Velocibox is an incredibly difficult and addictive endless runner that is as fun as it is frustrating. This game is not for the amateur hour and novices should probably steer clear.

The Quiet Collection is a bundle of four short but charming adventure games. With clever puzzles and an adorable story line these games manage to pack a good amount of fun into a very small package. The highly pixelated art might be a turn off initially, but The Quiet Collection is a game whose beauty in on the inside.

Taco Master is an extremely fun game. It does have some lag troubles, but despite what you may originally think of it and its apparent content, you'll find yourself finding a groove and having a blast making tacos.

While Bon Appetit! may not be up there with the likes of Project Diva and DJ Max, it carves its own little niche into my playlist with a unique blend of fanservice, originality, customization and rhythm.

It's not a perfect port and a few issues do hold it back from being a 'must have' title, but if you only own a Vita and are looking for something fun and cheap to pick up and play you really can’t go wrong with this game.

A unique 2D shooter/platformer hybrid held back by a tough controls and a steep learning curve. If you can persevere, you'll probably find yourself getting hooked.

Lara Croft Go is a gorgeous cel-shaded puzzle game featuring everyone's favourite Tomb Raider. Although the game is fairly short it is entertaining and worth trying even if you've never played a Tomb Raider game before. I am really looking forward to seeing what the franchise does next.

Superdimension takes a number of steps forward for the series and a few steps back. Overall I really enjoyed it and it's clear a lot of care went into thinking up new and interesting mechanics but sadly an overuse of old content holds the game back from being outstanding.

While Dragon Fantasy Book II is far from a bad game, it doesn't quite live up to its predecessor. The story is hilarious and characters are great. Even the graphics are good with the new models allowing for more expression, but the buggy combat system ultimately weighs the whole game down.

If you're looking for an introduction to the beat 'em up genre, look no further - as MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies is a prime choice for just that very purpose. That said, anyone else may have a hard time finding a challenge, and the story just isn't all that cohesive or memorable.

While many will love the more relaxed pace I can't help feel that it now means you're much more likely to notice the unfortunately lackluster battle system. Thankfully the game has some really great characters and a fun revamped alchemy system which helps to make up for this.

Akiba's Trip is filled with the things an otaku loves; strange plots, fanservice, Japanese culture/references and a great location. What it doesn't offer however, is a lot of depth, an overly lengthy story line or any shame.

A Boy and His Blob is a beautiful and heart-warming game with a classic 2D platformer feel. The game is not particularly long and most of the puzzles are not particularly challenging but its charm and beauty make it a worthwhile experience. The boss fights are fun and some of the challenge levels will keep you busy for a while.

For those of you who have never played a Deception title, The Nightmare Princess is a fantastic entry point for newcomers with tons of content and replay value. But for those who have previously purchased Blood Ties, aside from the new quests, there is nothing here that's worth the full asking price.

Knobswitch is a tiny little score chaser that is totally worth the two bucks. You'll get your money's worth as long as you stick with it and don't get too frustrated.

It's difficult to call Plague of Shadows an essential expansion to the Shovel Knight experience, but if you're seriously craving the need to play through the game and experience it in a different way then this is worth a look. However, if you don't want your fond memories of the original game tarnishing at all then it'll be best to avoid this one.

Rocketbirds 2: Evolution is an explosive and humorous take on the action games of yesteryear. Combine that with the visual sheen of a modern title and it sounds like an instant win. However, uneven characters and the hit-and-miss soundtrack wear it down its charm. Extra finnicky controls for precise aiming, large difficulty spikes, and bullet sponge enemies hold it back even further from greatness.

Dungeon Punks is a well rounded, competent entry in the 2D action brawler genre, while lacking depth in certain areas, its easy to grasp gameplay and light-hearted tone make this definitely worth a look.

All in all MS Gundam Extreme VS-Force is a decent action game with plenty of content to get stuck into. Some of the execution could do with refinement and don’t expect an enthralling story but on the whole there is an enjoyable experience here that is definitely worth a look if you’re interested.

Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers is a brave attempt to take the over the top action of Dynasty Warriors and combine it with more strategic type gameplay. The result is a good - if unrefined - strategy game that is more than enough to scratch that tactical itch.

With a decent story and a lot of replay value this title could last you a while and is available at a sensible price, but it's not without its issues and will take up a huge chunk of your memory card. However, it is worth playing and if you enjoy and want more games like these on the Vita then you should consider supporting it.

Hitman GO: Definitive Edition is a brilliant puzzle/strategy game that sees the bald assassin make his debut on the PlayStation Vita. Although it may not appeal to everyone, those that do play it will find an enjoyable game that is entertaining yet challenging.

Farming Simulator 16 returns to the Vita, and it's bigger and better than ever. A number of small tweaks and additional features makes it the best portable farming sim yet. But those improvements come with a steep price tag, and the improvements are probably not enough for an upgrade. Still, for people looking to jump in to a relaxing and long farm management game, Farming Simulator 16 is a good place to start.

Lumo is a very challenging and difficult game that harks back to the earlier days of isometric gameplay. Even with its nostalgia fuelled frustration it will have you going back for more.
