimately hinder your progress, induce FOMO feelings, and normalize the idea of paying to keep the dopamine spikes going. This is a predatory practice already disgraceful in the context of the gambling business and absolutely unforgivable in the context of games geared toward children who are particularly vulnerable to these tactics.

This is why this game is bad, it simply is not a game as much as no one in his right mind would consider a slot or a pachinko machine a game. It's false advertising at best and a dangerous slippery slope other developers might feel like emulating in the future. It deserves zero support and zero praise and the lowest score possible.

I'm bothered by the bland story of the world's destruction, which was vehemently influenced by the online nature and spirit of the game or the inability to change the camera. The game looks and runs very well, and you can also adjust the graphics settings on more powerful devices. I'd leave the disdain for the online elements of Diablo Immortal to the eternally doubting and overlooking, because just as you can recognize a good poem, you can recognize a fundamentally good game. To see it submit to mobile gaming's worst tendencies, rather than make any effort to be different, to be better, is galling. It may be flashy and efficient as both a Diablo game and a mobile game, but Immortal offers little that is bold, ambitious or innovative. Instead, its structure and pacing is designed with one goal in mind: to squeeze as much cash out of every player as it can. [Issue#374, p.110]

It is undeniable that Diablo Immortal's monetization system has problems and makes the more advanced stages of the adventure unpleasant, but the fact remains that the Blizzard title has brought one of the best experiences in the action RPG field to the mobile market, and it really is difficult to find on the App Store and Google Play Store another free to play with such high production values. Diablo Immortal is an excellent pastime for those who want to complete the long cooperative campaign and, above all, could represent the perfect entry point for those who have never approached the series: even without putting their wallet in, in fact, it remains a pleasant adventure to live while waiting for the fourth chapter to make its debut on the shelves.
