Fun and simple gameplay, meets generic graphics and horrible music in Heli-Awesome! OpenFeint and Game Center integration is great, but with the ability to IAP your way to greatness it means the scoreboards can't be trusted as an accurate gauge to your high flying skills.

Kotomon may catch monsters, but didn't quite catch me. It's not all bad news though; if six guys ever jump out at me on my way home with a mate, I'll know what to do.

Castlevania: Encore of the night tries to a lot of interesting things, but succeeds at none of them. Even hard-core Castlevania fans will have a hard time making it through this one.

I found that the RPG mechanics in Hybrid 2 are shallow, the combat takes far too long to get interesting, and the story is a snoozefest. All of these flaws contribute to make a game with little motivation outside of flashy graphics and combat that is fun at a very basic level.

Overall the solid control scheme and great graphics don't hide the fact that once you have unlocked all the weapons and slain countless numbers of the same old zombies, you will lose interest after an hour or so.

Liberation Maiden received praise on the 3DS, but in losing the element of physical control it seems that a crucial component of this brisk-paced shooter has been lost.

WWE Superstar Slingshot is clearly an Angry Birds clone, and not a very good one at that.

Mission: Deep Sea then is a mixed bag. On the one hand [or flipper] it looks great, but on the other it just doesn't offer enough content, instead teasing you with some interesting gameplay ideas but a short lived experience.

If you however are versed in any of the genres you will think it is a shallow game that fails the genre you know the best. To me it manages to fail in both, but still it can be quite fun in short spurts.

Cognitile would be a better game had its core mechanic been purely memorization, but the difficulty of using the clock stands in the way.

Garage Inc. is a short, and at times enjoyable experience. For the most part it is a frustrating repetitious experience, and I will probably never play it again.

The only thing missing from this game is an actual game. Naturally I jest, but with only two play options (aside from Bluetooth multiplayer), this is one bike that doesn't have many legs. I hope you understand what I mean.

At a buck Solomon's Keep might be an interesting diversion for the dual stick shooter and dungeon crawler fan. Technical issues, short game life, and strange design choices makes it less appealing to the casual gamer.

Critter Escape has some glimpse of greatness when level goals get challenging, but that happens too seldom. Most of the time the gameplay feels pedestrian, and paired with a boring lead character not even named it is a title that I at least won't remember six months from now.

Tactical Soldier – Undead Rising combines a lengthy eight hour campaign, decent storyline and good presentation with some awkward controls, linear gameplay and annoying pace. To me the game ended up being boring due to the linearity.

Finger Shoes is a simple and highly approachable concept. It has fun and funky graphics, and an annoying but catchy soundtrack. However, like Forest Gump running across the US, it needs to do a little soul searching before it can refine itself and become a must-have casual game.

Eve of Impact is a great looking view of a bleak future for mankind where the universe is falling apart. Sadly the game is quite shallow with only one survival game mode, no online leaderboards or achievements. To me this is a shame, as the gameplay in itself infuses new life in the classic Missile Command formula.

Pocket Clothier has its moments, but most of the time it manages to run itself without much interaction. There is simply too little to do, and too little to look forward to.

I don't mean to sound cynical, but just about every kind of game is tacking on RPG elements to add some perceived depth. Like a fool, I always dive straight into them.

Ionocraft Racing is a mixed bag to score. The first thirty minutes are really fun with a lot of customization. Then it turns to a lonely brown mess, and I lost my interest. This happens both on the iPhone, and on the iPad.

After Burner Climax is a short intense arcade shooter that suffers from a lot of technical limitations and pacing issues. Loading times, no save system to resume current game and jagged graphics at less intense moments are letting the game down. I would have liked to get to know After Burner a bit better, and at least had some time to get to know each other before reaching the Climax.

Mr. Dreamer is a fresh single tap runner game that is in need of some direction when it comes to progression. Without proper missions it soon becomes boring and pointless. Before Tiny Wings, and Jetpack Joyride we were content with just going for high scores, but now we want more from a game.

If you are in the mood for some hyper-violent arcade action, you may enjoy The Lost Reels. I found that the game lacked any real comedic edge, something that the Wii version appears to have. Considering that the primary selling points of the Overkill games are their intentionally overbearing violence and comedy, I would consider The Lost Reels a weak successor to the original game.

Pastry Panic has some moments of fun when it all clicks, but these are not that frequent. Most of the time it feels like I am waiting for the pace to pick up, only knowing that I will curse at the controls once it does. Pastry Panic will probably hook some players, but it failed to hook me and left me feeling a bit bored.

At $1.99, The Other Brothers will be worth a gander if they implement a fix to the control scheme. Until then, I would direct you to hunt for your platforming princess in another castle.
