From previous shows highly recommended which includes House M.D; ER and Grey's Anatomy' s standards, this is at the bottom. I'm not sure why but the show enatails an aura of fakeness to it.

I'm afraid that with the exception of "Chicago PD," Dick Wolf's Chicago franchise is a sorry shadow of the Manhattan originals. Chicago Fire is puerile, and the latest offering, Chicago Med is formulaic in the extreme. Thank God for stalwarts S. Imagine an ER filled with narcissists, but wait, I'm not just talking about nurses and docs here, but patients as well! I'm sorry, was there a WGA writers strike occurring when the "script" for the first episode was written? Every hackneyed ER plot point from better shows was resurrected here. Even David Koch would not buy the naming right to this new ER center... and that's saying something. Expand

It is always beneficial to have a show not concentrate on just one character, which Chicago Med does not. By having a variety of different actors, the plot lines can vary from week to week.

I feel that Chicago Med is a far better program than the one featuring Chicago Police.

This is not a medical drama, it's a doctors drama. And by "doctors" I mean, hot guys in scrubs.

All those bad reviews, it's because they haven't understood the true identity of this show.

Chicago PD is one of my favorite shows on TV period, but I like this as well, not nearly as much as PD though. I felt it had good stories and exciting action and I really enjoy the characters on the show. I also love Oliver Platt, I think he makes the show definitely worth watching. I think it will only get better.

This has got to be one of the most listless and lifeless medical dramas I've seen in a long time. The characters are cardboard and need to be fleshed out further. The main actor's in the series are not to blame, they do the best they can with the tired and boring formula... And, that's the real problem with this series. It's boring! One last thing I noticed, and maybe this adds to the boredom factor, but the hospital sets and doctor's offices, etc. are downright claustrophobic. The show looks cheap. Code Black it's nearest rival is miles ahead of this one. Sorry, Dick Wolf. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expected way more than what I've seen. From the fake telephone calls right in the first minutes of the show, where the lady is having a phone call with the iPhone's home screen icons plainly visible to some other inconsistencies and bad acting.

As a medical professional, I probably am a tougher audience to please - but I do expect medical shows in 2016/17 to be as realistic as possible and when possible, such as Grey's Anatomy and ER, where the actual procedures and patient related things were realistic and done as in real life.

The trauma guy from the first show is right there in the back of the ambulance, elbow high in patients blood, riding on a gurney while doing CPR, and yelling the vital signs to the hospital manager I guess (as she should do something with that), and all that in his plain clothes while other physicians on call watch him.

Grey's anatomy, this is more romantic than medical. ER was good but old - fashioned now. Night shift, the doctors are suffered by PTSD and i didn't know who is patient(probably doctors need help first !!) Code Black was quite good enough to enjoy, especially relationship between members of the hospital, and patients. Chicago MED, this has quite dry mood. Whenever I watch a medical TV show, I expect some kind of humanity between characters but I don't see anything in this show. But this kind of a sense of distance - I feel that I'm being a watcher of characters when I watch Chicago Med, like I watch some kind of documentary program- is paradoxically interesting and I've seen every episode from season 1 to now, season 3, Expand

This show is awful Marxist propaganda dribble. My lord they vote to turn the hospital into a for-profit business and they act like its some major crisis. I wish our entire healthcare system was for-profit instead of a welfare state crony socialist system, I'd be able to afford it if it was. Why do people watch this awful show.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Chicago Med marks yet another routine entry and doggedly follows the same beats as its forbears, most notably the Chicago-set ER.

Padded with kids including an unborn child in medical danger, its corridors filled to capacity with the most attractive doctors this side of an afternoon soap opera, Chicago Med is not a subtle enterprise.

None of these [Dick Wolf Chicago] shows are groundbreaking. All have dialogue is lumpy. But for viewers who crave the familiar, there is something comforting about attractive people saving the day.
