Summary: Week 16 and the 1986 NFL regular season has finally reached it's end. Despite getting manhandled by the Bengals 52-21, the New York Jets are in the postseason as a wild-card team, and will host the Kansas City Chiefs after they defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-19. The Patriots finished their AFC East title run by defeating the DolphinsWeek 16 and the 1986 NFL regular season has finally reached it's end. Despite getting manhandled by the Bengals 52-21, the New York Jets are in the postseason as a wild-card team, and will host the Kansas City Chiefs after they defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-19. The Patriots finished their AFC East title run by defeating the Dolphins on the road 34-27, while the Browns were crowned Champions of the AFC Central having putting 47 points on the Chargers in a 47-17 victory, and the Denver Broncos are champions of the AFC West, despite losing to Seattle 41-16 on the road. Seattle and Cincinnati just came up short of the postseason and will be left out despite having 10-6 records. In the NFC, the Bears and Giants both finish the season at 14-2 and will both have first round byes in the postseason after winning their divisions. The San Francisco 49ers once again are champions of the NFC West and will play in the divisional round two weeks from today. The NFC Wild-Card teams are the Washington Redskins and the Los Angeles Rams. Washington will host L.A. this upcoming weekend.
