If this was called "Bo Katan show" and didn't have the Mando and Grogu in it, it prob would of been a decent show. But alas this is suppose to be Season 3 of the Mandalorian but IDK wtf happened between Season 2 and 3 for my boy Dinn to be a glorified damsel in distress throughout most this season.

I lost all hope when Lizzo and Bowser made an appearance and Grogu became a glorified teddy bear. The finale I was hoping would take some risks (Armorer as the spy) but typical Disney played it safe. The writing/story/chars took a total nose dive in this season and IMO this is basically a voice over paycheck for Pedro Pascal as he is not the star of his own show anymore.

I really love Star wars but Mando series was good but never my jam but season 3 is perfect to me even though there little over filling episode. I am star wars animated series fan i thought it brought that series style into light instead being differentiate it from animation series.

The first 2 season are much better in almost every aspect (singe episodes plot, fights, dialogues, characters, and so on)

There are fewer side quests. A very large-scale main plot appeared, and not something local, to which the first couple episodes and the last one are dedicated, and side quests between them. The Mandalorians are no longer just a background and I'm really interested in following them as a people, their story. Yeah, this season should be called "Mandalorians", but I have no problem with it, I like this directrion.

I really don't get the hate about spicifically 3rd season. People complain about couple side quests? - Lol, do you remember seasons 1-2? There are MUCH more side quests there!
Are you not interested in mandolorian folks? -WHY are you watching TV show called "The Mandalorian" and doing this for 3 seasons?

I think "The Mandalorian", in general, has always been good and simple tv series, without claiming to be something grand or great or grandiose. Though being by far the best Star Wars product by Disney.

Seeing Mandos flying about and starships cruising skies seems rather gratifying and shows the level of detail this show gets. One can only hope there’s big plot staging for Season 4 to impact the Star Wars universe. With where we leave this story at the end of season 3, I would think there’s a lot to spin off of these sets of events that could play big parts in main cannon movies. TBD. Expand

The plot felt a little all-over-the-place and mcguffiny, but the re-taking of Mandalore fit broader lore. It was cheapened somewhat by almost all of the Mandalorians surviving. Similarly, I enjoyed the continuation of the Bo-Katan plot and Katee Sackhoff's (the real star of the show) acting, but I'm not sure that Bo-Katan's plot has meaning to people who didn't watch Clone Wars and Rebels. Likewise, audience members seemed confused by plot points about Grogu and Din Djarin elaborated in the Book of Boba. Disney needs to stop expecting the audience to Expand

This season takes a while to kick into gear, but once it gets going, it's an entertaining ride.
More plot driven than the previous 2 seasons, this show shows no signs of fading and still remains one of Star Wars best productions in recent years.

The series singlehandedly undid all it set up in the last two seasons in what can only be described as the unfortunate by product of Kathleen Kennedy's alleged interference with the Book of Boba while Favreau was busy focusing on the upcoming Ahsoka series forcing the story to be changed last minute.

The significance of the second season's ending which broke the internet was undone because now... Grogu is just back... Because.
It completely trivializes the big reveal of Luke Skywalker and Din having to let go of Grogu for Grogu to develop in the force as a Jedi while Luke rebuilds the order. This was important because Din was taking Grogu to his people. The Jedi were his people and he knew as a bounty hunter he would not be able to give Grogu what was best for him. But Disney needs to sell merch so it only took two episodes of the, also disgraceful, Book of Boba Fett and his Power Ranger Scooters Gang to undo this.
What could have been a good parallel story of Din and Grogu growing in their respective fields, only to be reunited with the end point the show was clearly building up with Ahsoka's line of, "Where is grand Admiral Thrawn" has now been reduced to Mando doing filler disconnected tasks promising a payoff with baby Yoda doing something in the background. It was clear the story had to be changed to allow for Grogu's return.

Secondly, every main and main side character is a complete contradiction of their established selves. Mando went from space Clint Eastwood to a Damsel in Distress who can't protect himself without "the" Bo Katan coming to rescue him and handling every situation at far greater ease than our protagonist. The whole "fight for the darksaber" set up goes no where as Din just freely gives it up by the end to Bo katan. The same Bo Katan who already refused it because that is not the Mando way.

The Mandalorian is getting sidelined in his own show as Boba Fett was sidelined in his! His character arc is essentially abruptly cut to an end by the end of the season and is extremely unsatisfying for a show which has already proven how good it can be.

The show was clearly setting up a potential "from loner to leader" plot with Din not wanting to have the saber but being dictated by Mandalorian culture as now being its owner ushering him into a leadership role. We see Din get challenged in Book of Boba Fett for it by another Mandalorian and despite commenting on the saber's difficulty to handle, he still wins and we see him attempting to learn how to use it. The only problem is that in his main show, he is still just as incompetent after all that time and is only further overshadowed by his supporting cast.

Cara Dune is now just an off screen reference in a throw away line so that entire Rangers of the Republic set up by offering her a position is also now gone. Thanks Twitter.

This show has essentially gone as follows:
    Season 1: The Mandalorian
Season 2: The Mandalorian and friends: Setting up what is to come
Season 3: Bo Katan and friends: fillers and a hint of the Mandalorian.

More than half this show's run time adds nothing to the story and could be cut and would actually improve the quality. Instead of building Mando's character and actually see him be cool, we get an episode dedicated to the scientist from the first season and an episode which has Lizzo and Jack Black as characters in an episode which seems more like a knockoff of a fan-fiction fan-film of the Mandalorian.
Filler episodes in an already limited series which is attempting to tell a story rarely works because the shorter the show, the more valuable each second becomes and this show is a limited series treating itself like it has all the time in the world.
Oh did I mention they now have "Arrrr me mateys" pirates. We went from the likable Hondo Onaka in the Clone Wars and Rebels to this...

    This is not the way.

Everything about this season seems like a parody of the show and seems to symbolize one big middle finger from Jon Favreau to Disney and Kathleen Kennedy for allegedly messing with Book of Boba Fett.

I sincerely hope that the Ahsoka series will be good as the sole beneficiary of Favreau's current attention as if that show fails then I have a bad outlook on the brand until we get some major leadership changes.

2/10 purely for the visuals though I would say that is still more than it deserves.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After finally finishing The Mandalorian Season 3, I can confirm it's just as bad as people make it out to be and that is something I take no pleasure in saying considering I loved the first 2 seasons and hoped I could get the bad taste The Book of Boba Fett left in my mouth (I don't think you can see my review do to Metacritic being glitchy AGAIN but long story short, I gave that show a 5). Normally when I review anything, a game, movie, or TV show, I normally go over the positives first and then go over the negatives but I feel like doing that here will cause you to misunderstand my opinion so I'll go over the negatives first. The first negative I can say about this show is that despite how the end of The Book of Boba Fett was going to be about Din redeeming himself after he removed his helmet in public but then that ended up happening in just 2 episodes causing the whole arc to be redundant kind've like how Din reunited with Grogu in the middle of TBOB. Another arc wasted was how Bo wanted to rule Mandalore once again but needed the Darksaber to do that so it was hinting on some conflict between and Din but then it was just given at the end of Episode 6 without a fight causing another arc to get totally wasted in the end. There's this plot hole in the show where Moff escaped and was still alive, and the show was hinting that a Mandalorian did it but then it was literally never mentioned again and considering he's the main villain in this show, this is a WAY BIGGER plot hole than you may think. The other villain: the pirates, are MUCH WORSE when you remember the captain literally tried to bomb the citizens instead of running away to live another day pretty much ending any sort of hope I was going to take the villains seriously if Disney wasn't going to either. The first 5 episodes are totally worthless since they don't mean anything to the story and Episode 6 is easily the worst episode in the ENTIRETY of The Mandalorian since it NOTHING in that episode meant anything for the story leaving me confused on what show I was watching. Overall, despite good performances and great set-pieces, I pretty much regret watching this Season at all and the sad bit is that I know this wasn't the writer's fault, it was Disney's since they green-lit all of this and just used kept Grogu here just for the sake of continuing to milk the franchise as much as they could and unless Season 4 is an improvement, I cannot under any circumstances recommend The Mandalorian Season 3. With all the BTS stuff that happened inbetween season 2 and 3, Hopefully by the time season 4 comes around that won't be the issue

This is what is causing most of their newer releases to flop, they want to destroy classic stories, impose their exaggerated over the top LGBTQ and WOKE and inclusive agendas and by doing so are purposely infuriating people and inciting racial hatred and violence. Disney corp. has to be taught a severe and drastic lesson, any way possible with any scandals and dirt on them exposed by whistleblowers, and then blacklist and bankrupt them. The season lives up to every expectation you could have had after the sequels, Book Of Boba and Kenobi. The script quality is so incredibly poor. It's a wonder Season 1 and 2 were good. Now we are waiting for Ashoka, Skeleton Crew and Andor Season 2. I am very curious to see how they screw up this time.

Updating this after S3 E4, this is very poorly written, the episodes before including this are not leading to anything conceivable, while yes it is entertaining to watch, but it is not entirely enjoyable so now I'm going to rate this Season Pretty hard because we are halfway through the season.

It started as good aftermath but now it's just dragging to nowhere, I hope that every episode from now is 45 minutes - 1 hour and that the writing is logical, not firing projectiles into the water logic.

Season 3, Episode 5: finally an all-around good episode.

Episode 6, Uuh what?, What is going on?

Episode 7, Wow this is cool, a little rushed in some places in cinematography.

    Episode 8, Huh, not bad.

I was going to give this an overall 6, but I think that Season 3 is a 7, It is a step down from the previous seasons however most episodes are quality and Entertaining. It also Sets up a lot of different directions The Mandalorian can go into in an already pre-established universe.

So overall it's good, not amazing, not Perfect, just enjoyably good that's all.

Fans have griped that “The Mandalorian” and lightweight series like the ones that Favreau and Filoni have made thus far are robbing “Star Wars” of what made it special and often, especially with a disposable throwaway, more-of-the-same episode like this, it’s really hard to argue with.
