Season 6 it's slower than ever, and this is not enjoyable at all. We have 14 episodes and has happened nothing important. Also, I have to say that if a character is "killed", please kill him with dignity and not "resurrect" him because the show loses value. The only thing that improves season after season is Carol. What a character and a performance! Melissa McBride deserved an Emmy nomination (if not the win) for the 4th and 5th season, and she deserves it for the 6th a lot more (her performance in "The Same Boat" was amazing). So, please kill Rick once and for all and give this show some credibility and tension killing unexpectedly main characters. Expand

This show is just awful and I think even every cast member feels the same way.

As a viewer, You could feel the tension and feared each episode that one of the characters could die. A walker back then was something to be afraid of, but at the same time it symbolized the past, where the walker was just a normal person just like Rick, who had perhaps a family, a job etc.
Now it's just a joke, a show for people who get a boner by seeing walkers that are lethal as a turtle and **** make-up, getting killed in every way imaginable.

My point is, just like Frank was intending this show to be, is that the 'dead' we're supposed to be only the icing on the cake. The main focus was on the struggle for survival, the fight against losing all hope in a world where everyone you used to know and cared for, is dead and lethal, including the living.
Unfortunately, it no longer is that way. Thank you AMC, thanks a lot.

Brief flashes of what it could be are not enough to override the adaptation of weak comic books story. Shuffling the comic book moments, so they are displayed out of order, does not a new story make Mr. Kirkman & Co. Frank Darabont was the only one that could actually deliver on the promise of a new story with these characters, and that is made manifest with each successive season.

As of ep 9 this just slipped from watching TWD within a day or two, to PVRing the entire season to watch at once (just like FTWD). That way all the useage of FF & Skip does not seem quite so noticeable.

The show is losing its steam. No more character interactions. Just boring dialogue after boring dialogue. Bring in Negan now, before I completely fall asleep.

At least the comic book is still amazing. There you actually get new characters that are actually interesting. Every new character introduced in the show is terribly awful.

Further disappointment comes from the dialogue becoming increasingly thin and I wonder if the
series should not have been titled "You give us half your stuff". It is hardly awarding winning or involving dialogue, leaving the show to limp on like one of the very walking dead which inhabit the world it depicts

Season 6 started off strong - with the pasting flowing nicely, the characters got things done and everything kept moving which is good, because none of the scenes didn't feel like it was dragging or to me it didn't. I got to admit, I was gripped with the first half of season 6 and I literately thought we got another season 5 on own hands. And I'm not kidding around when I say this, but the start of this season with supporting characters getting brutally killed off and many other unexpected moments that can keep any viewer on edge.

In this season, Ricks group teaches the folks at Alexandria a thing or two about fighting the living dead and how to protect themselves when being attacked, but this has many failed attempts. Those scenes alone are pretty solid and this also gives the characters something to do. But really, how many people have gone through hell and came back? How many have witnessed a loss of their loved ones, had all the odds against them, death had gotten as close to therm as it possibly can, yet they carried on, not because they wanted to but because they had to, they carried on because they discovered a purpose in their lives much larger than themselves. All of that was missing in Season 2, 3 & 4.

Andrew Lincoln, Melissa McBride and Lennie James (in my opinion) were the three stand outs of this season with the performances having some much weight to it. You either like or hate Morgan but you got to admit that Lennie James dose such a great job. Oh and screw you WatchMojo for putting him on Top 10 Worst American Accents By Non Americans.

Everything was going pretty good. The writing was a bit off in a few episodes and some of the characters motivations didn't always make sense or it just plain stupid, but besides that, everything was going rather good.

And then we got the finale which has to be the most insulting and the biggest copout that any TV show could do. It was a big middle finger to the fans and it's very clear now that the creators of the show don't give a f**k about the fans, as they have said that their don't feel sorry at all for the finale. I've seen a lot of TV shows with huge cliffhangers that demands viewers to be patient. I mean, just look at "Lost" that show is literally nothing but cliffhangers and a lot of people had to wait a year to know the answers. Luckily for us, we only have to wait till October, but it's kinda sad that this is what this show is turning into. The impact and the build up was completely ruined by the brain dead f**ktards at AMC. I bet the first episode of season 7 will have the biggest viewing ratings in any TV show ever, because of that cliffhanger. It's a sick businesses.

But the real reason why I'm so upset with the cliffhanger and the stupid finale is that it ruined Negan introduction that everyone (including me) was looking forward to. The character itself was threatening and more evil than The Governor. Jeffery Dean Morgan did an excellent performance as Negan that was unfortunately cut short. And it isn't easy delivering lines like "It's gonna be pee-pee pants city here real soon", and somehow make that threatening but he did the best he could do for what he got.

Remember when we all thought Glenn died in the episode "Thank You" but many people pointed out that he might be alive somehow. I mean, there was no memorial for Glenn on The Talking Dead which that alone gave away that he's still alive. And four episodes later, it's reveled that Glenn is alive and I have to admit that I was really happy that he isn't dead. But now when I look back at it, what was the point with that? I'll tell you what the point was, for view ratings and to get people to watch next weeks episode. Yeah it was shocking and did get me waiting for next week episode, but it's a subplot that goes nowhere and it doesn't do anything to the story.

"Last Day on Earth" is a 90 minute episode with no real pay off from the previous filler episodes. But season 6 overall is a decent season with a lot of pros & cons that can be found in other seasons.

The ending to this mid season finale was very anti-climactic, I thought. It just built up all of these good story ideas and then just left us to wait almost 3 months until we see another episode.

Expand

It's strange after a relentless last season seeing them in such a different environment however this season was jam-packed full of surprises and twists to keep you engaged and following the program. New groups and new characters were placed all over which did give the impersonation that there was too many in the group at this time... however I still felt very connected to the main ones. Expand

So we're basically back to Ninja-Zombies and characters acting mind-boggingly stupid, because the writers seem to be at a total loss for any other ideas on how to raise suspense...
The walkers are always exactly as loud, silent, slow, fast, strong, weak - or teleporting around - as the next cheap plot device demands it. Folks are still, several years into the Zombie Apocalypse (TM), as absurdly genre-blind as needed for the next "shock" scene. There is no logic, continuity, and in those artificial moments the show gets cartoonish, ridiculous and boring. All 3 killers for a horror show...

I was so hyped to see Morgan return only to find out he is borderline a coward. He got people killed because he let those wolves go in season 5. Where the season really starts to pick up for me again is when we see the entrance of the Saviors. The season finale was probably the best part of the entire season in my opinion. Expand

This series was built on emotion! Virtually every character cried, real tears, and it tore your heart out. So, through 7 episodes, virtually no emotion. It's now become just a zombie series, what a disappointment... My low score is earned because it's fallen so far...

Unfortunately the season is marred by alot of "gotcha" moments, false gut punches and a extremely polarizing cliffhanger finale all tied with a slow pacing and weak episodes that don't capitalize on the show at all (at least in my opinion). Negan was toted as the main antagonist throughout the whole season and yet barely has ten minutes on the clock to establish himself. Of which surprisingly was really good and I have to commend Jeffrey Dean Morgan for this transformation considering how important Negan will be in the plot and comics for the large fanbase. Regardless, AMC did a demolition crew's job of trying to be bold with its episodes and characters. Mid Season Finale was extremely disappointing and with the finale being about the same, I was quite sad that the series had drifted below even its fourth season, because at least season 4 had a satisfying finale and an ok mid that was followed up by a better premise of episodes despite having issues of its own. Season 6 is a 6, it's decent and very safe but if not fro some genuinely cool moments, the show would have rightfully gone back to its mediocre state like it did when it started. Expand
