Released at a budget price, there’s really no excuse for not giving Metro: Redux a whirl.

Whatever your interest in the world of American Football it is here, you can either take a bite from every dish or simply keep ordering your favourite food. And the good news is that it is all tasty, not perfect, but pretty irresistible.

It’s a small step in the right direction for the genre but the lack of players means that in this particular space sim, there’s no-one to hear you scream.

The gameplay is as fun and addictive as ever, but while added features breathe plenty of new life into the old formula, they aren’t enough to keep The Sims 4 from feeling like half a game. It isn’t a complete misstep, but it’s certainly a long way from the heights intended for it.

Flockers is a decent game and although it doesn’t do anything new its gameplay is mostly enjoyable, with a few frustrating parts here and there.

Hohokum tries to be all things to all gamers, attempting to fit inside both the ‘game’ camp and the interactive art collective. That it succeeds, somewhat, is a compliment to the developers and the artist, but this attempt is also what holds Hohokum back from real greatness in either distinction.

Ultimately, it will always be remembered as “the sequel to Tales of Xillia”, rather than as an event in its own right.

What that means for the third instalment remains to be seen, but as the conclusion to this particular story No Going Back lacks the punch of the first season’s finale and becomes an analogue of the second season as a whole: an above-average game which has vainly struggled to step out of its predecessor’s shadow.

Unpolished to the point of seeming unfinished in places, The Golf Club isn’t a rival to the EA Sports Tiger Woods franchise but is more of a throwback to the hardcore, simulation days of Links.

It’s just a shame that a promising start has once again been squandered at the penultimate point, leaving a great deal of damage control to be done in the finale.

Table Top Racing does come across as being rather too easy, but as far as Vita racing games go, it is one of the most accessible, and certainly one of the most enjoyable.

Whilst not quite in the same league as Zen’s endeavour into the Star Wars universe, mainly due to the table feeling far smaller than its predecessor, The Walking Dead is a fun blast for a few hours and a great introduction to the table range for newbies.

Stripping racing back to the basics, Codemasters have crafted a simple game that’s one-hundred-percent about the racing while also proving that going for the simple option doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the easy one.

inFAMOUS: First Light is simply more inFAMOUS; if you enjoy the games then we recommend you pick this up, however if you’re not a fan then First Light won’t change your opinion in the slightest.

Throw in other common Lego issues, such as an extremely boring hub sidegame based on combat (why isn’t there an option to play a randomised ‘Return to Sender’ score attack? Or anything additional to do with the vehicles?) and you have to count Lego Ninjago: Nindroids very much as a missed opportunity.

CounterSpy has a lot going for it, its unique take on the Cold War is one we very much enjoyed and the cel-shaded art style definitely caught our attention and demanded we admire it. However, a few too many annoyances got in our way of truly enjoying the game, such as the occasional awkward placement of an enemy and the unfair situations you can find yourself in when you are overwhelmed with guards.

It is certainly not a complete success however. Even on the easier difficulty setting players will still be sitting through repeated animations, and the loss of huge swathes of time after each failure can drive one mad. Meanwhile the reliance on chance, while admittedly in fitting with the reality of such situations, feels cumbersome and can really ramp up frustration. In the end it all depends on how much suffering you are willing to devote to a game.

From this newcomer’s perspective, Sacred 3 is a cheesy, flawed B-movie of an arcade brawler that you might get a few evenings’ entertainment out of before consigning it to the very depths of your games pile, never to infirm. I mean, return.

Sniper Elite III continues to evolve the series and it’s evident that Rebellion have attempted to open up the franchise, offering more freedom. Unfortunately this comes at the cost of a pure sniping experience – something most will be looking for, given the title.

The Last Of Us Remastered absolutely deserves a place in your PlayStation 4 collection, despite whether you’ve played it before or not. The improvements this remaster brings only helps to show you how much of an incredible, beautiful, emotional and downright amazing game this is.

But, I digress – the framework is there for an excellent game. However, just as they did back on original release, the driving mechanics of Rorona Plus leave you unable to appreciate these systems fully, your journey around Arland never really feels epic enough, and apart from a couple of overpowered bosses towards the end the combat is too limited.

Quest for Infamy is an extremely rough diamond, buried under one too many layers of mess. If one can dig it out they will find a real gem, and it shows promise for future offerings from this team.
