In the end, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint is just a mess. Between its technical issues, repetitive gameplay, subpar gear system, and sinister microtransactions; this is probably the worst open-world live service game so far. Hopefully, its technical issues will be patched soon but the base game will still remain one of the most soulless experiences that I've played this console generation.

Very few indie games manage to create so much out of such a simple premise yet Cyber Protocol does and it's a super-fun experience.

Habroxia is about as standard as retro-style shoot 'em ups can get while still offering slight twists on the classic gameplay.

Beat 'em up fans looking for depth will not find it in Fight'N Rage but they will find simple and fun gameplay. And 2D boobs.

Reventure is quite possibly the funniest game that I've played all year and there's some highly enjoyable gameplay here, too.

The developers of The Bradwell Conspiracy may be onto something with their immersive world, mysterious story, and top-notch voice acting but the game that surrounds all of that is nothing short of irritating.

I absolutely loved my time with A Knight's Quest. It's a lighthearted journey that's full of satisfying and intricate puzzles and boss fights with plenty of humour thrown in for good measure, too.

Valfaris is a straight-up indie masterpiece. If you're a fan of 2D action games then you'd be a goof not to play it.

Motorsport fans will have fun with this reboot, especially if they are looking to race some popular vehicles on well-known real-life circuits. However, the poor quality graphics, lack of local multiplayer, and limited appeal of the Nemesis system makes it harder to recommend.

The Alliance Alive is a wonderful and easy to recommend JRPG. This Switch version offers updated graphics and a reworked menu but not much else to make it worth double-dipping if you already own it on 3DS.

As a huge fan of the original game, I'm amazed by how much more fun Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is. It's a wonderful 2D platformer that provides plenty of challenge and completionists will spend a long time trying to unlock everything.

While I don't have much pinball experience, Star Wars Pinball is easily my favorite game in the genre. It isn't just a love letter to Star Wars; it's an anthology of love poetry that spans the breadth of a galaxy long ago and far, far away.
