This game presents a new take on the Turn-Base RPG type games. The controls are simple and easy to follow. You start the game by getting a sort of "starting unit" in the sort of essence as you do in Pokemon, and the game start's you on the tutorial level, which practically explains the ins and outs of the game as well as the mechanics. The game itself comes with four primary hubs (as of now) which are Quest, Vortex, Arena and Imperial Capital Randall.
Quest is basically where you proceed along the story that is presented towards you at the start of the game. Vortex is where you can complete miscellaneous dungeons that reward you with useful items, units for evolving other units, and special events (also weekly rotation of events). Arena is where you can fight other player's units in a A.I. controlled fight, which practically is based on the power of your units and flat out luck. Lastly, the Imperial Capital Randall serves as a separate hub for other unique features. A couple other good things about this game is that the art style is very nice and distinct, backgrounds have effects and look nice, and the game's soundtrack is fantastic. All of this sounds nice, right? Unfortunately that is until you go deeper into the game; where the game get's shady.
The first thing you'll notice when you're past the first world in Quest mode, is that this game can get unreasonably difficult for no reason whatsoever. Difficulty spikes can just happen out of nowhere, and its screws you for the rest of the mission. The way these developer's handle a boss stage can be utterly frustrating and just down right laughable. Some Boss stages they will make it either extremely easy or near impossible to do. In the developer's minds, I guess they think difficulty and challenge is throwing in the worst combination of enemy units that can destroy you in a matter of turns. When these kinds of encounters happen, it's just infuriating.
This game is definitely a "pay-to-win" sort of mobile game, though it is possible to get by without wasting money, it's more directed towards the "pay-to-win" audience. The game crashes for no reasons sometimes, just out of nowhere at the most obscene times. A majority of the time the Developer's will give out compensations for such events, which is nice to see that they care about their players. This game does have holiday rewards for the Fourth of July, Christmas, etc... that usually last for a week, in that time frame they give out free items to the players.
Overall, this game is not the greatest thing to hit the app market, but is certainly worth picking up if you can get past all of the negatives. The game is in itself an enjoyable experience, and I do recommend it to those who like those "Turn-Base RPG's" or just RPG games in general.… Expand
