May 25, 2017This season was good. I really liked the noir theme and as always crazy stuff that happens from one episode to another. You shouldn't expect drastic changes, just time period and some background for characters is other. I enjoyed the change, music and tone of this season.

Apr 10, 2017After 8 seasons you get a feel for what this show is. And this season has the same type of humour but with a new aesthetic and theme. It's a cool idea and worth watching but the humour won't surprise you in any way.

Aug 25, 2019The first of the ‘coma’ seasons and it saw the show abandon its usual style for a slightly more serious long story telling format. It was still entertaining but the laughs just didn’t flow as freely and compared to what has come before it was a slight disappointment.

Sep 2, 2018Archer Dreamland is a grower for sure. It took me a couple of watches to really enjoy and appreciate the season. Overall it is a statement of trying to experiment with the formula that mostly works, but overall has underwhelming humour.

Jan 11, 2022After the cliffhanger from Season 7, Dreamland is an inventive continuation/reboot of the show.

There’s still plenty of humor, always bending toward the absurd, and Archer’s time travel has not stripped him of his signature phrases, attitude or fondness for bourbon and wordplay.
-
The series has always moved between clever parody and outright silliness, but this year Archer seems to be paying more attention to the plot along with the jokes.
-
Once it settles in and allows itself to get weird after the premiere gets the setup out of the way, Archer: Dreamland becomes the hilarious ride it should’ve been from the start.
