Crimson Desert may not be a completely focused game, meaning that it may not shine in certain aspect overwhelmingly, but its diverse set of systems and activities defies repetition and boredom and attempts to break technical and design boundaries. It is certainly a real technical achievement that takes open worlds in games to unprecedented levels, but storytelling is a bit weaker than we expected.

Avowed comes packed with a diverse combat system assisted by companions reminiscent of previous RPG games complemented by a fun exploration element in a beautiful world. However, the story here isn't Obsidian's best work to date.
