What you get out of Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks depends on your familiarity with the series. The more you know, the more you’ll like.- Thunderbolt

At times, it can become annoying how slowly the Bones move around the screen, but it does add just a little more longevity to this first installment, which clocks in at just several hours long.- Thunderbolt

The great license and the professional players just can't make for an entertaining title thanks to a weak graphics engine and poor AI.- Thunderbolt

I do know that every time I sit down to play this game, after sitting through the too-long-for-what-you-get loading screens, I just want to turn it off, and that’s not a feeling that I want to have when playing a game.- Thunderbolt

It’s not the best racing game on the system (a title I still contend is held by "Ridge Racer"), but it is probably the one that’s going to keep you entertained the longest.- Thunderbolt

As it is, there’s not enough right with it to grab the interest of an ice hockey rookie like me. The graphics look a bit dated, the sound is ok, the controls are smooth, comfortable and as simple or as complex as you want to make them.- Thunderbolt

The lack of unique modes is disappointing, as is the lack of focus on newbies.. Hardcore “dancers” will be in heaven, but everyone else will find themselves left in the dust.- Thunderbolt

Multiplayer options, offline and online, are perhaps the best way to experience 187 Ride or Die, but it's little consolation for the mediocre singleplayer modes.- Thunderbolt

The story is interesting, but many of the scenes seem forced. Controlling the different characters could have been cool, but their movesets are pathetically underdeveloped.- Thunderbolt

Nintendogs is more like one of those squishy stress balls than an actual game. Both are tools to ease some of the strain of everyday life, and both are at peak effectiveness when used in short bursts.- Thunderbolt

This game has it all; the gameplay is solid and far more balanced than those of previous games, the many characters both return and make memorable debuts, and wide variety of new weapons, features and gaming modes will keep you coming back to quench your thirst for mass destruction. Accordingly, this game blows the competition out of the water.- Thunderbolt

Nanostray reminds us what we love about the genre: a bunch of amazing weapons, tons of enemies, and some awe-inspiring background levels. Is it a decent game? Certainly. However, it’s far from perfect.- Thunderbolt

There's really only one word to describe Sid Meier's Pirates! and that's 'charming'. The excellent presentation, clever gameplay design and exquisite pacing mark it out as a unique and well thought out game.- Thunderbolt

It just feels like an incomplete work that got too much artistic style and far too little gaming substance.- Thunderbolt

This is a very basic FPS game that might entertain you for a while, but it’s pretty boring and repetitive and I just couldn’t get that excited about it. Sure, it’s got a lot of flash, but there’s no substance to the game.- Thunderbolt

Is it still one of the greatest games on the DS, and one of the best handheld puzzlers currently out? Absolutely. This game takes everything we love about puzzle games, tweaks it, and serves it to us on a silver platter.- Thunderbolt

I encourage you to pick this up, even with the load time issue. Really, it’s because they tried to fit too much game in this one. It’s simply too big for the tiny PSP to handle.- Thunderbolt

It adds a wealth of new content to the game, not just around the water theme but in other areas as well. RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 feels more complete and polished with the expansion.- Thunderbolt

Team play innovations, graphical supremacy and the thundering roar of enemy jets combined with persistent stats all work together to really put you There. There being any one of the varied, immaculately crafted maps, each available in 16, 32 and 64 player sizes.- Thunderbolt

The sheer amount of destruction is satisfying and the sense of humor is refreshing, but the short length and lack of saves during lengthy missions are what makes this potentially great game merely a good one. Even so, it's still hard to resist the Destroy All Humans' charm.- Thunderbolt

With a loveable hero, incredibly technical handling, and a truckload of features all wrapped up in a wonderfully stylish presentation, Kirby: Canvas Curse not only brings a breath of fresh air to a seemingly stale handheld gaming world, but it also steals the spotlight with its undeniable quality.- Thunderbolt

Though the lack of very original gameplay ideas hurts Area 51, it does have a lot of good things going for it, including a very cool graphics engine and a cool infection mode, which, combined with a low price tag, do justify a purchase of this game.- Thunderbolt
