However, Mrs. Wilson is hoping that he remembered their anniversary and is expecting a big surprise. After they leave, workers arrive to install a pool in the Wilsons' backyard. Dennis causes them to bungle the job, but it's still installed, albeit awkwardly and a surprised Martha kisses her husband as Dennis greets them home, already in the pool, promising to come over every day for a swim.

Fool for Gold: While the Mitchells drive across the desert, the trailer with Dennis and Joey inside gets unhitched, causing them to wind up in an old ghost town, where an old prospector resides in hope of stealing the gold in their possession. However, they're unaware the boys only bought fool's gold. When the Mitchells get a flat tire, Henry goes back in search of the boys on foot until a group take him into the ghost town to reunite with Dennis and Joey, who've gotten the better of the prospector. They family returns home with the boys bringing along a surprise as they've taken along a mule in hope they can prospect for gold in the near future.

Nothin' to Be Afraid Of: Joey is scared to go on the carnival's haunted mansion ride with Gina and Margaret. But Dennis shows him how it's operated by taking him inside the computer room. They then play around with the controls, making the ride too realistic for the girls as they scream throughout it, believing the boys were behind them in the next car. However, they boast they weren't scared at all. Margaret tries to compose herself, but Ruff's barking spooks her even more as she jumps onto one of the stuffed monsters, making the others laugh.
