Singstar Abba will no doubt appeal to a lot of people, however it will also turn some people off.

Initially I would have written The Last Remnant off, but thankfully it improves loads once you have given it some time to become one of the best games of its type.

The developer has tried to bring back some of the gameplay that made Sonic great in the first place and this works a treat, unfortunately though they have also included the more slow paced gameplay too and this spoils the game completely.

This is a must have for any Wii owner and yet another reason to own a Wii Board. The best skater in the current gen.

You could almost call this game a flawed genius, for fans of the series it’s a must have, for everyone else it’s a maybe.

Not quite up to the excellent standards of Singstar, however a great first attempt which will no doubt evolve over time.

The Metal Slug series are still great games to play after all these years and considering how many versions are out there Metal Slug 7 feels fresh and is a real blast to play.

Although quite basic in it’s nature, Biology Battle is a very fun and addictive game to play, so whether you are playing single player or versus you will find this hard to put down while playing. The only thing that may put people off the game is the 800 MS points price tag, however if you do part with the points you shouldn’t be too disappointed.

Left 4 Dead is an amazing experience and a real good reason to keep your Xbox Live account paid up.

NFS Undercover is a return to form for this long running racer series, the inclusion of the cops really puts pressure on your racing and with the addition of the usual upgrade and tuning options it helps to make this a top arcade racer.

Although this will amuse to begin with, it won’t be long before you wish you had saved your cash for something else.

For the short time this game lasted it was fun and hard to put down, but once complete there is little left to offer. Thankfully comic fans will not be disappointed.

A decent attempt at a snowboarding game which would be better if only it was a bit more user friendly straight from the beginning.

Weapon of Choice is certainly a very fun game and at 400 MS Points, (which works out at around £3.50) you can’t really go wrong, after all this is not a classic rehash but an original game.

Mirror’s Edge really is worth your time as it shows what else can be done with the otherwise overused FPS engine.

Facebreaker K.O. Party is a bit of a let down, it should have improved on the Xbox 360 version but the controllers do not add anything, in fact they make the game a bit worse.

A strong RTS and easily the best on the console market.

Last year was obviously a blip because Pro Evolution Soccer is now back and it is better than ever. The best football game on the market, but only just.

If you loved the last game then you will like this one and it is also a good starting point for newcomers, but series veterans might want something more.

Naruto: The Broken Bond is a really fun game to play, the adventure mode does get a little tedious at points but the fighting and graphics really make up for it. Fans of the show are going to love this game.

Endwar has to be one of the best console RTS’ that has graced the next-generation and even last-generation consoles. It uses a truly immersive control system that gives you a real feel for the depth of battle and complexity of command.

Loads of depth and fantastic presentation makes this a game which should be hard to pass by.

A decent enough game, if not a little predictable. Certainly worth considering if you are a fan of all things Bond.

Ninjatown must be one of the most addictive games on the Nintendo DS. If you love addictive games that you cannot put down then you will love this.

The King of Fighters Collection includes five great games, all of which are real classic fighters that still play great today.

A good racer, if you’re a super bikes fan, otherwise it is pretty average.

I never expected shooting loads of foam darts would be such fun. NERF could have been a run of the mill on the rails shooter but the inclusion of loads of varied game styles make this a winner for the whole family.

Web of Shadows can be fun to play, to begin with at least, however after a while the mundane and repetitive nature of the game kicks in and when this happens you should reach for the power button.

An amazing shooter, a real breakthrough, but the mission structure isn’t up to much.

Its about time the PS3 had a decent RPG, though this is a long way from Final Fantasy in terms of story and presentation, it is original enough for people to give a try.

Midnight Club Los Angeles is a great racing game that has shown itself as one of the best arcade racers on the market.

A faithful conversion with a clever spin on game play on the Richest mode. It’s a real shame there is no online play.

Even writing about Golden Axe: Beast Rider is depressing me, the sooner I get this game out of my head the better, and all I can say to those nostalgic fans out there who want a taste of the new Golden Axe is, keep those good memories of yesteryears game in your head and avoid this game at all costs.

Fans of SOCOM will play and love this game no matter what, but newcomers to the franchise will probably be left disappointed.

Saints Row 2 is an enjoyable action game, however it doesnt really offer anything that we haven’t seen before.

A truly scary space horror survival from EA. Very enjoyable and not to be played in the dark or on your own.

This is a very original puzzle action game, controls are a bit too complicated to be a classic but it is fun enough to pass the time.

It is hard to say if this game will win over Pro Evolution Soccer fans, however it is a top quality football game which anyone who loves the beautiful game would be proud to have in their collection.

Yet another average action shooter to add to the very big pile that are already released.

In the end Silent Hill Homecoming is as mad as a bag of spiders, the look and feel alone will chill you, but just like most scary games and films the story falls flat.

With all the hype on the Playstation Store regarding Wipeout HD and various demos for anticipated games it may have been easy for users to overlook this little game call Geon, however ignore it at your peril, because it’s brilliant.

Overall Brothers In Arms is a game that had all the groundbreaking ideas, however having taken so long to have been released it has missed the boat slightly.

A very impressive racer that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start line to finish.

This is a real mixed bag, on the plus side you have a great track list and colourful graphics which are fun and energetic, but on the down side the control problem is a real let down.

This is definitely a kids game really unless you’re a died hard Pokemon fan thing there is nothing here for you.

Slowdown apart Warriors Orochi 2 on the Xbox 360 really is an excellent game, it’s just that until a patch is released to fix this issue it will never stand out from the crowd.

If you are not a big fan of casual games then you will probably want to steer clear of this, but for people who enjoy a social gathering at home now and again, this is probably as good as it gets.

This is a good fighting game in its own right, but with Soulcalibur and the new Street Fighter around the corner this game may be left on the ropes.

If you enjoy Warhammer this is a keeper, it is true to the series and should keep any fan happy. Be warned though the game does require your time to get the most from it.

Infinite Undiscovery is your typically average JRPG and even if the flaws were fixed it would still remain average.

For the gamer who is looking for a different type of entertainment, Viva Pinata Trouble In Paradise fills in a huge gap in the Xbox market, a great single player game, even better in co-op or online mode.

Amazing fun in groups, okay in single player but by far the best multiplayer game on the DS.

Mercenaries 2 is a bit of a dissapointment, If you like blowing stuff up with a friend its great but as a single player game it seems a bit shallow.

A great swan song for the Summer Live releases, don’t be put off by the faulty online modes as it should be fixed soon, and anyway the single player is worth your points alone.

The real time fighting and simple menu's make Tales of Vesperia a good entry point for newcomers to the RPG genre.

The best golf game money can buy. It has so much on offer and the new Dynamic Skills will keep you on your toes.

Considering this game was made for PSN, it still manages to pack in a brilliant adventure and therefore is well worth its asking price.

Another solid reimage of a classic game. The simplest of ideas but with perfect execution. Will not disappoint new and old fans alike.

This game should have been so much better considering how long it’s been in production, but it’s not and it shows.

Could have been much better, unfortunately though this game has far too many flaws for us to recommend it to anyone.

It has all of indicators of a classic game.

Having three gambling games is OK, but when two of them are boring you start to question why this is released now rather than bundled in with the main game.

Worth trying for people who haven’t played many RPG’s.
