Although it's got a bit of bloat and the overall package isn't quite as strong as the previous game, Dragon Quest 6 is still a phenomenal RPG.

At its core, FireWhip is a high score chaser, albeit one with a unique mechanic. But its style, the presentation goes a long way toward making this even more satisfying to play than a basic presentation would be, and elevates the whole thing.

If you're new to the series, you'll get more bang for your buck by picking up Harmony 2, and I'd certainly strongly recommend that you do that, if you haven't played a Harmony game before.

There is a lot of great variety to the puzzles, and the art is super colorful and really pops.

I’m gonna be honest: I don’t know how many people in our readership are going to go for a free-to-play kart racing RPG. Especially one that’s pretty generic in it’s racing and RPG-ing. Here’s the thing, though. KKRacing’s actually really fun.

Cartoon Survivor packs delights and annoyances in near equal measures, a combination I know has its fans. For anyone else? Well, the first bit is free for a reason.

It's a mixed bag, the best parts are front-loaded, and it's relatively light on content, so I can really only recommend this one to particularly hungry fans of the genre.

Weird pricing issues aside, Truck Trials 2 is still an undeniably fun game.

If you're looking for another stealth game, Robbery Bob 2: Double Trouble deserves a second look. It may not be in the running for most the memorable franchise in town, but it gets the job done for those of you who desire puzzle-oriented gameplay over non-stop action.

I don't think Hue Ball will win any awards for originality, but it's a darn fine iteration on an existing concept.

The game is free-to-play, but it definitely falls on the “good” end of that spectrum.

Here goes: It’s not great. It’s packed with all the free-to-play nonsense you all hate, the gameplay is pretty bland, and nothing you do seems to matter in any way.

All in all, it's not bad for a first attempt, but with this sub-genre so much more competitive on iOS than the standard JRPG one, WorldWideSoftware is going to need to work harder on the battle mechanics if they mean to revisit it in the future.

If you want a game where you can just run around and shoot a bunch of gooey mutants, and enjoy doing so, check out Xenowerk. You won't be disappointed.

Despite its F2P model, the game offers players interesting, uninterrupted gameplay and plenty of strategic decisions. PES CM is a very entertaining soccer manager game wrapped up in a, mostly, attractive package that I recommend to anyone who'd rather not spend the dozens of hours a game like Football Manager Classic demands

You certainly have to appreciate a bit of old-fashioned sensibility to get the most out of Dungeoneers Quest, but if you're open to that sort of structure, you'll likely have a good time here.

And Brickies is, deep down, still a brick-breaker. And it can't escape that to be an excellent game. It's as good a game as it possibly can be, though.

This is a premium game through-and-through, with no IAPs in sight, and if you are a wargamer of any type, you should play Vietnam '65 so you can see how an innovative take on war can offer many hours of fresh and thought-provoking gameplay.
