The game starts promising enough, with your little ball character being kicked out of his hotel and his TV being stolen on top of that! There's a lot of charm in the dialog and visuals.

The problem comes pretty soon after that though, when you get back to the hotel after a few minor puzzles and platforming challenges, and the plot doesn't know where to go next. It's a game focusing on

The problem comes pretty soon after that though, when you get back to the hotel after a few minor puzzles and platforming challenges, and the plot doesn't know where to go next. It's a game focusing on the silly story, but it feels aimless and without structure after the initial plot-point. Occasionally the game is still funny, especially the dialog, but the gameplay is simple and often you walk long eventless corridors to figure out what to do next.

When it comes to adventure platformers, there are much better and more focused ones to play first, especially Wandersong which I recommend with all my heart. But if you don't mind some tediousness, this one might still be worth picking up if you've already played everything else on your wishlist.

Wuppo: Definitive Edition is a charming game that will delight players who don’t take it too seriously. The Switch version doesn’t translate as well as it could have, but this doesn’t take too much away from the really unique experience.
