Minor inconveniences aside, Injustice 2 surpasses not only its predecessor but most fighting games on the market today. Boasting a vibrant roster of characters, plenty of replayability and some of the smoothest gameplay we’ve ever seen from the genre, it makes for a superb beat-em-up whether you’re a button basher or a combo king. To think, we would never have been treated to such a well-made fighter if not for the marriage of seemingly unrelated franchises all those years ago.- The Digital Fix

From the little tweaks like the menu being cleaner and more responsive, to the adding of modes that are useful and not superfluous, Rocksmith 2014 is as excellent a prospect that it could ever have been. So if you are interested in picking up a guitar for the first time and can’t afford tutoring, it is really hard to not recommend a purchase here.- The Digital Fix

Spectacular visuals, weighty gunplay and a great single player campaign that is complemented perfectly by what we have seen of the multiplayer all combine to provide the triple-A title that the gaming commentariat have been clamouring for.- The Digital Fix

With impressive tactical depth, a challenging campaign, an excellent multiplayer suite and an outrageously deep set of tools for user-generated content, Wargroove is one of the games of 2019 and is well worth a look - doubly so for Advance Wars veterans.- The Digital Fix

Paper Beast blew me away. It was not what I was expecting at all and it challenged me, not too much but just enough to get my brain working. Its beautiful, it sounds amazing and its a game like no other on PlayStation VR. If you want to play something a bit different, just go and buy it. It will not be everyone's cup of tea but I can see a lot of people really enjoying it. I did.- The Digital Fix

On sheer value for money alone The Master Chief Collection is a fantastic proposition, add in that it contains some of the highest regarded Xbox titles of all time, touched up, enhanced and fit for a whole new generation of players, it’s quite simply a must buy.- The Digital Fix

Resident Evil 2 is a near perfect remake full of impressive visuals, grotesque designs, sharp gunplay and a simple, effective plot. With only a couple of incredibly minor niggles such as a occasionally wooden scripting and performance taking the smallest amount of shine off an otherwise beautifully polished and restored piece of video game history, Capcom have proven that even an aged classic can meet modern expectations. Here's hoping Resident Evil 3 is in the works.- The Digital Fix

A great e-shop title whose simplicity belies the challenge that lays ahead. The diminutive soundtrack is a drawback but it really is our only major complaint.- The Digital Fix

The remarkable thing here is that Crystal Dynamics have rebooted the Tomb Raider series, told an origin story of how the globe-trotting archaeological action figure came to be, all wrapped up in a contemporised package delivering examples of all that is good about games today, all whilst making it feel like a Lara Croft game.- The Digital Fix

Two Point Hospital is entertaining, quirky and very funny. It has a nice learning curve and its gameplay never gets stale. It improves on the game that influenced it in most areas and does not try to re-invent what was a good game to start with. I really enjoyed it a lot and I think most people will to.- The Digital Fix

Frostpunk is bleak. Really bleak. Each decision serves not to ensure progress, but to ensure survival against overwhelming odds. It’s essentially a Crisis Management Simulator, and I love it for that. Just remember to play something more cheerful immediately afterwards.- The Digital Fix

From it's cute inhabitants to its picture book environments, Ghost Giant is a joy to be part of. It's perhaps a bit on the short side but the time you spend here will be fun and immersive. The story is very moving and surprisingly deep. It's soundtrack pushes you through the story nicely and accentuates it's more emotional parts beautifully. Interacting with its world is glorious and I have never felt part of a VR games world more than I did here.- The Digital Fix

Audica is certainly unique, and provides a good change of pace alongside a more robust title like Beat Saber, but it isn't yet the industry innovator that it could be. It has a high skill floor and an even higher skill ceiling, but maintains the universal reward when you put the time in and improve. [Ear; Access Score = 70]- The Digital Fix

The combat and gunplay have also been quite challenging at times. The AI is some of the best I’ve experienced in the genre as enemies don’t always just run up to you in open space (though, they tend to do so at times) but also attempt to flank you while you’re trying to take down a sniper from afar. Movement and cover are key to staying alive. The “bullet sponge” effect does still seem to be prevalent with mini-bosses and bosses despite the new armor system which intended to make gunfights more strategic. I’m still holding hope for some more interesting boss battles later in the game.- The Digital Fix

All in all, the Off The Grid DLC has been fun and a great addition to what seems an ever-expanding game. It always seems to come offer on Steam as well, so if you are missing it from your collection, it is a must buy. Ultimately, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 is an entertaining, albeit often simple, game full of sporting events that'll get friends and family set for some multiplayer fun. It's not as comprehensive as it perhaps could be in the way it allows players to set up their multiplayer sessions, but the variety and charm when it comes to the way everything is presented helps lift the whole package up.- The Digital Fix

Whilst there's lots here to keep fans of management and colony building games entertained, there's still a lot that needs to be worked on. The use of 'specialists' who explore the world map, feel like they need an overhaul so that this part of the game is more engaging, and the point of having them feels more important to the overall wellbeing of your colony. The fact it's in early management still is good, as hopefully these issues will be addressed, and the actual colony building side of the game provides a lot of fun. It can be hard to rate an early-access title because you have to understand that what you're playing isn't complete yet, regardless of how good or bad it is. However, in its current state, Valheim is already well worth picking up. The future is very bright for this game. [Early Access Provisional Score = 80]- The Digital Fix

There are lots of areas that aren't fully detailed and one would hope that Asobo Studios work on beefing up the introductory side of the game ahead of its release on the Xbox One. There are times where the novel-sized instruction manuals of the past really should still exist and this is one of them. Despite this the game is still welcoming and post training you'll have no trouble jumping into any of the game's aircraft and taking to the skies - knowing the basics is enough to have fun but the amount of depth means that there's always something new to discover. Our hope right now is that Asobo and Microsoft manage to improve performance for those of us on lesser rigs and that a patch is forthcoming to help boost the frame rate a little. I can appreciate the game at less than 20fps in low settings but I would love to be truly blown away by it.- The Digital Fix
