Flame in the Flood is a sweet addition to the roguelike genre. It looks great and offers a good challenge. The menu however is a little annoying at times and if you die it can feel like you got cheated. Still this game is worth every penny.

With Resident Evil 7, the series goes back to its roots. Tight corridors, a sublime audiovisual presentation and sinister enemies make the game a true survival-horror experience. It has some minor flaws, but overall the game truly delivers.

Dragon Quest VIII Journey of the Cursed King is a special gem that has been made ready for the 3DS. The game offers an epic adventure and an even more epic soundtrack. The only downside to the game is the loading time in between fights.

Super Mario Run is great in its own right, but the high price and lack of offline play options are not to be overlooked. The game is mainly recommended for Mario fans and casual gamers, but don't expect to play it for days on end.

Mother Russia Bleeds is a great game. It is brutal and takes you back to the days where beat 'em ups ruled the market. Still the game lacks a combo system and there are some annoyances. But in the co-op mode it makes up for all of that.

Stereo Aereo is a fun rhythm-based game, at least most of the time. The visual presentation is appealing, but often hinders you in keeping the focus on your own ship due to all the effects in place. Also the amount of content in the game is rather slim.

Moto Racer 4 is the return of a franchise. The game starts out nicely, but quickly loses its charm. The same tracks keep returning and the career mode is no career mode. And with the illogical elements in the game it's no more than a mediocre racer.

Realm of the Wood Elves is a mediocre to good expansion for Total War Warhammer. New intriguing races and a different playstyle offers some more fun with the game. Although not every feature works that well.

This is the final episode of Telltale's Batman. And it's awesome. You finally understand a lot of things.

Sky Force Anniversary blends a classic formula with modern-day visuals and social interactions. It's a wonderfuly simplistic game with solid gameplay and while it does get repetitive and frustrating at times, you keep coming back to play some more.

Killing Floor 2 is a fun co-op game and allows you to kill hundreds of Zed with others. Whilst it's fun to play with friends, it becomes boring rather quickly if you play alone. The game also lacks a campaign, which would have been a great addition.

The Crew Calling All Units is something you should not acknowledge. After paying a lot of money to get access to the content of the expansion, you are asked in-game to pay again, to really get access to the already paid for content.

Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse offers great gameplay in a cool setting. Unfortunately these good points get outweighed by the awful graphics and other incompetencies in the game.

Football Manager 2017 is by far the most complete simulation game that every football fan will enjoy. New features will bring the game another step closer to reality. Though apart from the match engine and transfers it feels a little limited.

The Last Guardian offers some nice puzzles. However the gameplay mechanics are too outdated. Therefore, the game is not as good as it could have been.

While Steep looks stunning and has plenty to explore, the game also lacks diversity. Without a clear goal for players, you are more or less left alone to do what you please. Find some friends to play with you, because that is how the game is meant to be played.

Darksiders Warmastered Edition is a worthy re-imagining of the horseman War. The hack and slash action is a lot of fun, and its reasonable price makes reliving the adventure attractive. The gameplay lacks some depth, but overall this remake is solid.

Dead Rising 4 promises a lot of change in the Dead Rising series. While at points this feels awkward and strange, the Dead Rising experience still stands firm due to its enticing story and exaggerated action.

Super Mario Maker 3DS is the most complete Mario experience ever made on a handheld. The level editor is just as simple as last year. Unfortunately there is no way to upload your own levels on a online network, but overall this is a decent Mario title.

Battlezone is a wonderful old Atari game in a new jacket called VR. The game looks great, but is difficult to master. The presence of only one mode in singleplayer and multiplayer is a let down.

DriveClub VR delivers as it comes to content. Dozens of cars and tracks are there for you to explore as you get the feeling like driving these cars. Though its graphics are way below par, it is a nice first step in virtual reality combined with racing.

Deponia didn't go to waste when Daedalic entertainment ported the game to PlayStation 4. The game is funny, wonderful graphics and great characters. The only thing we miss is the use of the track pad.

Super Dungeon Bros has little to no originality. It is repetitive and there is almost no variation. The weapons are not effective, but on the bright side the game is a bit more fun in multiplayer. Still, the game is just not worth buying.

Yesterday Origins is in its heart a wonderful point-and-click adventurer. With a story that grabs you with its both hands, it drags you down to a wonderful adventure. Unfortunately, an adventure that is manifested by technical problems.

Sword Art Online Hollow Realization is an almost perfect imitation of an MMO. The game feels like one, but is more JRPG than MMO. There is tons of stuff to do in a massive world. And it is lots of fun for fans, but also for newcomers to the franchise.

Transport Fever is a great simulation game. It feels like a real challenge and all the transport history looks incredible. The world itself could use some polishing to feel more like a living world and time could be slowed down a bit. The music though!
