Warden’s Will has some great ideas and serves as a fun roguelike you can play solo or with friends. However, a lack of depth and variety makes its longevity questionable, and players might find themselves burnt out after a few hours.

Project Tower stands out in some places, namely with its gorgeous level design and bullet-hell boss fights, but leaves something to be desired with its core mechanic, which feels underutilized and unnecessarily restrictive. The game is worth checking out if you’re interested, but the short experience may feel a bit railroaded.

While I’ll leave the NFT aspect for consumers to judge, I will say that Fusionist is engaging and worth trying if you’re interested in a free-to-play game. However, the restrictions in the Early Access playtest might make it better to wait until the full launch before giving it a shot. [Early Access Review]

Even in its current Early Access state, Voin already offers plenty to enjoy. While I felt I mastered the combat and crafted a strong build within the first two hours, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The developer’s roadmap promises to expand on the already enjoyable experience, adding much more before the game’s full release. That being said, potential buyers should keep in mind that Voin currently lacks content and contains bugs typical of any early-access title. [Early Access Review]

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1-2 Remastered delivers a graphically remastered version of two legendary games, perfectly preserved for fans to enjoy. While the experience is a true remaster, dedicatedly faithful to the original, it left this reviewer hungry for a Soul Reaver remake.

Though it could use a bit more polish, Stars in the Trash is a beautifully crafted game showcasing a love for old-school animation and pets. It’s an easy choice for fans of both.

Despite these flaws, Among Ashes shines where it matters most. Its shortcomings don’t detract significantly from the overall experience. I highly recommend it to horror enthusiasts, though you might want to avoid playing it alone in the dark.

Neon Blood stands out for its art, featuring incredible environments, great pixel art, and incredible hand-drawn cutscenes. However, the rest of the gameplay and narrative features a disappointing lack of depth, preventing the game from reaching its full potential.

Planet Miners could have been unique and fun. By ignoring the RPG and building mechanics of Starbound, it could have doubled down on mining. Instead, it feels like a tech demo—a shallow game that, frankly, I don’t recommend. I’d like to see it pulled from Steam and given more development time.

New Arc Line offers a fresh RPG experience, blending high magic and steampunk. While still in Early Access, its unique setting, expansive landscapes, and innovative d100 system show promise, especially for RPG fans seeking personalized experiences. However, localization issues and stiff animations detract from the immersion, making the game feel unfinished. Despite these drawbacks, New Arc Line has the potential to become a standout. My only real issue is with the underwhelming flight mechanics. Despite being set in space, movement is surprisingly slow, and maneuverability doesn’t reflect the freedom of zero gravity. While you can move in all six directions, the controls aren’t as fluid or immersive as in other space combat games. I understand this might be due to technical limitations, but it’s a major flaw that took me out of the experience, especially considering how much I enjoyed everything else.

Despite these quirks, I’m confident Towers of Aghasba will improve during Early Access. The game’s creative vision, rich world-building, and innovative mechanics have the potential to make it extraordinary. With continued refinement, I believe it will deliver an unforgettable experience. Whether building, restoring the land, or exploring, Towers of Aghasba offers a rich, engaging experience that is well worth your attention. [Early Access Review]

Despite these shortcomings, Menace from the Deep remains enjoyable for fans of the genre (I’m tentatively calling it “Spire-like”). It’s still fun for those seeking a roguelike with a twist. With some mechanical tweaks, it could become a standout, but currently, it feels like an unrealized opportunity.
