Amnesia is a horror classic that has lost a little of its bite over the years, but can still provide some genuine scares. Performance issues do bring this version down, but the games are still worth experiencing for new players.- Switch Player

Overwatch makes a great addition to the Nintendo Switch library, but its weak performance and FPS issues do dampen the experience. While certainly not the prettiest or most technically competent version of the game, diving in for a few games alone or with friends has never been easier.- Switch Player

Pawarumi is an enjoyable enough shoot-em-up, but performs poorly on the Switch. Its repetitive artwork, backing audio and narrative sequences make it gripping to play until beaten, at which point, it lacks any replay value.- Switch Player

The repetitive, grindy gameplay in Airheart – Tales of Broken Wings leaves something to be desired. Unless you’re a collector or a hardcore fan of the genre, you might be better off steering clear.- Switch Player

This anthropomorphic zombie point-and-click adventure game may come across as a Happy Tree Friends title, but its slow-moving story and irritating cast unfortunately won’t excite you for future episodes in the series.- Switch Player

One Night Stand is too short to offer a satisfying visual novel. The emphasis here is on making different decisions to get all twelve endings, but subsequent playthroughs are shorter and nowhere near as interesting as the first.- Switch Player

Acthung! Cthulhu Tactics will offer a good, alternate experience to long-time fans of the genre, but has some issues across the board that hold it back from being something that stands out on its own merits.- Switch Player

Representing yet another step forward for the RPG genre, Little Town Hero brings something fresh and engaging to the table. It perhaps needs more polish, but Game Freak are on to something special here and a sequel would be welcomed.- Switch Player

Habroxia is a space shooter that’s far too straightforward and lacking in personality. It won’t live long in the memory at all, and perhaps is a symbol to indicate that this genre has become dated.- Switch Player

Ritual is an overpriced and, unfortunately, very lacklustre game on the Switch with few redeeming features. As a game that can be started for free on mobile, this title is hard to recommend to anyone unless already a fan.- Switch Player

Mable and the Wood could have been a smoother, more intuitive experience, and it is only disappointing that it isn’t. The idea was a good one, but its execution leaves much to be desired.- Switch Player

Should it not have been for the unfortunate technical issues found in the larger areas, Darksiders II would have been an easy recommendation on the Switch. Unfortunately, should you still want to experience this grand adventure, it’s best done elsewhere.- Switch Player

Legend of the Skyfish is a game with potential, but unclear direction. It lacks incentive, and its story feels like too small pieces of something more. There is some variety on offer between the islands, but a tedious drawn-out tutorial-esque start dampens the experience.- Switch Player

Headliner: NoviNews is a hard-hitting news cycle simulator that takes the choose-your-own adventure model through dark themes and into the political cycle of a country in turmoil. Issues with controls and short, repeated play-throughs are a bummer, but tolerable.- Switch Player

Sniper Elite III: Ultimate Edition is a third-person stealth shooter that takes you through the Africa campaign during WWII. Featuring gore-laden sniper shot cutscenes and comprehensive gameplay, you can really see why this one is a cult classic.- Switch Player

Mekabolt is an adequate puzzle platformer to pass idle time, but it doesn’t do anything we haven’t seen before. If you’re looking for something fresh and innovative, there are definitely some better alternatives out there.- Switch Player

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Complete Edition is like any addictive substance. You need it, you always have to have more, and once you have it, you never want to be without it again. With its immense content load, well-crafted systems and engaging combat, you’ll soon forget that this is a downgraded port of the game.- Switch Player

Blasphemous is a visually stunning action-adventure platformer that will leave you clamouring for more. Challenging even the most skilled players, you’ll be left shaking your head at your own incompetence while unwaveringly resuming your quest as the Penitent One.- Switch Player

Wondershot is a fun game to play with friends and family, but that fun will expire after an hour or so of playing. It’s a shame that for a multiplayer game, the most fun can be had from the game’s single-player offerings.- Switch Player

Dead by Daylight makes the transition to Switch adequately, retaining all the asymmetrical horror goodness it’s known for, albeit looking a little worse for wear. The higher price is off-putting, but the flexibility of handheld play certainly helps.- Switch Player

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition boasts a living, breathing world, with Larian Studios appearing to have perfected the formula of the RPG. From the moment-to-moment gameplay, this was an absolute joy to play through, and it’s hard to see where the developers can go next.- Switch Player

Pretty. Inoffensive. Rote. Others might find the DNA of something pure that they want to pass on to someone close: a niece or nephew, son or daughter. Trine is a series that is well worth introducing to those just getting to grips with the medium. And this installment adds to that library of introductory possibilities. But it doesn’t use the platform it has to push boundaries and explore the unknown in fairytale video games.- Switch Player

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair doesn’t have the charm of the original game, but it is a very good 2.5 platformer. Remember that this is a spin-off and not a sequel and you’ll enjoy yourself more.- Switch Player
