Explaining how the bed can be used to divide the room, he constructs a center island bedroom with a plywood platform and shelving unit, a core door headboard/wall, and a luan and pine footboard. Christopher also shows how to make a circular opening in the headboard and a hidden magazine rack. Decorative artist Joe Fenzel demonstrates how to achieve a faux finish linen look for walls with texture paste, sand, glaze and a rag. Touring the finished room, Christopher defines the separate areas he created (living room, work station, vanity, kitchen, and bedroom) and he describes the functional furnishings he chose. He also discusses how monochromatic colors and a variety of decorative additions help make the space flow.
