    it's Diablo on my phone. I don't care what other people think! At least we got another quality p2w but f2p game to play on our phones. It's like a better casino just open up next door. if you don't like to spend money or gamble a little then play Diablo 3 or Diablo 2 Resurrected. Simple as that!

    If they wanted to do this sort of shameless "game" for the sake of luring in gambling addicts, then I wish they would have just made a new IP. It's sad to see this attached to the Diablo franchise. Especially since they set it right after Diablo II and continued the story in this "game".

    The Blizzard of my childhood is gone. Gone are the days of waiting for a new Blizzard release. Gone are the days of me pre-ordering or even playing a new Blizzard game. You can take all of your Micro-Transactions and stick them where the sun don't shine. Anyone at Blizzard that thinks $110,000 dollars should be spent to level up your toon's gems is beyond insane.     Diablo immortal is a casino on your phone. Its barely a game and mostly a store front for gacha stuff and fear of missing out. Its pay to win but i feel sorry for the whales. They will have to continue pay to stay ahead of everyone else. Its a giant scam for everyone involved.

    Average to bad graphics, no interesting mechanics, no interesting lore, everything becomes pay-to-win in late game. It would literally take you multiple lifetimes to keep up and stay competitive with someone pouring money into this game. This is simply a cash-grab attempt on the average mobile gamer who doesn't know about the Diablo franchise.

    The game is your typical phone game. but the microtransaction are so extreme. You might enjoy the game until you hit the pay wall in the early 40's. It is a shame a Diablo game is done this extreme.
    I would be happy with a battle pass and cosmetics ...it is free after all.

    Graphics good for a mobile game, "okay" for the PC. Story not even mediocre, but you can pay for every little thing, but you get almost nothing.

    The sad and frustrating thing about all of this is, that it ruins such a beloved franchise. The game could actually be a very good mobile game but the immoral and disgusting monetization model just ruins it completely and makes for a miserable F2P (or "pay-a-reasonable-amount" 2 play) experience.

    Blizzard has done worse things but with Diablo Immortal it is a bit unforgivable, they put you into monetization practices even to go which stresses me too much and although the game for me is decent those irritating microtransactions make the game too abusive

    The game claims to be free and that's technically true. However, if you want to play multiplayer as a free player you will be a hindrance for the payed players.     I'm of two minds when it comes to Diablo Immortal -- initially I was thinking this released confirmed my suspicions that NetEase developed 100% of the game with consultant art direction flown in from Blizzard, and maybe Blizzard-blessed storywriters to nestle the game properly between D2 and D3. All of the monetization and mechanics screams east-Asian gambling, and as such it targets aI'm of two minds when it comes to Diablo Immortal -- initially I was thinking this released confirmed my suspicions that NetEase developed 100% of the game with consultant art direction flown in from Blizzard, and maybe Blizzard-blessed storywriters to nestle the game properly between D2 and D3. All of the monetization and mechanics screams east-Asian gambling, and as such it targets a non-Western demographic. That would have been fine for me, I'm patient and I'll wait for D4, the game's not for me -- that would have been my response. I called this when they announced it at BlizzCon, and that was their biggest mistake: announcing this to the West, instead of keeping it wholly eastern-centric.

    However, by announcing in the West at BlizzCon it set expectations that it will be adapted for both eastern and western players, unduly setting the bar as high as a regular Diablo release, i.e. hotly anticipated, 10mil+ downloads, must try...which is what we got. But then we all play it, get to the L45+ exp grind, finally hit Paragon levels, attempt to keep up with Battle Passes, rift rifts rifts and more rifts, and collect those sweet legendary gems only to realize that's all the game is.

    Yet after grinding a week in the end-game, I am starting to think that Diablo devs may have had a larger role in this fiasco. This may be purposely designed to be as blatant a cash grab as possible as a retaliatory "fk u" to the fanbois, partially because it can't hurt the company (ATVI is being bought by MSFT anyways), and partially from the perceived abuse they've taken over the years. "Don't you guys have phones" memes have been itching the backs of their brains for half a decade, and some of those guys snapped. This made them want to prove they could make a good game and hide it behind multiple abusive paywalls and 23! dang currencies.

    The final icing on the cake was when I was trying to figure out how to sell 3 on my legendary gems to try to purchase a better LGem only to discover they were bound to me. Doing a deep dive into the fine print, the creme de la creme is that the Legendary Crests and Elder Legendary Crests are indistinguishably visually different yet the free ones that we can earn (super rare, like maybe 6 total in first month?) ONLY DROP BOUND L GEMS. Only the paid, ~$2.50 eternal legendary crests drop unbound gems that can be sold on the AH. So that means even the paying players that play the game, buy the extra dungeon chests they unlock (like Kikuras Rapids Trove for $9.99), buy Prodigy Passes for $19.99, buy daily login rewards from the Boon of Plenty for $9.99, buy the Battle Pass for $4.99 and play enough to unlock the R10 and R25 rewards -- all of those paid players are getting screwed over if they planned on trading/swapping those gems in the AH with other players to try to upgrade their gems. Because those paid options only give Legendary Crests, not Eternal Legendary Crests.

    Don't you know we can click the uninstall?

    Sadly, Blizzard has a reputation already tarnished by games like Warcraft III: Reforged, where we can see how they rarely fix their games, and they are plagued by other problems and controversies that affected the development of the game. Even if it was highly controversial even since its announcement and it can be seen as part of a bad trend at Activision-Blizzard, I wanted to give it a chance. My expectations weren't that high (obviously) but the game managed to be a huge disappointment anyway.

    While the gameplay isn't exceptionally bad for predatory, abusive mobile games, there is no real reason why to choose it over the many much better options, and as the issues, focus on predatory practices, etc. further tarnish the reputation of Blizzard, it is easy to say: It would be better if this title wouldn't happen.

    If it is "just a bit worse" than "some predator any abusive mobile games with misleading crap" and a "valid option if you want something slightly worse than Raid: Shadow Legends" that is still a 0 value. Even if Blizzard knows that the beginning of predatory game should be enjoyable, and some people can enjoy that part.    … Expand

The country I reside in banned the game entirely due to the abhorrent payment model the game uses to prey on vulnerable players.

Completely ruining this however is the overarching predatory monetisation avenues throughout the entire experience, which, as these things tend to do these days, get far worse the further you get into the game.

    It's a pay to win game. Basically a **** version of Eternium with worse controls and better graphics. The game throws a lot of daily content at you, but it's boring and the progress without microtransactions is super slow. The game design forces player interaction. Now, I don't like when game designers force socialization on me. This whole warband feature is mega annoying.

    Great mobile experience however the early game deceives you into thinking that it is playable without engaging in pay-to-win mechanics. About half way to max level you hit a huge wall that requires you to invest a lot of money to by-pass or spend a ridiculous amount of time grinding. There is then the ridiculousness of the end game where every activity reminds you to but more Crests.     Gambling masquerading as gaming. I can have a 1 in 2000 chance of a single 5/5 star gem dropping or I can pay for it. I won't be paying for it, and I'm not running 2000 rifts.

    The game is good to be a mobile game, but it is broken by the extreme monetization. It's the greediest thing ever, and you should for the love of god not support them by buing any items. Blizzard was supposed to be a serious company, not a mobile-greedy one..

    It's a pay-to-win game that doesn't guarantee you will get the item you want even if you pay.
    literally for every 25 dollars of gambling, you have a 0.05 chance to win, which means 1 in 2000.
    I'm pretty sure ur student debt costs less than the amount of money you have to spend on this game to win.
    Shame on you, Blizzard.

    This is a great game from a pure game standpoint... the monetization however is predatory at best and there is a reason why this game is BANNED in some EU countries, and in my opinion should be banned in the rest of the EU as well

Getting to level 60 is possible without paying, but painful, slow, sometimes even bothersome because of the continuouspay nagging. Moving further is directly impossible. The game is absolutely rigged so you need to pay to enjoy it. This game redefines what pay toI wanted to like this game, even after seeing all the bad reviews.     What sucks the most about this is that I grew up on this franchise and I actually love the base game they presented, I would have even been fine with a battlepass and cosmetic purchases, but what they have done with this is the single most greedy move I have ever seen in a video game. The monetization is outrageous do not support this game.

    This game is P2W. 100%. U can grind for 10 Years to get all things, but yeah, have fun. In Addition to P2W, its just a clone of Diablo3 but to be honest, its one of the best mobile game ever ... and thats sad.

    The leveling experience is awful, from about level 30 or so, you're constantly hitting "grind walls" where you gotta grind experience for hours to continue the story campaign and this continues all the way    The game is extremely pay-to-win, the shop is shoved in your face at every opportunity, you don't stand a chance against other people (whales) in PvP unless you spend a ton of money.

It's an insult to everyone who likes the Diablo franchise, and anyone who has any sense will agree that this toxic waste dump is borderline criminal. Don't waste your time..     Not only is this game ultimately p2w its on phone I played both surprised how well it worked on phone but preferred Pc version would be great game if 90%+ p2w money crap wasn’t there after beating game it’s like ok do I spend tons of money or quit now so for that I give it 0 because I can’t support or feel right about the way this game is going it’s just not right.

    I'm bothered by the bland story of the world's destruction, which was vehemently influenced by the online nature and spirit of the game or the inability to change the camera. The game looks and runs very well, and you can also adjust the graphics settings on more powerful devices. I'd leave the disdain for the online elements of Diablo Immortal to the eternally doubting and overlooking, because just as you can recognize a good poem, you can recognize a fundamentally good game.     It is undeniable that Diablo Immortal's monetization system has problems and makes the more advanced stages of the adventure unpleasant, but the fact remains that the Blizzard title has brought one of the best experiences in the action RPG field to the mobile market, and it really is difficult to find on the App Store and Google Play Store another free to play with such high production values. Diablo Immortal is an excellent pastime for those who want to complete the long cooperative campaign and, above all, could represent the perfect entry point for those who have never approached the series: even without putting their wallet in, in fact, it remains a pleasant adventure to live while waiting for the fourth chapter to make its debut on the shelves.
