Unspottable is everything you want from a couch party game. It's easy to pick up and play, and there is the potential for all sorts of shenanigans. Other party games might offer more variety and crucially, online modes, but Unspottable sticks to its core and is a whole lot of fun.- The Digital Fix

Animal Farm remains an important story, and this retelling in game format feels incredibly timely and poignant. With lots of ways the game can play out depending on your choices, you can revisit Orwell's themes as well as being able to dive even deeper into them.- The Digital Fix

TENS! has simple controls, a unique combination of puzzle elements, and a challenging difficulty curve - but its lack of varied multiplayer makes it a very brief experience unless played sporadically. If you're mathematically-minded, don't mind listening to the same soundtracks over and over again, and don't care for the loose narrative linking the puzzles together, then TENS! will win you over.- The Digital Fix

CrossKrush is a short, compact puzzler that will entertain its players for as long as its ten levels last. There's some replay value in its various modes and multiplayer, but if you've memorised the solutions to each puzzle or perfected your strategy, there's no challenge to the gameplay. With limited content and often-frustrating controls to boot, this is a game suited only for casual playthroughs.- The Digital Fix

Cake Bash is a fun party game with a lot of potential, but with relatively few bash modes and minigames, it can feel repetitive after a while. The limited progression and fast unlockables also mean that when your completion hits 100%, you may see little reason to continue playing. However, with the freedom to play against bots, local friends or online, if looking for a cute, quick and easy party game to jump into, Cake Bash may fit the bill.- The Digital Fix

I initially loved the survival and building aspects of The Walking Dead Onslaught. Unfortunately it wore thin quite quick. Double Kick Heroes is an explosive action rhythm-based game filled with original and licensed metal music to enjoy. My Hero One’s Justice 2 is, expectedly, a slightly better, more story-relevant take on 2018’s surprise hit. The additions aren’t enough to sway those who were unsure of the original, yet appreciated enough for those that did play the proceeding game. No doubt the extended roster is the breakout addition, sure, but outside of those already invested in the My Hero Academia-verse, there’s little to be excited about, bar a damn good, albeit wholly casual, stylish anime fighter. And, seriously, who can argue with that?- The Digital Fix

Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders is not a remaster or remake, in fact it’s barely a port. Whilst the scale of the game makes it fun in places, it looks and feels incredibly dated, and you’ll lose a lot of that fun if you’re wedded to mouse and keyboard. It’s an old game, presented warts and all: if bad camera controls, dodgy voice acting and uninspiring storylines are going to put you off, then keep away. On the other hand the game is quite cheap, and it remains the gold standard for a genre that never really got the attention it deserves. If you’re a fan of the original it’s likely a must-buy, for everyone else I’d temper your expectations accordingly.- The Digital Fix

Sadly, you can’t help but compare it to Until Dawn which quite frankly did everything better. Man of Medan is over far too quickly and doesn’t have the same impact of Supermassive’s previous entry. It is, however, a short but sweet enjoyable romp which is way better when played with friends.- The Digital Fix

While not a bad game by any means, Damsel seems to lack polish and direction. With a mediocre story and overly cluttered environments, it struggles to find its footing as either a story-rich game or speedrunning twitch fest. If one direction was chosen, the potential seen here could certainly be reached.- The Digital Fix

While some technical issues plague this highly atmospheric action adventure, Control has a highly customizable combat system that is fun and addictive to play.- The Digital Fix

RAD's mix of randomized abilities, enemy variation and busy landscapes make for a middling rogue-like. These elements combined with difficulty that's too often mitigated with ranged attacks keep RAD from being truly radical, but there's definitely fun to be had.- The Digital Fix

Solseraph could have been a great game, unfortunately, its just not very entertaining. The city building bits are good enough but they get broken up by very bland platforming sections, they just don't seem to fit very well and feel rushed. It is certainly unique with its mixture of game styles but it is too disjointed to be enjoyed to its fullest.- The Digital Fix

Even though Telefrag VR is fun at times, it mostly turned out to be a repetitive experience that's light on modes and features. I rarely found human players online and with barely any progression at all, I found the whole experience deflating. Its unfortunate, there are some good ideas buried underneath the surface of this VR shooter.- The Digital Fix

Friday the 13th The Game makes an attempt at a killing but merely manages to fall on its own machete due to its clunky controls and limited gameplay options.- The Digital Fix

Beyond Two Souls is a mixed game, with many elements of the story amounting to binary choices, some aspects of the narrative being poorly fleshed out and gameplay regularly amounting to choosing whether to be terrible or not. At the same time though, there are enough satisfying moments that provoke empathy for Paige's character and moral quandary to intrigue and entertain those drawn to coming of age stories and tales of the supernatural.- The Digital Fix

In trying to be so many things at once, Songbird Symphony never truly succeeds at any of them. This is far from a deal breaker, however, as the game is an enjoyable and unique combination of elements. This mix is then paired with the adorable protagonist, funny writing with a lot of childish puns, and a bouncy soundtrack to create possibly the most wholesome game this year.- The Digital Fix

Zanki Zero: Last Beginning has a riveting and intriguing story; it’s a shame then that the rest of the game feels like a series of afterthoughts thrown in at random intervals in the game’s development, and both the story and gameplay feel like they stop the other getting much momentum.- The Digital Fix
