    Pretty apparent that the writers have lost the core site of the other seven seasons of archer. The characters seem to have the same personality with a twist that just doesn't fit. After the first two episodes, I find myself wanting to try and give it another look. Personally would rather watch the old episodes.

    This season is a miss as of episode 3. Characters don't fit right. There seems to be a lack of connecting on humor that feels like lecturing more than humor. Tuned out at points for being bland and lacking creativity.

    I am a huge Archer fan and have watched each of the previous seasons and have found the show to be hilarious and with clever writing. This season, however, sucked. I'm not sure what happened but I was uninterested in the weird detective noir theme and felt that this season fell flat compared to the other seasons.     The first bad season of Archer. The humour just doesn't fit the setting. There's nothing new or different, It's just stale and boring. And having just 8 episodes is a real disservice to fans.

    There’s still plenty of humor, always bending toward the absurd, and Archer’s time travel has not stripped him of his signature phrases, attitude or fondness for bourbon and wordplay.

    Once it settles in and allows itself to get weird after the premiere gets the setup out of the way, Archer: Dreamland becomes the hilarious ride it should’ve been from the start.
