Survival: Fountain of Youth is full of interesting ideas and great moments, but also some polarizing mechanics and jank. If you can tough it through the game’s slow start and learning curve, it will surely pull you in and give you a memorable experience despite its flaws.

RUNGORE is an impressively unique little roguelike that I feel deserves more attention. It’s fantastic art, and the ability to sell you on both comedic and dramatic atmospheres paired with a unique spin on the deckbuilding archetype makes for something that’s worth trying and easy to appreciate.

Die By The Blade delivers fast-paced, deadly skill-heavy combat for players to master in 1v1 battles. While not perfectly balanced, the game features some awesome cosmetics and exciting gameplay that will surely hook fans of the genre in for the long haul.

Though some aspects of the game may be polarizing, Dread Delusion is undoubtedly a unique and exciting title, built for fans of classic RPGs to enjoy. Some will love it, and some will hate the game’s retro aesthetic, but no RPG enthusiast can deny the game’s excellent world-building and engaging stories.

Mullet Madjack is something between a clever parody and a loving tribute to the genres it was inspired by, full of both clever critique and engaging writing. Throw a fast-paced, exciting, and super-addictive gameplay loop on top of that, and you have my new favorite title.

ROBOBEAT has a personality all on its own, presenting a unique experience that is much more than just a fun spin on the rhythm game genre. Absolutely oozing with style, it demands to be experienced to get what it offers truly. It is a fun romp with thrilling visuals, exciting action, and an emphasis on excellent music catered to your particular tastes.

Fabledom is a truly unique spin on the city-building genre, giving you not only a fable book makeover but a unique set of fantastical obstacles to overcome. Adorable and colorful but not afraid to be challenging, the game provides plenty of challenge for the city-sim veteran, as well as a charming political and romantic element that helps keep the game fresh.

Men of War II is a fighting return for the legendary RTS franchise, featuring deep strategic gameplay and unique new game modes to keep you playing forever. Fans of historical strategy games are in for strategic intensity and explosive action in Men of War II’s epic battles.

Little Kitty, Big City sets off to do something simple and does it well, delivering a fantastically cute and charming little cat game where you can do everything you expect a cute kitty to do. Short, sweet, and relaxing, Little Kitty, Big City just might be one of the best games to let out some stress and get up to some adorable kitty hijinks.

Abiotic Factor is a fun multiplayer survival game with great potential. It wears its inspirations on its sleeves and harkens many familiar feelings (at least it did for me) while still being utterly unique. [Early Access Review]

Undead INC takes an amazing concept and fails to fully realize it. Be it a lack of time or vision, the game feels incomplete, coasting off a great idea and doing very little to execute on its own potential. You might find something to enjoy in Undead INC, but I personally don’t recommend it.

INDIKA is an utterly unique, psychedelic, and strange title, telling a wonderful, thought-provoking story filled with striking imagery and wonderfully bleak humor.

Even with my mild critiques, Sand Land is a great game, packed with all the style, soul, and creativity you’d expect from its creator. The late Akira Toriyama will forever be missed, and while we also have his vast catalog of creations to pull from, Sand Land is a great way to remember this creator and serves as a good appreciation of his memory.

Sker Ritual is a fantastic game that successfully pulls off a highly desired gameplay formula certain triple-A companies haven’t been able to in years. Though the game has one or two quirks, I would say that all that needs to change is adding dedicated servers and removing the peer-to-peer lag issues, and Sker Ritual would be the perfect Zombies game for fans itching to play the genre again.

This game deserves all the time in the world needed to accomplish its true vision, which is clearly something spectacular and deeply engaging, but I’ll be damned if I don’t get a pressing sense of impatience thinking about everything to come. Manor Lords has me absolutely hooked, as I’m sure it will have you as well, and while updates may be a little slow, I’m super excited to see them come. [Early Access Review]

Another Crab’s Treasure is a Soulslike but for fans and newcomers to the series alike, creating a hilarious, exciting nautical knightly adventure for audiences of all ages.

Though I have reservations, Phantom Fury is still a great shooter with much to offer. Some players will certainly be able to circumvent the areas that I complained about in their own playthroughs. Still, even if you experience the same pace-fighting confusion I did, the game is worth playing and will certainly win back your goodwill with some of its more action-packed and exciting moments.

No Rest For The Wicked is a highly promising game that can only improve during its time in Early Access. It makes exciting changes to the ARPG formula, has phenomenal art and visuals, and has fun combat. While I would like to see some changes addressed to the game’s balance (particularly in the ability for players to grind XP / levels), it has quickly become one of my new favorites. Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure has been released into Early Access with more than a solid foundation, and if we have nothing but further improvements to make, expect that players have a title worth really getting excited for. [Early Access Review]

While not your most traditional “game,” Harold Halibut is without a doubt a true work of art, something the likes of which we haven’t seen before and are unlikely to see again.

Lacking in great mechanical depth and with a disappointingly linear design, Yet Another Fantasy Title nevertheless kept me invested with its story and occasional bouts of good humor. If you’re in the mood for something simple and funny, Yet Another Fantasy Title just might be the game for you.

Withering Rooms feels incredibly nostalgic and yet does plenty of new things, making for a horror game that utterly stands out. Its creativity, downright amazing writing, and incredible characters will suck you in, and the tense, everpresent horror of the Dream will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Revival: Recolonization is a 4X game that, while still feeling familiar, offers its fair share of innovation. Though it can be slow at times, it has a ton to offer, and with its unique takes on mechanics and style, the game is sure to offer something for the tired 4X fan looking for something new. Broken Roads is a charming, phenomenally written, and incredibly engaging RPG about life in what remains of the Down Under, and is equally likely to break your heart and put a smile on your face with its wonder storytelling and characters.

I wasn’t able to get far in Monster’s Domain, gatekept either by overtuned enemies, frustrating mechanics or bugs that kept me from proceeding or wanting to try. In the end, Monster’s Domain feels like a promising game that is nearly ready to go into early access. Unfortunately, however, this beta test for a strong premise has already hit its full release.

Ereban: Shadow Legacy is an excellent story wrapped in a clever platforming stealth game. Fans of the stealth genre or those just looking for a great story are sure to enjoy melding into the shadows and parkouring their way through this wonderfully put-together and presented world.

Boy, do those units and buildings look fantastic! The game has a super modern look that somehow also captures the style of classic RTS games. The textures are super crisp and high quality, as are the models they’re placed over, yet somehow they look super-nostalgic. [Early Access Review]
