Wuppo: Definitive Edition is a charming game that will delight players who don’t take it too seriously. The Switch version doesn’t translate as well as it could have, but this doesn’t take too much away from the really unique experience.

It is one of the best games I have played, it is next to Sonic Mania and Super Mario Galaxy, it is just fun... the gameplay is not perfect, but it is fun in the only boss that frustrated me was the Rock who is the second Boss since there the game never stops advancing, if you don't know what to do you can stay doing secondary missions and even so it's FUN!!!!, I highly recommend it and even better if you play the PC version

The game is oozing with charm and cuteness and I always wanted to come back to play more. I found the story to be confusing, as well as the names of characters, but I still had a great time playing the whole way through. The writing is fun and and simple, making you laugh at how silly some of the conversations become. I also love the filmstrips concept, i think it’s a great way to get a better understanding of the world. Some puzzles are difficult to solve and the Switch experiences heavy slow downs during big boss fights. Other than that, the game is extremely enjoyable and I am recommending it to everyone I can. There's a lot of charm in the dialog and visuals.

The problem comes pretty soon after that though, when you get back to the hotel after a few minor puzzles and platforming challenges, and the plot doesn't know where to go next. It's a game focusing on the silly story, but it feels aimless and without structure after the initial plot-point. Occasionally the game is still funny, especially the dialog, but the gameplay is simple and often you walk long eventless corridors to figure out what to do next.

When it comes to adventure platformers, there are much better and more focused ones to play first, especially Wandersong which I recommend with all my heart. But if you don't mind some tediousness, this one might still be worth picking up if you've already played everything else on your wishlist.
