It's just unfortunate that technical problems and repetitive audio samples cause annoyance throughout.

What there is, generally, is okay - fun, visceral combat, easy controls, reasonable graphics. It just needs more moves, more weapons, more variety... just more in general.

As much as we're sometimes awestruck by Genji's eye candy, we're more frequently struck dumb by how unwieldy the camera is. Isn't this the next generation? Wasn't the irritation of being attacked from off-screen and being unable to control your perspective distinctly last-gen?

Is it playable and engaging? Yes, up to a point. But as a pure game it trips over its own feet more than once...For hardcore movie-lovers only.

While Counter-Strike is still a popular and recommendable online shooter, this retail package offers poor value and is a huge disappointment.

Micromanagement bogs things down just when your village is becoming interesting and productive. That a game has barriers or limits isn't a bad thing; that the barrier appears at the same point as the game becomes appealing is unfortunate.

The inclusion of the gore and the adult content, will no doubt sell the game, but to be honest it does not add anything to the game. Harvester is not terrible, far from it, but it does not offer anything substantial enough for it to be considered as one of the better games from the genre.

So-so graphics and pretty dull gameplay, but it does have a fairly decent physics model that makes it fun to play...at least for a short time.

It's not nearly as fun to play as it is to watch in cutscene form. The game tries to emulate the vibe and humor of Psychonauts, but doesn't come close to that title's wit or personality.

The RC-racing theme has been done better by other games, the trick levels feel bolted on rather than being integral to gameplay, and they're also very limited.

It's a great title for hardcore UFC fans who are looking for authenticity and stripped bare chuddies minimalism, but for gamers who have been spoiled by a sea of options, moves, and thrills this is far too... skinny.

A short-lived single-player mode combined with repetitive multiplayer gameplay make this game a title destined for the bargain bin, rather than greatness.

Gameplay here packs about as much depth as a thimble, with an offensive mode that rewards you for playing a limited style of game that features nothing but long passes.

Superior graphics...but its poor interface, repetitious campaign modes and unchallenging AI has relegated it to just another also-ran.

A few fighting scenes and some great cinema sequences don't do much to jazz up this tired shooter.

Street Supremacy may be pretty cool for its strategic twist, but when actually getting behind the wheel is so ponderous and unengaging, then for all you care, those other gangs can just have Tokyo.

Only the Sabotage online mode, where teams attempt to interrogate rivals for parts of a six-number code, stands out as unique. One mode won't win the war, much less our gaming money for the month.

The hell of the game is that the environmental puzzle setups look pretty good -- climb the wall, lash onto the nearest outcropping, swing to clamber chainlink fences, etc. It's just a shame the game actively fights your ability to navigate them.

Gameplay in The Elly Kedward Tale feels even more linear than either of the first two volumes (is that even remotely possible?).

Quite simply, Ys isn't good enough to make it worth the pain in the butt of the constant loading. It's designed to play fast and easy, but on the PSP, it's a staccato exercise in waiting before you're allowed to do a few very simple things.

Talking of light, there are several periods playing as Rick that you'll be inching forward down rocky tunnels with virtually no illumination to help you and the 3D map that you can cut to when you're feeling lost is worse than useless.

While the developers have done a good job of crafting a simplistic strategy game, it lacks the depth that most players require today.
