Those Who Remain does a great job with its art style, but that’s about it. Yes, it will keep you entertained for a few hours, but it’s very unoriginal and the performance on Xbox One X is atrocious, at least at launch.

Blades doesn’t live up to the expectations players have for this franchise. It has some interesting features, but its gameplay and an old-fashioned free-to-play design make it very forgettable.

This Definitive Edition is, indeed, a carefully crafted remaster that goes beyond improved visuals to deliver the best way to play one of the best JRPG of the decade.

Song of Horror is a game with great ideas, but not all of them are well executed. It is, however, a survival horror with a great classic vibe, so if you are a long-time fan of the genre, it can be a good option.

As a remaster it could’ve been better, but it still manages to keep all the fun intact. It’s one of the most unique hack & slash games ever made, and if you missed it on Wii U, you shouldn’t miss this second chance.

A Fold Apart knows how to make the most out of its personality, and create a simple but engaging puzzle game. It has some flaws, like a very slow pacing, but, overall, we’ve enjoyed it.

This remastered is actually closer to a proper remake, with completely overhauled graphics. The game still is as crazy as it was, and if you miss that classic Saints Row action, it’s the best way to rediscover it.

Golf with your Friends is exactly what its title promises. It’s a great game to pick up and play, but it lacks some options that should be mandatory, like quick games with fewer holes, or automatically kicking out idle players, who ruin the fun for the rest.

Neversong might not be the greatest platformer as such, but it’s its story and narrative how it connects with the player. If you want a deeper take on the genre, this might be your game.

Dungeons is a good concept spoiled by broken progression system. It can be enjoyable with friends, but its repetitive level design and lack of enemy diversity will take the fun out of it after a few hours.

Maneater is one of those arcade games we miss. It’s just pure fun, with a fantastic documentary-like narrative that makes playing it more enjoyable. It gets quite repetitive, though, as the mission design isn’t very diverse, but if you pace yourself you can make this flaw more bearable.

Even if flawed, this Definitive Edition still holds up quite well, particularly if we focus on the narrative and accept it as an action game rather than a sandbox.

Arcade Spirits is an interesting story about video games and personal relationships. It is also a good entry point for the visual novel genre, so, if it catches your eye, give it a try.

This is a good port of the original game, but the game itself hasn’t aged very well. It has some good ideas, but we find Much’s Odyssey to be the least interesting entry in the series.

Project Diva Megamix is a great rhythm-base game, addictive and fun. If you’re a long-term fan of the series you might not find enough new features here, but if you want to give the series a try for the first time, this can be a good choice.

Ion Fury is a good game, but the adaptation to consoles is not that good. Bad framerate and lack of basic options like inverting the Y axis (although it should be fixed with a patch soon) are a quite disappointing, although the core, retro experience remains.

Huntdown has become one of our favorite tributes to Metal Slug or Probotector. If you are a fan of run & gun games, make sure you check it out, as it is a fantastic homage to the classics and, just like them, it’s best played with a friend.

SuperMash is like a dream come true… if it worked. The idea of having some sort of randomized retro game sounds great, but none of the mini-games work very well, and ends up being a little bit disappointing.

Fury Unleashed knows how to deliver an engaging gameplay, thanks to its combo system fast-paced design. If you’re ok with a rogue lite approach, we think you’ll have a great time with it.

Someday You’ll Return has a very solid foundation, somehow weakened by unnecessary stealth sequences and some parts that are longer than they should have, That aside, it’s a great adventure, with a good story and interesting ideas that keeps you engaged throughout it.

Legends of Runeterra is a card-based game full of interesting and complex mechanics that feels unique thanks to its dynamic round system, strategy-defining champions and a generous system to get new cards.

Levelhead is a fun platformer with great tools so you can unleash your imagination and create your own levels, or enjoy the community creations.

Obey Me has its shortcomings, but it’s quite enjoyable. Although there are better brawlers out there, if you’re looking for one with local coop, this can be a good option.

Follia could’ve been an interesting game, but its gameplay is just not good enough. It feels like we’ve played this game too many times, and it doesn’t do anything well enough to recommend it over the dozens of alternatives available. We understand the limited resources this small Italian team had; however, the core mechanics are just not fun.

Dread Nautical is quite interesting, combining survival and turn-based strategy with a horror setting. It might feel a little bit overwhelming some times, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll have a lot of fun with it.

Cloudpunk is a good game… but it doesn’t do anything that we hadn’t seen before. We feel it needs a deeper focus on the gameplay, but if you’re happy just discovering this universe and its story, you can have a good time with it.

Moving Out is a game you want to try if you are looking for something to play with a friend. It’s brilliantly designed and requieres a lot of skill and coordination, but it’s also fun and easy to pick up.

Streets of Rage is back with a new game that nails the feeling of the classics. It looks great, has a fair amount of unlockable content, and adds small changes to the combat to make it even better. We’ve experienced some issues playing online that, according to the devs, will be fixed soon, but that aside, the experience was fantastic and it definitely deserves that 4.
