    The show is for kids, and the game is made for kids. However, there's a surprising amount of meat on the game's bones, as it mixes the literal following of the license with effective and unique play mechanics and a surprising lack of repeated gags.

    Sadly, this game is no "Ikaruga," or even a "Crimson Skies"; the truth of the matter is that I could be playing my old copy of AstroBlast on my old Atari 2600 (well, if it still worked) and get the same amount of "rush" shooting random rocks as I could at shooting down ships and their shields in this game.

    Iron Man 2 for the Wii is another example of how a movie tie-in game can go horribly wrong. It isn't a very technically sound title, as issues with the controls and graphics bring attention to the game's lack of polish.

    Deca Sports 3 is an improvement over the previous games in the series, but not by much. A relatively low number of the included games are enjoyable, and the rest either fall below expectations or are simply unappealing.

    The content isn't even worth a laugh, and the story is so full of holes (is this based on a Croatian comic or show? It seems to expect you to know the cast in advance) and clichés that it has no value unless you're a die-hard fan of Eastern European culture.

    25 to Life is the kind of hideous trash that damages gaming's reputation, resulting in the genesis of the Jack Thompsons of the world. I need to go play Pokemon or something, to get this awful taste out of my mouth.

    This PSP version is a really weak port and definitely isn't the ideal way to experience the game. Pick up the PS2 version instead, and unless you're really dying to play Mana Khemia on the go, avoid this one altogether.

    Even if you found yourself enjoying Gothic 4, I can't suggest that you pick up the expansion, Fall of Setarrif. It's a poorly constructed add-on to a mediocre game.

    I'm hopeful that the Gnomes & Goblins developers can address these performance issues quickly. There's still a lot of design work that needs to be addressed if they want this game to be as great as its concept. Until then, Gnomes & Goblins is little more than a stuttering tech demo that doesn't capture the imaginative concept it so desperately craves to be.

    While it's slightly fun for maybe ten minutes, the boring gameplay, "pop-up" problems, and lack of variety in levels, AI, or weapons make Alien Blast one of those games that you can laugh about how bad it is.

    Gungrave VR is a game that not only tarnishes its own legacy but also leaves a bad impression of VR as a whole. The gameplay is shallow, as attacks feel slow and lack any sort of impact. The limited nature of the stages and the lack of any intelligent enemy combat makes the affair boring, but the clunky implementation of VR is what really drags down the game. The VR feels unnatural, and it doesn't safeguard one from getting nausea. There's still hope that the upcoming sequel will fare better, especially if it sticks with more traditional gameplay elements and presentation, but this VR take is one that players can easily skip.

    The game is much more frustrating than it is fun, and the very small glimmers of hope offered in the opening moments are quickly plowed under by the title's myriad flaws and lack of anything that might make it an even remotely compelling experience.

    New Jagged Union is not merely a bad game when compared to its peers, but it is a bad game when compared to any titles released in the last several years. I cannot, in good faith, advise any fan of tactical strategy to make this a purchase.

    When it comes to re-releases of classic games, the most important aspect is ensuring that the original experience is preserved. While Dragon's Lair gets it mostly right, the sloppy Kinect controls and odd issues with the UI make it feel rushed. At 800 MSP ($10 USD), it's not the most expensive purchase, but it's also not a definitive version of the game. There are better ports out there

    Absolutely average in every way. More events and more personality would really help this game, as well as more variety during events, but this is just a good way to experience the heart-pounding thrill of oncoming carpal tunnel syndrome.

    I hate to be this negative and scolding in this review, but in its current state, Babylon's Fall should not exist, especially not with such a hefty price tag. It's a live service game that's hell-bent on monetizing everything, but it's uninterested in being engaging, rewarding, or nice to look at. There are plenty of glimpses of the familiar Platinum Games talent involved, teasing the game that could have been, but it ultimately fails to make an effort except for microtransactions. Even hardcore fans of the genre or Platinum Games should likely avoid this title.

    Anyone who's played a tank simulation before will find this to be a pretty simple game because there isn't much to control, and it can become repetitive rather quickly.

    Naval Assault: The Killing Tide could have been good. The idea of submarine warfare is still exciting, and the Battlestations series has shown that submarines are still very powerful vehicles of war. Unfortunately, the pacing of the title as well as the indecision between a simulation and arcade style hurts the game significantly.

    If you are a hardcore action shooter fan, you may be insulted by the total lack of challenge or variation in the gameplay, and if you are not, there is nothing here to attract you to this uninspired generic disappointment. This is one confession that should have stayed within the family.

    Chrysler Classic Racing for the Wii is another in a long line of racing titles that doesn't respect itself, let alone the system and audience it seeks to find. Everything from the graphics to the controls to the sound is well below par. Even the cars, which should be the highlight of the game, fail to be good enough to interest even mild fan of cars.

    Aside from flight that's entertaining for about 10 minutes, ESV2 has few redeeming qualities. It's quite disheartening, too; just as I was beginning to think licensed games were experiencing a renaissance, ESV2 came along and lowered my expectations to an appropriate level.

    There's nothing to recommend Quantum Error. No part of the game shines, and the ambition of a small team can't save it from the fact that ambition didn't pay off. The bad combat, incoherent story, awkward firefighting mechanics, and clumsy level design all come together to create a game I couldn't recommend at $10, let alone $60. There are too many games out there that do a much better job, and the unique ideas in Quantum Error are too poorly executed for anyone to enjoy.

    Beat-'em-up fans have plenty of other choices for their fix; this is more of an example of how licensed games can be misused instead of an example for how the beat-'em-up genre can return to its former glory.
