    I keep asking myself while watching this, what are the characters trying to achieve? The show drags on and on, every descent plot has been used up in this. You can skip through half an episode and miss very little to anything. No intelligent dialogue, useless and new characters showing up left and right to be killed off. Where is the food they get, (certainly there can't be that many living humans for all of them to feed off) where does the energy come from that allows them to walk miles on end day and night?     Thats it for me, TWD died in season 3, this show is a piece of cr@p right now recycling itself and the people who is gaving this show a 10 are the real zombies...

    It's so sad to see this series not developing in any interesting way whatsoever. The series itself has never been known for its intelligent dialogue (the first scene of Season 1 is probably the only well-written one from a lyrical perspective), but as of now the human interaction in the show is pretty much reduced the same level as the grunts exchanged by the undead.

    As for emotions, the stress level is too monotonous and too high. Too many things go wrong at the same time for completely chaotic reasons and it just results in a homogenous gray porridge. Violence and chases is not exciting when it's the baseline of the show.

    It's impossible to make an emotional connection to new charecters as they are often just killed off in the next scene. Why should I care about these people? Did the writers set a certain quota for faces that needs to be chewed on?

    The walkers are supposed to be predictable. Yet it is so often that a small group of humans walk into a deserted town, and chill around there for a bit, just to SUDDENLY be surrounded by walkers in every single alley. Where did they come from? Why did they suddenly converge on the town?

    In short, this show makes no sense and as of S6E3, I'm done with it.    … Expand

    Another overrated season. I think I might just wait until the end of the season to watch another episode. It's boring to death. I gave the three points for the way the season premiere was chronologically built. Otherwhise it's in the continuity of the three last seasons where only the mid-season and the season finale are worth to watch.

    only gets praised because of the nice looking cast it has, thats it. Other than that it has horrible acting, no scares, a terrible script, a million clichés, and it adds nothing new to television

    It is not getting any better. The first episode consists mainly of boring black and white flashbacks. And the plot is predictable and uninteresting. It is interesting that "Fear the walking dead" quickly overtook this show in quality by far.

    Season 6 of the walking dead seems to be what may be the beginning of the end of the show we all loved.... Bad writing is ruining all the hard work everyone's put in over the years. Charters are making the most retarded choices ever and are no longer developing and feel flat~ and it honestly makes no sense.... Also the series is becoming stagnant.... Zombies are no longer a threat againSeason 6 of the walking dead seems to be what may be the beginning of the end of the show we all loved.... Bad writing is ruining all the hard work everyone's put in over the years. Charters are making the most retarded choices ever and are no longer developing and feel flat~ and it honestly makes no sense.... Also the series is becoming stagnant.... Its becoming very apparent the show writers only care about the money and milking the show for every penny at this point and not the story, nor the heart of what TWD is.     I for one had never thought much of zombie shows; until someone dared me to watch the first season of this show! I binged on 3 seasons without leaving my house a single time in one weekend. It was awesome!!! It's time to hang up the boots and ride off into the sunset. Fell asleep so many times during this season and didn't bother rewinding or playing the couple of episodes Netflix had gone through while I was passed out, it didn't matter. All that did was server to piss the fans off, and destroy what should have been an emotional episode. Nobody will care in 6 months time. I give up on this show.

    Now that the season has come to a close, I can say with confidence that Season 6 has been by far-and-away the worst season of the show ever. The reasons for that are fairly simple, and mostly relate to the deteriorating quality of the writing. Some of my main complaints for those who care to read:

    1.) A lack of new ideas and plotlines. The show has now rehashed the plotline of finding    Now that the season has come to a close, I can say with confidence that Season 6 has been by far-and-away the worst season of the show ever. The reasons for that are fairly simple, and mostly relate to the deteriorating quality of the writing. Some of my main complaints for those who care to read:

    1.) A lack of new ideas and plotlines. The show has now rehashed the plotline of finding and losing a safezone too many times for its own good. The CDC, Herschel's farm, the Prison, Woodbury, Terminus, and now Alexandria...it's time to try something else.

    2.) A reliance on cheap jump-scare style tropes to create tension. How many times in this show have we seen some survivor ambushed by a slow-moving, noisy and clumsy walker out of nowhere? This is at least three years into the zombie apocalypse...people should not be surprised by "lone-wolf" walkers anymore. And yet just in the finale, stone-cold Carol Pelletier is almost bitten by a walker that manages to sneak up on her.

    3.) Characterization can change on a whim depending on the demands of the plot. The writing for this show, this season especially, has felt forced and far from organic. Characters make foolish and uncharacteristic decisions because the plot demands them to be in a certain place at a certain time in order for a certain pre-ordained event to take place. I'll give you an example. The final three episodes of this season were atrocious because you had quite literally the most hardened survivors all make stupid and out-of-character decisions in order to place themselves in a position of extreme vulnerability for the finale. Carol leaving a safe haven because she "can't kill for them," leaving a note which of course led people to chase after her, and then killing four Saviors immediately after her departure. Also, see Daryl and his banzai attack after Dwight, promptly followed by Glenn, Michonne, and Rosita. These decisions make no sense in any context, let alone the one they're in, and it's all done to make them prisoners of the Saviors in the finale.

    4.) And the most egregious of complaints I have. The show feels like it's being written at this point with more interest by the producers in garnering shocking moments for the audience than in telling a cohesive, interesting story. There are three glaring examples of this throughout the season. The first one was the Glenn fake-out, a subplot so outlandish and manipulative that it's gotten its own nickname: the 'Glenncident.' The entire fiasco contributed absolutely nothing to Glenn's character or the story being told this season. In fact, the first episode back from the mid-season break, we see Glenn charge into a horde of walkers with no way out, only to be saved by Daryl-ex-machine. He learned nothing!

    The second example is at the very end of the penultimate episode of the season, when Dwight surprises Daryl for what seems like the fifth time and shoots him in the back. Cut to credits. Is Daryl dead? Would they really do that at the end of an episode? No, of course they wouldn't. The next time we see Daryl, he is bloodied but not injured to any discernible degree. His being shot contributed nothing to the character or the story, it was just meant to shock us and lead to fan speculation.

    And finally, we come to the finale. An overlong, commercialized mess that ends in what might be the most unfulfilling season finale in TV history. Meeting Negan was cool for sure, but it was only half of what the show had been telegraphing for the entire back side of the season. Withholding the identity of Negan's victim again (sound like a broken record here, I know) has no bearing on the story. It is a move simply meant to leave viewers hanging to ensure they come back for next season. I seriously hope it backfires, because you can't tease a major series-changing event for 7 episodes and then fail to deliver on that. Fail isn't even the right word, because the event was there, it was just gutted of all meaning by leaving the viewer guessing.

    A truly astounding "artistic" choice that only reinforces what many viewers are seeing more plainly than ever. The story and the characters don't matter anymore. All that matters is that the audience has their requisite OMG moments every season. I for one am checking out.    … Expand

This season was unforgivably boring, and just plain stupid. First of all, it feels like 30 minutes of each show is filled with some of the stupidest, most pointless dialogue. Why do we need to hear all of these insignificant, and super boring conversations from new characters that won't even make it to the next episode? I spent the majority of the show rolling my eyes at how corny all of the talks were. The worst part is that after all of that talking, nothing exciting ever happens by the end of the show. That 90 minute episode about Morgan was the series' low. What a waist of time. When I heard that they were gonna do a 90 minute episode, I was thinking "Ok, maybe they will show what happened to Glenn, or redeem themselves somehow". WRONG! The whole episode was about Morgan and how he came to peace with himself. Who the #### cares how Morgan found his peace? And then the other guy buries zombies? Um, what? That's the stupidest, most infuriating #### the show has ever done. It's no surprise that the guy dies from getting bit by a zombie when he throws himself in front of Morgan to save him. Why couldn't he just push Morgan out of the way and kill the zombie? It's just stupid. The longest 90 minutes of my life. And, of course, that's why Morgan does't want to kill anyone anymore. Are you kidding me? He just lets some of the wolves go after they just raided the town and slaughtered countless residents. It's like watching a horror movie where the characters do the exact opposite thing that you would do in real life. It's freaking frustrating. I didn't get a shred of satisfaction from this show, this season. In general, this season just sucked. Out of the entire season, nothing really happened. And all of the new, useless characters took time away from the characters that we know and like. And that's it, the show is just dumb now. I do plan on watching future episodes, but only to watch it crash and burn. However, if Morgan gets killed off, I may become a fan again. Then again, prob not.… Expand

    how far the walking dead has fallen from a great show to a complete bore. I cant believe that ive been watching TWD season 6 as it does not come close to the entertainment the first 4 gave us. season 6 is just bland and i guess they are losing the plot

    I hate when series/movies/games or what ever make a MC hit 10 HS running but when the bad guys are shooting at a MC they miss right in front of them, basically when the people creating the stuff "deus ex machina" everything losing consistency and this show does it over and over again.

One example is giving Morgan's character a 90 minute episode that only contributes a backstory to his current state of mind without advancing the plot. Despite the good acting, this is a waste of air time and just tries to obscure the scam of pretending Glenn has died. And then there are all the attempts to be arty like the flashbacks (like a 70s film, says Gimple) of Jessie before Rick severs their connection. Give me a break! AMC please get rid of him!… Expand

Season 3 was pretty decent also but for the rest the walking dead consists of walking and more walking and the occasional hiding place that guess what? gets overrun by zombies at the end of the season.     Season 1 was great and I enjoyed the telltale series which has more story in it than all seasons of the tv show combined and you actually cared for the characters. But every-time someone dies in this tv show I do a victory dance since they have no build up whatsoever, and annoy the **** out of me.
    Let's not forget that AMC ruined it by removing the creator who made season 1 a masterpiece and actually put his heart and soul in it.    … Expand

    Season six was a mediocre string of silly events and was ruined by using a cliff-hanger for the moment fans have waited all season for, just to try and drag it out and make people want to come back, well I won't be coming back unless gimple gets gone, the show is a train wreck these days and I don't have time for it anymore after this finale.

    Totally failed, it's not a thriller, that just a ridiculous try to make an atmospheric season like 1-2, hope it will be fired before next year, don't waste your time on that

    I did not like, I think that The start was good but after episode 4 beyond it did get worst and it was not good, and that final I did not like it too, let's see if this year it gets better.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The season 6 mid-season premiere was a travesty. They're resorting to lame tricks like they used to use on children with serial movies. In this case the cliff hanger for episode 8 was the little boy saying 'Mom... Mom" with increased volume as they were making their way through a zombie horde. At the start of episode 9 NO reference or resolution to that, just as if it never happened. Classic serial BS.
    There were a ton of other unbelievable and lazy plot holes as well. The most egregious was when Maggie was on the platform and the writers had to put her into damsel in distress mode. The zombies were threatening to tear down the platform, yet there was a smaller platform attached to the fence she easily could have gone to. The series used to be amazing, with great acting and writing. While it still retains some great acting, the writing is complete garbage.    … Expand

    bad performances, boring story and trash. direction and poor production. tiring and sleepy. I never come back to watch trash. this series is proof that success, not meant anything.

    An extremely disappointing season finale, in 16 episodes, not much happened. Feels like there is no point on the trama, and having governor 2 as the series villain feels like there is lack of imagination to continue. Find a vaccine or something and end this before it keeps getting more and more ridiculous.
