Dec 20, 2019One of the best fantasy shows for sure. In top 3. Will be watching all 7 seasons.
-
Dec 21, 2019Not perfect but very enjoyable and fun to watch , i would love to see more seasons.

Dec 21, 2019I am a fan of books and I really liked the series. I watched the series until the end and I was interested. The camera work is super and the dialogs are interesting. The monster's graphics are bad but for the first season it's not bad. I'm waiting for season 2
-
Dec 21, 2019I think its a great show with great attention to detail.
For me i love the locations, editing and effects. Henry does an incredible good job with the character.
the best i have ever seen and sticking too the roots of the books and also the video game.
they have done really good in the making, i hope it goes a long way! -

Dec 22, 2019This is one of the best series on Netflix now. I love it, please I want more.
-
-
Dec 20, 2019Show is awesome. Henry Cavill absolutely kills it as Geralt of Rivia. I'm a huge fan of the games and he nails it.
-
Dec 20, 2019This season was dope. I could feel the atmosphere of the witcher in my room while watching the show. Actors are great, lines great and the action scenes were really good. I dont understand why a lot of people are reviewing this amazing show with 0 stars.
-
Dec 20, 2019I already watched 2 episodes, and the only thing i can say is - Netflix's The Witcher is beautiful
-
Dec 23, 2019A bit obtuse and not necessarily the easiest watch for complete newcomers. For those with at least a toe dipped in to the Witcher world however, its fantastically engaging and a great time. Henry Cavill is also an incredible Geralt. I had doubts going in, but he absolutely proved me wrong. He completely owns it.

Dec 20, 2019I was quite sure the show will be mediocre at best, but was blown away by watching the series. The atmosphere is just exactly The Witcher. Fighting scenes are perfect. Story jumps a bit back and forth, thus introducing some chaos into the narrative, some actors don't really fit their roles, but still, my overall impression - very cool. Looking forward to 2nd season.
-
Dec 20, 2019While some parts definitely drag and seem confusing, the Netflix adaptation does justice to the books/ games. I cannot wait for the second season!

Dec 20, 2019This is the best original content Netflix has made to date. Amazing all around, can't wait for season 2!
-
Dec 20, 2019I was waiting for this so long, and finnaly its here, an amazing show! Definitely best series in 2019.
-
-
Dec 20, 2019Love the books, love the games and love the series. Waited 3 years fot the Tv show and I am fully enjoying it. Henry Cavill do a great job as Geralt
-

Dec 20, 2019This season was awesome. Actors are great, story is great and the action scenes were really incredible. I dont understand why a lot of people are reviewing this show with 0 stars.
-
Dec 20, 2019The series is good, but it is far from perfect.
Wonderful scenarios
Interesting and dark plot.
Universe and mythology very complex and interesting.
Comedy is present, but does not bully it.
Spectacular fighting.
Most of the performances are good.
Special effects not very good, but it is understood. -
Dec 20, 2019Completely underrated. I found this show to be everything I was waiting for. This show exceeded my expectations.
-
Dec 20, 2019The show takes it's time to let scenes breath, even with the season only being 8 hours. The casting is fantastic, the acting is glorious and so is the set and costume (apart from the nilf armour). Henry is a great Geralt, and he understands the sides of Geralt. Even the humorous ones.
-
Dec 20, 2019As a person who both read the books and played all the video games, i gotta say this show is amazing and really captures the Geralt i know from the games and also captures the story of the books. I can't wait for season 2
-
Dec 20, 2019Great story, incredible acting and fighting scenes (honestly, choreography is just something else in this one) make this adaptation of Witcher's books one of the best TV shows in 2019.
-
Dec 20, 2019This show has better swordfighting scenes then star wars the last jedi had... It is really amazing honestly, whoever made that choreography needs to be hired on all movies now.
Overall the show was amazingly great considering how everyone was expecting it to suck. -
Dec 20, 2019Great so far. Following very close to the books and Henry is a perfect fit for the role. Really keen to see more seasons.

Dec 20, 2019As a fan of the books I know it can be disappointing to see changes made to the story, especially when those changes are inferior, but personally I am prepared to see the series as using the books as a jumping off point and see if they can do something interesting with it, and so far I am enjoying it. The Witcher has the potential to be a great series.
-

Dec 20, 2019Love sapkowski saga, and i very be liked to watch first season, for me its 10 for now
-
Dec 21, 2019it's quite good. Music, scenography, battle scenes, It would probably help if some of the plot points
were more clearly pointed out, as a lot of them are not given enough time to stay in the mind of a viewer. -
Dec 20, 2019Good work on books adaptation, amazing performance from actors, interesting to watch at all. Series got minor disadvanteges, hovewer more good things. Witcher doesn't deserve all this hate from another "angry internet army warriors, ahrrrr". It just nice, brave enough with violence and universe from Anjey Sapkovsky book series. Hope to see season 2, peace everyone and calm down.
-
Dec 20, 2019Mixed feeling. I love the witcher story but it needs a lot of improvements. Everything is perfect except some actors and dialogues.
-
Dec 22, 2019Great show. Would be a 8/10, but i wanna show my support, so i gave a higher score.
-
Dec 22, 2019Its true to the book series 90% of the time and is a must watch for witcher fans, this can be the best show on netflix in a long time with more seasons.
-
-
Dec 20, 2019i liked it, I can't wait for the second season! this season had content for maybe 3 seasons so i hope they take care in season 2 and don't try to add so much things in just one season... maybe this season was a race like this because they didn't know if it was going to be successful or they wanted to get to the right point in the story, but I still liked it!
-
Dec 20, 2019It's not bad. Of the minor flaws in the nylph armor. Of the major shortcomings, the chronology of events. But in general, the series came out very, very good. Fighting is good, the music, though average, but in the context of video works not bad, the characters are curious to follow. And if there's anybody who's gonna edit the alternate chronology, it'll be great. I'd give you 7 out of 10.
-
Dec 20, 2019I was nice TV show I like it. Looking forward to new season! Triss could be better
-

-
Dec 23, 2019Awesome series that stays very true to the books! Not sure what all the hate is about casting... it doesn't detract from the story what-so-ever. If you're not familiar with the witcher world approach it like game of thrones - power through the first few episodes and you'll get past that initial feeling of being overwhelmed.
-
Dec 22, 2019It's good. Better than expected. Not great. Swordfighting/Choreography is great, the plot is okay. It has a "confused at first, explain it later" narrative style which isn't my favorite. But its very watchable and enjoyable
-
Jan 1, 2020Liked it a lot. It's not perfect but very very good. The acting was great, especially liked Henry's Geralt and Yennefer :)
-
-
Dec 22, 2019This was a good show. The only people giving this a bad score are autistic racists screeching about the color of certain characters and not being "white" enough. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
-
Dec 21, 2019Great start to the show. Looking forward to season 2 when everything starts to come together and be more clear. Laughing at the egregious reviews (EW) which didn't even watch the entire show before scoring it.
-
Dec 20, 2019Good series. Very good. Very more true for the series
Like Geralt and his horse for good horse things. -
Dec 21, 2019As a fan of books, and games I recommend it. You need to know a little bit of background though to really enjoy it.
-
Dec 21, 2019Amazing, a must watch. The show really brigs the entire Witcher world to life!!!
-

Dec 22, 2019I didn't have high expectations after watching trailers, but it's a very good show, a great fantasy world on tv.
-

-
Dec 23, 2019Things can be a little confusing if you haven't played the games, but I was pleasantly surprised after enduring the first episode (which was pretty lame). It does a good job of invoking the feel of the game on a limited budget.
Its no Game of Thrones, but it is a cut above many fantasy book/game translations.
Worth a watch. -

Dec 24, 2019Liked it, despite the odd actor choices for a couple of characters. Overall, it has a promising start and I hope the next season delivers even more. Could become even bigger than GoT, providing Netflix has half a brain to promote this show and cancel some of its other garbage series.
-
Dec 23, 2019I understand it can be confusing at times for audience new to witcher genre. I remember when i was reading books at first you start with stories and then saga begins which is much better. In new season saga should start and it should be better with every episode actionwise. They should change few things but i really enjoyed watching
-
Jan 5, 2020An interesting start that many criticise because they did not pay attention.
The short stories are interesting, the back stories of each character help to establish them in the world and the 3 leads are strong.
I look forward to next season where the group as a whole can develop together rather than in separate stories and timelines -
Dec 28, 2019Enjoyed the cast and performances. Like the stories of each character and different timelines coming together. Hope it gets more than 2 seasons.
-
Dec 28, 2019Intriguing, different and left you wanting more!
Henry is great as gets it. Can recommend. -

Dec 27, 2019Toss a coin to your witcher!!!! O Valley of Plenty! Amazing show one of the best Netflix have produced. I will wait for season 2 !!!!!!
-
Dec 25, 2019absolutely terrific !!! for those who are finding too difficult to follow the different storylines I'd suggest to read a book from time to time (maybe a fantasy one just for a change)
-

-
Dec 28, 2019I'd give this an 8.5, i really liked the story. The only problem is that it starts kind of slow, but as it keeps on going, it gets better. this is a show that demands from the viewer to be invested. Most people who put a bad mark either didn't get past episode 2 or got offended by the casting, i feel like eveything was on point, can't wait for season 2
-

-
Dec 22, 2019A lot of potential. Compelling story line takes time to build. Some choices in "character" design can be questionable. Editing and cinematography can come off as jarring or peculiar. Overall the show is more grounded and real vs cheesy and flat.
-
Dec 23, 2019I really really enjoyed this show. If you love fantasy with a great story and great characters then this show is for you. The timeline gets a little confusing but it all makes sense in the end and you will appreciate it
-
-
Dec 23, 2019I really enjoyed the 8 episode Witcher series, and I look forward to the 2nd season. I had some problems with some parts, but all in all, I enjoyed what this series tried to do.

Dec 24, 2019Other than the sometimes confusing shifts of timeperiods, really satisfied with how this turned out. Cavill proves to be a great witcher with some amazing cast for the other aswell.
Hoping this will get many more seasons!
Fun to see some scenes from the books in live action, just as how you imagined them! -
Dec 28, 2019This is the Witcher, if you liked the books or games, you will love it. Unless you are racist of course, and then it'll annoy you.
-
Dec 28, 2019In my opinion the first episode is mediocre, but stick through it, the second one is better already, and the more the plot advanced, the more I enjoyed it (final-wow). Not a perfect show, but worth watching.
-
Dec 28, 2019I really enjoyed it. Of course, there were some minor flaws but overall it was such a great first season. I would recommend it. The story was captivating and every time an episode ended i wanted to watch the next one as soon as I could. The cast was amazing too. Can't wait for Seasons 2.

Jan 4, 2020It's really great and interesting fantasy show. It's not GOT, it's something else that only looks simillar. Actors are absolutly GREAT.
-
Jan 7, 2020I've read all the books on the Witcher. There are some inconsistencies, but it's still a good film adaptation. The series does not necessarily have to repeat the books and games on the Witcher. The series should be independent and not repeat after others.
-
Dec 20, 2019Magnificent. If you miss GOT and looking for something as good or even better this is definitely worth watching.
-
Dec 20, 2019Massive fan of the game and I thought the show nailed it (the 5 episodes I’ve seen so far)

Dec 20, 2019I honestly don’t know what anyone’s problem is! It’s amazing ! Irritating flies insulting this awesome show!
-
Dec 20, 2019For me the series turned out to be solid 8.5 / 10. + I read all the books and watched all the games and the series + - I’m satisfied

Awards & Rankings
-
The Witcher is a messy tangle of plotlines in a world underdeveloped to the point of obscurity.
-
As a mindless fantasy rollercoaster, Geralt’s journey is five stars all the way to tea-time. Sadly, for those who like brains with their brawn, it may be more of a slog.
-
It takes a while for viewers to learn how these characters are connected, via an exasperating Westworld-esque narrative knot that takes much of the season to unfurl. ... The Witcher heightens our confusion by fumbling details that would have helped it set a cohesive tone. Dialogue vacillates, from line to line, between theatrical fantasy-speak and modern colloquialisms (“Dragons are, in fact, a thing!”).
