You can never really expect anything Kevin James does to be very revolutionary. Kevin Can Wait is a typical sitcom that is made to resemble James' last show King of Queens. James is married to a far more attractive woman and his character very much resembles his character from King of Queens.

I found the first few episodes of this show to be fairly funny but then everything went to hell in the episodes that followed. The humor dried up early and the series got old quick. All don't mind the classic sitcom format as long as the show is funny and Kevin Can Wait just isn't. I'd be shocked to see this show last more than a year or two.

Not the same vibe as King of Queens. It started off slow, but I still believe, Kevin has alot to offer us, with his genius, comedic style. He sure did not disappoint, in his sequel, PB, and still keeps me laughing online, at 4pm, and Sat. nights. I know he can deliver, with a bit of nurturing, from his loyal fan base. I am willing to give up a portion of DWTS, to support him. All I amNot the same vibe as King of Queens. This show basically is the King of Queens minus Jerry Stiller which doesn't leave much. I'm sure CBS is counting on this show to pull big ratings so don't expect the plug to be pulled any time soon.

I thought the 2nd season was a bit better than the 1st. In the 1st season, I couldn't even make it past episode 3. It was just unwatchable on so many levels. The wife looked younger than the her kids! So unbalanced!! Kevin James is still trying hard to use clean humor so as to not upset is Roman Catholic beliefs. Moving on to season 2, I find the chemistry between Kevin and Leah a bit easier to watch, although Leah looks like a blow-up **** doll after her plastic surgery, fillers, and nips and tucks. She can't even speak properly anymore! Sorry Leah. The makeup looks like it is plastered on with a butter knife, and as for Kevin?? He's wearing just as much makeup and fillers as Leah is!! Expand

For all its straightforward sincerity, James can’t provide anything new with his new show.

Kevin Can Wait is the most ordinary of dumb-dad sitcoms. James, though, is so winning I wouldn't blame anyone for wanting to hang with him.

It feels less like a show of its own than a collection of hoary TV tropes--Schlumpy Guy With a Hot Wife, Wimpy Son-in-Law, Hypochondriac Kid--strung together in service of the pun in the title.
