While Rainbow Moon isn't a bad game by any means, it can definitely get stale given the effort it takes to progress. There aren't enough gameplay advances to keep the game fresh, and the story isn't compelling enough to maintain interest.

It's a shame that the ominous atmosphere and touching story aren't backed up with quality gameplay. Lost Planet 3 takes the series in a whole new direction but unfortunately it doesn't head down a unique path.

The one big hook in Sanctum 2 ends up being a let down as the FPS game is so poorly executed. What's left is a far too generic tower defense game that is impossible to recommend in the face of better options out there.

The Bureau is a bit of a step back for the XCOM franchise. The game lacks the identity of its Firaxis cousin and feel way too much like an uninspired derivative of other games. A fractured development history clearly left its mark.

Nostalgia can only take you so far as DuckTales: Remastered proves. I appreciate the homage to a NES Classic but games have moved so far beyond this simple structure that it's more frustration than fascination at this point.

Thunder Wolves is not the most polished experience you'll find on the PSN, but there is a surprising amount of fun if you give it a chance. Excellent light fare between bigger gaming meals.

ArcaniA has an expansive world to explore. Unfortunately there's almost nothing of interest to find there and you'll likely leave unsatisfied.

Deadly Premontion would score way higher if there were no guns. An amazing narrative and lovingly crafted universe brought down by archaic gameplay and weird pacing. Absolutely worth your time if you appreciate the sublime.

Fuse seems like it took the template for a co-op shooter and forgot to take the time to modify that template to give the game a soul. Much like the title of the game, Fuse is generic and easily forgotten.

In the end, it's almost exactly what you'd expect from a big-budget cash-in based on a big-budget summer blockbuster. Flashy, but ultimately soulless and empty.

At this point an "enhanced" edition (or editions) of a Ninja Gaiden release are obligatory, but none of the enhancements make this game any more viable as an actual game to enjoy playing. Let's hope the series can bounce back one day.

The most damning thing to say about Tiger Woods 2014 is that it gives you no reason to upgrade from prior versions. With a bevy of overpriced DLC and scaled back modes there isn't a whole lot to recommend in this entry compared to earlier ones.

It's not really possible at this point to be wowed by an arcade collection, but at least Capcom Arcade Cabinet puts a layer of shine on some of these. They've also dug a little deeper in the archives than usual. Still a bit pricey for nostalgia.

The only thing Thieves in Time does wrong is not try hard enough. Sanzaru didn't deviate enough from the PS2 plan and didn't take the time to create enough unique content. A lateral move from the previous entries in the series.

The biggest flaw in EDF (other than graphics and gameplay) is the pricing. Charging more for a six year old game than you did on release is a tough sell for something so clearly rooted in the "budget" category from Day 1.

The game is technically proficient but unfortunately Sports Champions 2 fails to offer the unique and interesting events that the original did. There are better examples of most of the sports in other packages or more focused games.

F1 Race Stars is just another karting game that doesn't do nearly enough to make it stand out from the competition and in fact seems trite and lazy in comparison. The F1 license isn't enough to make it worth your time.

Capcom continues to thumb its nose at long time series fans. Not only have they abandoned any pretense of tension and fear, they've dredged up tired old storylines and shifted the game solidly into Gears of War territory. Let the series die!

A budget game through and through, it still manages to tell an interesting story but the whole experience is brought down by technical limitations and uninspired puzzle solving. The game would have felt out of date a decade ago.

Jeremy McGrath's Offroad is a competent racing game that fails to drum up and excitement and is completely overshadowed by retail releases like DiRT Showdown.

The FPS doesn't launch with much of a bang on the Vita. Resistance is a decidedly average game with major control and graphics issues that make it a chore more often that you'd like. The promise of competitive online is mostly squandered.

A lackluster port of a middling game that does little to showcase the exciting new system it's on means only the diehard fans need to bother spending time with the world's most famous wizard.

This is a game worth your time. I can't emphasize it enough by saying it's very 'Japanese' and quirky, meaning you're unlikely to find anything else like it on the market right now.

A neat toy for your Move, it's hard to justify even a budget retail price for a game that belongs on the lower rung of the PSN price scale. The frantic minigames evoke a few hours of fun, but things don't change enough to keep it fresh.

Don't get me wrong, the game is fun and a filled online match is second to none. With some better decisions this game could have been special, instead it's forgettable and will likely be abandoned. Sitting in lobbies is not the definition of a good time.

It almost feels like a patched version of 2K11. With another challenger looming in the wings for next year's baseball crown it's likely that 2K will have to step their game up. Note to devs: please fix the shoes next year, too. I beg of you.

Don't get me wrong: I loved my time with Asura's Wrath. I want to see the game succeed and get more support. I just wish there was more bang for the buck and that the ending wasn't obviously setting up for a sequel by leaving so many loose ends.

It doesn't quite capture the pathos of the first game, but it DOES tighten up the gameplay and keep the action moving all the way through. It won't go down as a cult classic like the first, but there is plenty of fun this time around.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus is a good port of a once great game. Returning fans will doubtlessly fall back in love with the combat, but will be dismayed with how poorly the rest of the package has aged.

At its core, Wipeout 2048 is a solid arcade racer, but it suffers from a few too many poor design decisions to truly shine. Die hard series fanatics will still find a lot to enjoy, but mileage may vary for first time players.

The House of the Dead III's individual components might all be pretty unimpressive, but it's still a fun game for an hour or so and it's perfectly priced for the type of experience it offers.

Asphalt Injection isn't quite a terrible game, but it isn't a good one. If Gameloft had upgraded more than just the visuals when they brought the franchise over from the mobile platforms, this could have been a fun racer. As it stands, it isn't.

Despite some good stabs at satire and humor, the overall experience of All Zombies Must Die! is uninspiring. A light crafting system adds a bit of variety, but we've all killed an awful lot of zombies by now.

Winter Stars offers a few intriguing events, but remains mired in the same old morass that all these olympic-style events sink into. Bland controls certainly don't help, and the story mode and multiplayer don't do enough to sell you on the game.

While EyePet & Friends can be a good distraction for siblings and even teach a few valuable lessons, technical snafus all over the place can turn the whole experience into a frustrating one for kids and parents alike.

As a game designed to appeal to young boys and sell more merchandise, Skylanders achieves its goals. In the annals of games as marketing tools though, it isn't as compelling as classics like Cool Spot or Chex Quest.

Telltale tries to take a new tack with Jurassic Park, and while their forte of creating good narratives shines through once in a while, it isn't nearly often enough to overcome the lack of actual interactivity and decision making in the game.

I wanted to like The Run and early on, I genuinely did, but things quickly started to fall apart, culminating in some courses that were nothing but pure frustration. A few bright spots and interesting online aren't enough to escape mediocrity.

Off The Record is the way Dead Rising 2 should have been to begin with. But the lack of improvements to the aging gameplay, it is clear that this game is a quick repressing that didn't get the love it truly deserved.

Sure, The Sims 3 Pets is a robust package that deepens the feline and canine experience, but it doesn't translate all that well to the console space, nor does it provide enough new content to bring back fans burnt out on the core game.

Worms Crazy Golf drops the ball by seeming to ignore what makes games fun. There are some interesting holes scattered throughout, but you need to push through so many uninspiring ones to get there. Better Co-op would have gone a long way.

Payday: The Heist can still be a good time with the right people, but you'd be better off playing a better game with them.

A decided stop backwards for the series, and a disappointment for long-time fans. Be very sure to look closely at what you are getting when you jump into this one, and keep your expectations low. Sometimes trying a new approach just doesn't work.

Sideways: New York separates itself with it gravity tricks and keen aesthetics, but comes charging back to the pack with its mediocre gameplay and slightly repetitive content. There's a lot of nice glitz here but not much substance.

Code Veronica is NOT for everyone, but longtime fans of the series will appreciate Capcom completing the collection digitally. The last of the old-school Resident Evils won't appeal to modern gamers, unfortunately.

In the world of Qix clones, Cubixx HD does enough to separate itself with a variety of challenges and some interesting modes. It loses some points for not including any online in a game that offers 8-player co-op though.

Section 8: Prejudice is a mix of a lot of good ideas and some varied results. It looks pretty good (and in the campaign, epic), but it isn't consistent. In all, it is a good package for sci-fi shooter fans looking to experiment and see a new world.

It's no Game of the Year, but it's a solid product for fans.

The game delivers what you might expect from two iconic developers. Unique story, plenty of grindhouse-style visuals and slightly lackluster gameplay. Fans of these auteurs will be pleased. Parents of impressionable youths will not.

To be punny about it, the game is mindless fun, but how inconsistent the world's rules are will disappoint and frustrate most people. A lack of online multiplayer severly limits this the replay value. It has potential but it doesn't solidify any ideas.

Codemasters would be best served choosing to make their games either realistic or fun, and stop trying to find a balance between the two. Right now we are left with a game that alternates between frustrating and boring, but one that is never enjoyable.

The game was rushed, plain and simple. No one expected High Moon Studios to pull off a miracle in a year but I did expect a bit more polish. If you want a great Transformers game, check out War for Cybertron, it's also a fraction of the price.

Hopefully this is Duke's swan song. No matter what happens next it will never top Forever in terms of hype and discussion. It doesn't deserve the venom it got from reviewers and message boards, but it probably doesn't deserve your cash, either.

As a historical piece, it is practically unparalleled. As a modern game, it is rife with issues that would never be tolerated. In the end, it is a great addition for fans and collectors, but of very little value to new gamers.

Could be more polished, and a tough sell at four hours with no replay, but certainly a uniquely crafted experience.

Nostalgia can be a powerful emotion, but as SEGA Rally Online Arcade proves, solely building a game around our human desire to treasure past memories doesn't necessarily make it great.

What we have here is a strange case. You have a fun, unique racing game surrounded by bad ideas. I still can't get over the fact that there is DLC in the box but literally two tracks until you hit level ten. And no, I don't want to pay for more.

When the main reason I keep coming back is a thirty second mini-game, we have a problem. Really though, the game does the absolute minimum to be considered "good." While it's fun there's nothing that keeps you coming back for more. Shame, really.

Sadly, even the veteran Naruto fans will find this title to be a dud. You can't very well enjoy a beat 'em up brawler who has a terrible AI and boring battles. What you've got here is a title that had potential but failed.

Hoard does pretty well for itself on PSP, but it does make for a tough sell to PS3 owners, especially those that have the original game. It feels a bit too confined in its own world without multiplayer, despite its own metagame.

The switch to a simpler play style is a welcome one, and it's great to see some of the legends of the past get their due. The presentation is top notch. Unfortunately there isn't a whole lot of content to play around with here, and it can get old fast.

MotoGP 10/11 is certainly not a terrible game, yet it has so little to offer besides its decent career and great racing core that it becomes really difficult to recommend to anyone but the most enthusiastic of MotoGP fans.

There's a lot to like about MLB 2K11. While the series is trending up it definitely needs a makeover and a whole lot of polish to break through the negative reputation tied to it. It's not an ace but it's a serviceable mid-rotation starter.

Rush N' Attack: Ex-Patriot is proof that some game franchises are best left forgotten in a dusty warehouse somewhere. If developers insist on reviving these games, they need to at least do something innovative. Keep trying, Konami.

I'm probably skewing that score a bit high due to my love of the genre, but we don't get many entries in this category. It's a budget title that will scratch the itch for wrecking cars, but it doesn't run too deep or look that classy.

This may even be a bit generous given all of the problems. Eutechnyx is trying to fix things and I commend them for that; unfortunately it just feels like a beta test and that's just unacceptable. We'll just have to see how they build on this next year.

Severed is two more hours of typical Dead Space 2 gameplay served alongside a decent story that revolves around losing a loved one. It works, though due to a painful lack of surprises is definitely nothing you couldn't live without.

Mediocrity is a death knell for a game that is very shallow to start with. Lord of Arcana copies a lot from the Monster Hunter series, but failed to understand that the depth of combat was always the focus and thus fails at being fun.

'Kaos' may have been trying to spread their wings a bit, but the overall story in the campaign may have clipped their wings, more so with an abrupt ending. As interesting and deep as the SP world and MP gameplay can be, it's a tad outclassed by the rest.

I really hate to do this. I love NIS. I'll say that until the end. But Hyperdimension Neptuina was just plain bad. There's no real positive to this game unless you like big breasted anime chicks in completely boring situations.

A step back from the first game, lacking the retro appeal and suffering from what seems to be lazy level design and a paucity of textures. It's still fun to swing around, just not for the half-dozen hours it takes to slog through the whole experience.

Not really worth even the $15 price tag. You are better off putting that money towards a higher budget FPS title.

Collecting and transforming into new costumes is always great, but the repetition and simplified battles are not justified by the $15 asking price. Once on sale, it's definitely worth getting.

A classic example of a game with a lot of great ideas that loses its focus. With a little more polish, we could have had something special here. What we end up with is a title that air balls some of those wide open jumpers.

Don't take a less-than-great score for The Fight: Lights Out as a slight against the overall product. Though there isn't enough here to warrant the purchase price (a PSN release would have been fine, really), but in short bursts it's a blast.

It's great fun for anyone who comes to visit, and it will definitely give you a workout.

The lack of story, bland feel of the characters and overall lame fighting system condemn Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2. And it does nothing for the franchise unless you're already a raging fanboy.

If you know what you're getting into, you'll enjoy what Ken's Rage has to offer. It's as deep as you want it to be; but, you have to meet the game halfway. That's just not enough for everyone.

With The Force Unleashed II, LucasArts has made notable improvements regarding visuals and combat. However, the story is so short and lackluster, you'll quickly wonder why you're playing.

A fairly decent jigsaw puzzle simulator wrapped up in a dull, difficult quiz game. Terrific if you are a Life Sciences obsessed teen or retired zoologist, but a waste of time for the rest of us.

It's an average maiden voyage for the series on the PlayStation Move. When taken together as a whole package, however, the bad outweighs the good. It can be salvaged with a friend, but you have to cherry pick what to play to enjoy this title.

It's tough to recommend Blood Stone 007 to anyone but the most loyal of Bond fans, and even they should consider passing on this at best very average 007 title.

Alien Breed: Impact is a love letter to all the things that inspired the designers, but apparently they forgot to flirt with fun. Unless you still boot up your Amiga to play the original, don't waste time when there are better games in the genre.

To have waited for this long though... we probably should have gotten a little more polish and originality for the price tag.

Quantum Theory is the type of game we're going to find in the bargain bin at Gamestop in a few years. And don't fall for it then either.

Those who want to get deep into the game, have a wealth of options at their disposal however. Some of the frustrating bugs, such as rigged pit stops, questionable scripted A.I. and corrupt save issues might be enough to give pause, but Codemasters has acknowledged the problems, and as of writing this review are working on a patch.

Unless you are in the icy grasp of nostalgia, you will be doing yourself a service if you just ignore the fact this ever got released and wait for Power Stone 2 to get ported over to start your Dreamcast collection. It just is not fun.

If you enjoy strategy games, you'll enjoy R.U.S.E.. The best part of the game is unfortunately riddled with balancing issues and saddled with a dead community. A shame really, especially for an overlooked genre.

Mafia 2 is a step backward for this franchise, failing to innovate or learn from the mistakes of the original. A nice setting and potentially interesting story is wasted by a lack of creativity and polish.

The presentation is sloppy and pulls you out of the action inexplicably at times, but there is fun to be had here.

As a retail game, Young Thor is merely adequate with its charm and ambition almost doing more than the gameplay can. As a Mini, however, it's the new benchmark for how these things should and can be done, and we can only hope it continues.

Limited control and depth, coupled with a high price, retract somewhat from this title. However, this campy visual novel plays directly at Disgaea fans and works the crowd like no other.

While the overall game doesn't suffer nearly as much as one would expect from a PSP-to-PS2 port, the lack of multiplayer and inherent PSP-ness of it all really only confirms that this nearly three year old title should have stayed on its home platform.

Forget the rest of the game, Tackle Alley is where it's at. Rent the game for that and you may find an accessible, different take on football as a bonus, but by no means should you purchase this as a football game first.

I wanted to like ModNation Racers, but it's simply missing... something. Yes, the controls hurt things, but I can't escape the feeling that the PSP port simply doesn't have the soul of its PS3 counterpart.

NS:UNH3 is only going to be of an interest to fans of the series, and even them, only to fans who haven't been playing the other entries in the series.

Lead and Gold isn't a terrible game, but it is a ghost town. There are enough thriving games of similar design to be found elsewhere.

This is a poor PC port that is in no noticeable way optimized for the PSP.
