This season of Archer personifies the phenomenon when actors still have time left on a contract they no longer want. Everyone seems to have phoned it in for this season. Lets face it, when voiced actors get on-screen gigs they eventually spit in the face of that which sustained them and help get them those roles. There are SO many unexplored avenues related to the characters and I can tell Archer is going to end without. Archer and Lana as a married couple living in a house together? Thousands of opportunities for humor there. Krieger embarking on a journey to find the truth about his roots and history, with the gang along to "assist" (Pam and Cheryl as stow-a-ways of course)? Easy one there to crush it with. I mean, these are the same people who did an entire episode with the cast stuck in the elevator and it was hysterical. Have em get stuck on a deserted island, trapped in a bank vault... We dont need setting, we need their interpersonal dynamics.

    My only hope is that the constant references by Archer in this season to being "immortal" is Freddy Foreshadowing an awesome season 10 that involves Archer waking up and seeking out Veronica Deane for vengeance with the group in tow and finally getting to hit the house of John Huston with a coconut. And for F--- Sakes, if season 10 is the last, make it an extended one. 160 minutes cant make a season of a show. or just stop calling them seasons and call them movies and make them better.

    or make Archer rights open-sourced so the fans can take over if youre sick of it. There is no show that has ever been like this one.    … Full Review »
