Like a real party Forza Horizon can entertain you for hours. The game offers variation in both the singleplayer and multiplayer modes and looks fantastic. The soundtrack just completes it. Despite a few flaws the franchise took a turn that proves to be good for newcomers, but also great for the fanbase. You can't miss out on this party.- XGN

Assassin's Creed III comes as an arrow lit on fire in the ranking list of the best games of the year. The semi-historic settings in New York and Boston in combination with the gorgeous woods make this game by far the best in the franchise.- XGN

It was about time that Dark Souls made its appearance on the PC. Even though this is the same great game, with some added DLC, it doesn't hit home like the console versions did. The graphics aren't polished at all and you really can't play this with a keyboard.- XGN

The king of basketball games delivers pure quality, as it did on the other consoles. Its Wii U-exclusive may not warrant a purchase, but the great experience and fluent controls certainly do.- XGN

The first handheld version in the Super Smash Bros series is a great one. The action we know and love translates perfectly to a smaller screen, and the new fighters and game modes will keep you coming back for hours and hours on end.- XGN

The remasters of both Final Fantasy X and X-2 are the perfect tributes to the fact that the older Final Fantasy games still provide breathtaking journeys which every RPG fan owes himself to experience at least once in his lifetime.- XGN

PES 2017 is another step in the right direction. Konami thus capitalizes further on their strong formula. While not everything is perfect, the core gameplay is really on point: a real joy for lovers of football games.- XGN

Nioh 2 is a challenging game which either makes you blood boil or makes you incredibly happy. There is no in-between. The game is bigger, better and bolder than it's predecessor with more enemies, more regions and more challenges along the way. It is a must-have for those who like a challenge and a must avoid for those who can't stand losing. Because you will lose a lot eventually.- XGN

With Guitar Hero 5 Neversoft almost succeeded in creating the perfect music game. Only some small mistakes prevent this game from scoring the complete 100 points. Still this game is the best music game at this moment.- XGN

NBA Jam: OFE is so much better than it's predecessor. Seeing how well this game is constructed, we don't even know why the first game was ever launched. This game is pure fun, especially with friends. A great substitute for when there's no basketball on TV.- XGN

Even though the Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077 has some performance issues, especially with the Phantom Liberty expansion, there is still a great experience to be had. The game performs surprisingly well when you use the Switch 2 as a handheld, which makes this the best version for Cyberpunk 2077 on the go.- XGN

It seems that number seven is indeed a lucky number, because Mario Kart 7 is the best 3DS-game yet and the most succesfull Mario Kart-game in the series. Thanks to the superior additive of air gliders, which can be useful for navigating through the air, and of propellers to drive underwater, the levels are better than ever. We've got ourselves a new favourite Mario Kart!- XGN

Pikmin 3 Deluxe is a complete game like you tend to get from Nintendo. The graphics got a good brush-up and the controls are adjusted. However, there are still some small issues the game works smoothly. Next to that, the game has some new missions, and you can play the entire game in a worthy split-screen co-op. This is a must-buy for every Switch owner, just because of the great co-op mode.- XGN

Rogue Legacy has a fresh concept with a lot of humour. The idea of playing with a different character in every dungeon is something that speaks to us. Despite having an addicting upgrading system, the game works better with a controller.- XGN

Really, it's amazing again. Football Manager 2013 was already nearly perfect, but this one seems to be perfect and more realistic. Although there's the fear of getting too realistic; making the game less fun. That's a warming for next year, because this year it's luckily still alright.- XGN
