This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm a fan of Archer, but really hated season 8. It was entirely lacking of humor. I found myself just trying to push through it to see how he would wake up from the coma, which I assumed would happen at the end of the season. Instead it ended without any reference to what's going on outside of Dreamland, and three days later I can't even remember what happened. Expand

I love the show but this season really missed the mark for me it still had its typical humour but it felt very repetetive like seeing everything we have already seen but just.... in another setting this time in archers coma we have seen barry lose his limbs and become a cyborg so this felt like a reboot of itself in a way but without reason but the ending was what really made me stop andI love the show but this season really missed the mark for me it still had its typical humour but it felt very repetetive like seeing everything we have already seen but just.... in another setting this time in archers coma we have seen barry lose his limbs and become a cyborg so this felt like a reboot of itself in a way but without reason but the ending was what really made me stop and wonder if i'm enjoying the show the way I used to I mean I didn't hate Archer Vice but it did still feel like "we have ran out of ideas we need to change the backdrop to the show" and this feels like the same again but even lazier, for the record I will still keep watching the show next season but I don't think i'll be revisiting Season 8 anytime soon. First I must confess that I am an Archer-junkie. I've watched seasons 1-6 countless times (and season 7 couple times) during last few years and it's been glorious.

Now enter the season 8 - and it's just not all in there anymore. I guess the whole Dreamland theme gives writers different angle to show characters and new setting, but it seems to fall flat. All that is happening in

I'm still refusing to let go though! Hoping for Archer's miraculous recovery.

Its a funny idea. Run out of Ides and do an alternate reality skit.
None of them fit or compliment each other and the gags are meh.
I find my self powering thru an episode hoping he wakes up put of the coma putting me out of this crap.
I love this show but this is not a funny joke.

Viciously boring,a husk of it's former self. The characters seem to have the same personality with a twist that just doesn't fit. After the first two episodes, I find myself wanting to try and give it another look. Personally would rather watch the old episodes.

There’s still plenty of humor, always bending toward the absurd, and Archer’s time travel has not stripped him of his signature phrases, attitude or fondness for bourbon and wordplay.

The series has always moved between clever parody and outright silliness, but this year Archer seems to be paying more attention to the plot along with the jokes.

Once it settles in and allows itself to get weird after the premiere gets the setup out of the way, Archer: Dreamland becomes the hilarious ride it should’ve been from the start.
