Has its moments, but the whole story drags, especially in the first half. There’s just not a good enough mystery at the heart of this season to justify eight episodes.

In their best moments, these episodes coast on the charm and precision pluckiness of star Kristen Bell and a decently curated cast of returning and new faces. In its worst moments, the new Veronica Mars struggles to generate tension around a thin and dull season-long arc, and strings along tantalizing and long-necessary character growth for a hypothetical fifth season, eschewing closure for an ending that's ill-considered on several levels.

There are a few new characters that are life preservers in this murky swamp of uninteresting plots.

This show deserved so much a new season, and it is such a powerful and gripping tv series. I love KRISTEN BELL and Veronica, and I WANT MORE!

Everything from the dialogue to the plot felt so contrived. It tried to recapture the glory of the first season but lacked the energy and quirky authenticity. Right from the first episode I struggled to care about any of the characters or the storylines. There were a few chuckles but that was it. I made it to episode 3 before I just gave up and skipped to episode 8 which I fast forwarded as much as I could just to make it to the end. Full Review »
