Fast, furious top down twin-stick shooter that channels the spirit of Smash TV, but goes beyond and expands it. Six player couch co-op is the icing on the cake of shootyness.

The charm of the world, and in particular the cuteness of the Slimes, makes the game a pleasure to play, and there is a surprising amount of depth in the title with the breeding/evolving mechanic.

I have loved my time with Thumper and will carry on loving this mad, mental, skill based music mayhem of a game. There are moments when you might feel it all gets too much and too similar, but take a break before going back and you’ve fall in love with it once again.

I've got more than a feeling that this is just a minor blip for the series.

If you want to travel to the future, hack into a suspect’s mind and have nightmares for a week, then this is the game for you. Trust me it’s well worth it.

Like how the Saints Row franchise started off slowly – eventually turning into a juggernaut filled with fun – the Agents of Mayhem are starting their career off in the same manner. Slowly, solidly and repetitively.

So yes, it seems that we have finally got it - the one true to life Formula One racing experience we have been begging for in recent years.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun brings a particularly brutal challenge, but at no point does it ever feel unfair.

BLACKHOLE: Complete Edition feels like it is set to head in the right direction, but shores up a little too soon. It intrigued me with its Sci-Fi aspects, even if it left me wondering more about how you would close a blackhole than worrying over the gameplay.

I can’t do anything but recommend getting stuck into this very good start to Batman: The Enemy Within, especially if you enjoyed season one. Big things are coming and it’ll only get better.

Absolute Drift: Zen Edition is a game that I have had a lot of fun with. It’s like a love letter to the days of the Japanese drift scene, meeting at midnight to race sideways down the mountain passes.

I would highly recommend giving The Long Dark a go, especially if you’re after something different and love the idea of a survival sim with an interesting story.

If you are a point and click fan who loves a good story then Ken Follett’s The Pillars of the Earth is a must purchase for you. But be warned, this is all about story and character, without QTE fight scenes and any supernatural powers.

Iceflake Studios have proven that you don’t need to push every boundary possible in order to create a good game. You just need to ensure it has been injected with a dose of fun. And Race Arcade has just about been given that.

Sniper Elite 4: Deathstorm Part 3 – Obliteration is certainly a better showing than the previous entry, and is a fitting end to the Deathstorm storyline.

At the end of the day, as with the vast majority of gamers, I don’t mind a good puzzler. But it’s got to bring a bit of fun to the table at the same time. Jump, Step, Step struggles in that department.

With the lovely visuals, stunning soundtrack and ‘just one more go’ attitude it comes with, GRIDD: Retroenhanced is well worth a hit.

It’s going to sound weird but Oh… Sir! is a quite a charming game given the context. It has an art style that certainly will not be winning any awards but is weirdly amusing to look at, much like the rest of the game.

To be fair to Chasing Carrots, they’ve not overpriced Pressure Overdrive too much, but if you want to give it a go, I’d say to wait for a sale. There are better twin stick shooters and driving games out there for your hard earned cash.

I think Demetrios – The BIG Cynical Adventure stands out from the crowd for its crudeness and toilet humour, but mainly the fact that it’s just a big silly adventure not to be taken too seriously.

There is a lot of fun to be had with Sine Mora EX. It’s a solid, hard as nails, well crafted bullet fuelled shooter, with a lot to do and a whole bunch of different modes to try out.

Cyber Complex is a neat little puzzle game, with tower defence elements thrown in over a tiny hint of Pacman. When I finally worked out how to actually play the game, I had a lot of fun with it and it’s a great title to dip in and out of for five minutes at a time.

When everything comes together Super Cloudbuilt feels effortless; it’s smooth and gorgeous fun. It’s just a shame that those special moments aren’t more common.
