Shift Happens is an enjoyable cooperative 2D puzzle platformer but it's unfortunately hindered by a limited solo experience as well as many irritating gameplay flaws. All of that being said, it's easy to see that it has a lot of potential to be a worthwhile game.

Snake Pass is a deceptively difficult game that's perfect for gamers who crave challenging new experiences. It may have an ultimately frustrating and unvaried campaign but what's here is still promising and definitely worth checking out.

Onee Chanbara Origin marks the welcome return of zombie-slaying bikini samurai action. With its crazy B movie premise and absurd amount of violence, it delivers a ridiculous formula that will appeal to any gamer who doesn't take things too seriously.

Ganryu 2 is incredibly difficult but it presents the ideal blend of challenge and satisfying action so you'll keep coming back after getting your ass kicked over and over again. With loads of secrets and a pitch-perfect presentation, this is one swanky old-school ninja game.

I love when games provide freedom while also ensuring that each step of progress is satisfying and Locomoto does just that in all its cuteness.

If you're looking for an enjoyable online multiplayer game for Switch then you could do a lot worse than Friday the 13th: The Game Ultimate Slasher Edition. As long as you don't take the over-the-top violence too seriously, it can be a very fun game.

If you're looking for the next great Metroidvania game or a rewarding adventure puzzler then Mystik Belle unfortunately falls short in both regards. That being said, it is a clever blend of genres so hopefully we see a sequel that isn't as rough around the edges.

Deliver At All Costs is a very funny physics-based romp that features a great deal of variety and consistently entertaining gameplay. At the same time, I wish it wasn't solo-only and it can also be occasionally annoying to play.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is a top-notch example of what Mystery Dungeon games are capable of. Once you pick it up, it's hard to put it down and with dozens of hours of challenging fun; it's definitely worth adding to your game library.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage - Tape 2 answers some questions and fails to deliver on other plot points. Although it provides a lot of optional endings and you learn more about Kat's life, the abundant glitches make it an only somewhat satisfying ending to the summer of '95.

It's Quiz Time is definitely a promising trivia game with a good selection of ways to play but its reliance on basic and seemingly computer-generated questions makes it a tough game to recommend to trivia buffs.

I mostly enjoyed my time with Kao the Kangaroo as it brought me back to the early 2000s when 3D platformers were plentiful and memorable. It may not be a shining example of the genre but it's fun enough for those who are nostalgic for the good old days.

Ultimately, Maneater is a passable distraction. It features a decent bit of fun with a surprisingly heartfelt plot but that's about it. With long gaps between major releases in this part of the year, Maneater will provide some entertainment for those looking to fill the void.

Marsupilami: Hoobadventure is one of those games that has no right to be as good as it is. Even after over 30 years of playing 2D platformers, it really took me back to why I love the genre with its intuitive and rewarding gameplay and cheerful presentation.
